Alas, this cache has met the same fate as Barwon Bonanza. It's such a fantastic area, will have to think of putting another one in somewhere along the way!
Greetings from Geocaching.com
I noticed this cache while approving new caches in the area. It looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.
It may be possible that if this isnt done in 3 months after being temp disabled that an approver may archive it.
I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.
Thanks,
embi

Damn it - after successfully finding 4 caches around the Ocean Grove/Pt Londsdale area, we thought that we could pick this one up on our way home to Melbourne. However after searching for over an hour we failed. An absolutely brilliant day with lots of activity going on around us, but no matter where we looked - amongst the trees, in the shrubs, on the ground - nothing. GeoJo said that it has been less camouflaged since 24 Nov., but I am now thinking that it is gone (i.e. how could such an "expert" team such as us not find this cache after finding 4 during the day [:p]).
I will be following this page to see if any one else finds it - in which case I will have to admit that we really are just beginners.

... straight from "There's a Party on the Hill" failure to this one for a second go, particularly given the recent log. (Is that why I missed it the first time????)
Geko pushed me to the same place as attempt 1 and even had me right on GZ (0.00-m with a 7-m accuracy) but as before, nothing after yet another 20 minute search. (Maybe I should walk a dog or go to K-Mart beforehand .)
I did find an empty press-seal lunch bag about 5-m from GZ but I think that might have been pure co-incidence rather than a plundered cache.

Found it at appox. 16:45. Our third of four attempts for the day.
After some final Christmas shopping at nearby Kmart we headed to this one.
We were most impressed by the local Motorcross Club racing that was going on and amazed at the height that they were getting over the jumps.
Any way we headed of to the cache (the wrong side at first), but after a short stroll we were at GZ. After a short search my wife found it. (A milestone for her as it was the first cache she had found before me... )
Not too long after we were doing the swaps and filling the log book out by the side of the river watching the skiers pass by.
Took: Lunch Cooler
Left: Toy Boat
Thanks GeoJo...

Paid a maintenance visit to the cache after recent heavy rain. Surprised to find it wasn't where I left it, and after some searching found it hidden a few metres away. Changed the container to a more waterproof type and added a few extra goodies. The cache is now in its original hiding place, but with less camouflage.
After a hard (and frustrating) day at the 13th office, I though I'd introduce BiL BriYo to the joys of caching. After firstly being on the wrong side of the river (d'oh), we trekked to what Geko pointed out to be the exact location. Alas, after turning over every pine needle(?) in the area for about twenty minutes, no luck.
Finally, a call from Sis CasYo meant a hasty retreat (or death was going to await us with nasty, big pointed teeth ). In the immortal words of Gen Douggy Mac though, "I shall return".

found stash by accident whilst looking for my dogs play ball. Great game you've got going. added cable tie and pk of tomato seeds, released a cockroach that had found its way into the tin. Current location is at risk of flooding, river rose to within 60cm of stash in the last week.
Final one for the day finally starting to get the hang of how all this works. This one was well hidden, took a lot longer to find than the other 2.
Thanks GeoJo
Thanks GeoJo
OK. 4 riverside caches today, and 4 times I went to the wrong side of the river first. This goes against the law of averages I'm sure. All the way up one side, all the way back, cross the river, all the way up again. Then walked right up to the cache. Thanks GeoJo
My brother Geoff discovered this one while I was looking at the co-ords on the gps. at 4:45pm I took the glow in the dark frog and left the Mc donalds flinstones toy. thanks again Geojo
Muzza, Alan-san and I headed to this cache. Muzza noticed we weren't too far from the end of our Pocket Puzzler so headed back to the car for the rest of his puzzle. After a brief search Alan-san announced he had found the cache . 5 Mins later I discovered it. We filled out the log to the sound of motorbike zooming across the way. Plus jet boats on the river. Quiet a pleasant site.
Cache found at 1550 swapped a frog for a stamp. Great cover job for the cache GeoJo. Thanks for the great park.

Found at 3:50pm, with Kiwideb after a quick search. For a cache that sticks out a bit, it seems to blend into the environment quite well. In the background all sort of activities were going on; motor cross, water skiing, golf and now geocaching . Swapped an astronaught figurine for a Japanese Gardens fridge magnet.
It was a hive of activity at the start of the paths, a kayak race, motor cross, golf, mountain bikers and joggers everywhere. We made a rough measurement in the melways, picked our path and headed off. With 60m to go we decided that the other path would be a much better choice . The second path was much nicer, and the co-ords were spot-on, as our tadpole kicked the bucket (so to speak) with 0.00m to go. The female members of Team Frogger decided on exchanging the eye-liner for a glow-in-the-dark frog and (another) golf ball found on site.
Thanx Jo, very nice park.

Got within 500m thought that was as close as we could go, after tripping over railway line, falling in the creek(Later seeing a sign saying water way containing blue green algae), ripping pant on barwire fence, number 2 was ready too give up. Number one and +3 had a good find. We then found the easy way out - not cross country.
Took nothing left nothing. Thanks Geo Jo.

Found at 1440, after a pleasant walk into the park. Lots of waterskiers zipping up and down, and the moto-x riders sounded like they were having lotsa fun too.
We swapped a keyring for a stubby flat-blade screwdriver. Thanks JoMac!

Found after a short search. It was amazing how hard it was to see even though it was out in the open. Nothing exchanged. Greg and Bev
Took a bit of searching but we eventually found this one close to where our GPS said it should be. Plenty of activity on the river. Took horn and left golf ball and smoothers eye liner pencil. Thanks JoMac.
Found at 14.30 after a very pleasant lunch break along the river. Watched the ducks teaching their chicks a few tricks. Took those classy diamond cuff links, left astronaut.
Thanks JoMac.
Thanks JoMac.
Found by Kevin,Meredith and Heather (K's mum) at 2.15pm
Heather was first to spot this after a very short search.
This cache is in a lovely location and we enjoyed reading the logbook on the river bank.
We took the TB and a lion stamp and left a bike horn.
We really enjoyed this cache
Thanks Jo-Mac

I was on a bit of a roll. I had already found 9 for the day, and had two more cache sheets to go, this being the tenth. Having seen the previous entries, I was concerned that my remaining time would be taken up here, with a possible failure on the cards.
Fortunately this was not the case. I was able to find it within a short period of time, but that may have just been good luck. I agree with Nomads. It is not particularly well concealed, but it is hard to find.
No swap was made. It is again in a lovely location. The walk in and out was very pleasant - calm and tranquil. Thanks again JoMac. This was the fifth of your caches I found today.

Found by Ray and Maya (The Nomads) at 2:15PM. This cache was quite difficult to find even though it was not especially concealed. It was very well camouflaged. I must have walked past it several times during the search. We swapped a Koala wrap for EMBI's signature disk. We have yet to find out what that is. Thanks JoMac, from Ray and Maya.
Found mid afternoon after searching for awhile. Had a little help from a previous finder, only to say that we were in the right spot. Well hidden and you have to look VERY closely. Took pot gnome and left nanook TB and an embi geocaching signature item
Updated the co-ordinates from the original .691S / .728E after averaging GZ with the two Magellans. Strange how the readings can vary from day to day! Wonder if this will make it easier for the next people?
Found (eventually) by Mary & David at 1700. We actually spent over an hour looking for this cache from 1300, then went away to regroup and get a tiny hint from JoMac, returning for a final assault at 1645. As it turned out, the coordinates were pretty good (GPSr showed 8m at the cache), and we must have passed right next to it several times in our search. It is carefully hidden and its colouring means it has natural camouflage. Amazing to see the flood guage where we turned off the road to park. Hope the cache doesnt have to cope with some of those heights! Pelicans and swans flying overhead, and the occasional pedestrian and cyclist on the path - they weren't a bother, but it might be different at the weekend. We took a twisty Praying mantis garden tie, and left a hanging pot gnome. We also evacuated the Dream Catcher TB from its precarious place in the flood zone and will replace it on higher ground later this week. A good one JoMac - we certainly were challenged.
