Logs
Thanks for the find. Has lost its lid. Tried to put a rock on top for a bit of protection
Today we are staying in Franklin and having a day out in the Huon Valley. We also visited Willie Smiths for lunch which was epic. Really enjoyed our visit of the other side of the river visiting some lovely spots and beaches.Canister still full of black ants . TFTC
TFTC. Made the find with JnPP. Unfortunately the canister was full of black ants and we were unable to sign the log. Have sent a photo to the CO
Found it.Urgent maintenance needed however as it has been turned into an ant nest. Full of ants and their eggs.Wasn't able to sign the log due to this.
Found on our travels today. The pine tree is sadly deceased so cache was plainly visible but we hid it back best we could. Log replaced as the previous one was mush so all good for the next visit. TFTC
Tree has seen better days and cache no longer attached in assumed position. Needs maintenance photo to CO
1. The pine tree is dead
2. The cache is no longer attached
3. Was found laying on the ground
4. The log is a blob of mash
5. Maintenance please
Pic for evidence of find

I found this a looooong time ago and forgot to log. It was water logged and need of repair. Not sure of the status now. It’s a beautiful spot. Thank you
Another day down south to grab some more unfound hides in the Cygnet / Petcheys Bay area.
A perfect day today TGIF the 2nd of December 2022 was chosen instead of the warm and sunny Saturday the 3rd. 28oC+ days can feel more something like 35oC in the direct sun here. {A 25oC Tassie day is like a 30oC Mainland day i was once told ha ha } The sun here is a Stinger! so Friday the 2nd was chosen.
When i first rolled up here at the parking bay i thought the hint provided was directing me to the most obvious of trees but i followed my GPS and the cache was spotted quickly
The log within was mush so i added a piece of paper with my scribble at 10:42 and replaced as found.

Out on a gorgeous sunny day with RLD4963 and the two GeoGSP's. Lovely quiet spot here, a nice quick find at GZ.

TFTC TNLN log dry. quiet serene bay love this place, nice pine tree.
G'day OldSaint,
Had to do a pickup from a party down this way so came a little earlier for some twilight/starlight/torchlight caching to while away a little time.
Was well dark when I arrived, and then waited a few minutes for another vehicle to leave.
Took a few minutes to find the best access by torchlight, but a nice quick find once at GZ.
Container is no longer tethered, and the logsheet resembles a four part papier-mâché artefact, but dry enough thankfully.
Thanks for the adventure.
Cheers, EPs.

Nice quick find, enjoying escaping a few days away from work the peace and tranquility of our island TFTC
Found with Newy07 while out searching for hiding places for some GA moveables. Canister was dislodged from ties and wedged in fork. Has small crack in canister and logs were damp. Put back with cracked section facing down but needs some TLC.
TFTC OldSaint!

This was one of the last finds for the day with our newly formed cherry crew muggle group, and sadly the logbook was too wet and mulched to scrawl more than an x and take a picture.
Definitely needs a little tlc..
Thank you oldsaint for creating a geocache here and keeping a memory alive.
Sorry for the late log, this was yesterday.

Found with a soaking wet log... smelling faintly of vinegar. Would have tried to dry it out if i had more time. Great spot to hang out and watch the valley. Thanks for the cache!
Found! Couldn't sign as log is soaking wet. Needs replacing.
One of my favourite spots though.

Hooray our first find for the day. After a previous DNF on Siennas animal cache we didnt start our caching day with high hopes. This cache was quickly found in a sweet little spot. Thanks for the cache OldSaint. The clue helped a lot. My brother bought home a Xmas tree one year and I was mortified he had lopped down a native cherry and not a radiator pine! Cache is also water logged but still managed to sign. Thanks!
A beautiful day to be out enjoying this lovely area. There wasn't even a ripple on the water when we were here. A nice & easy find. TFTC OldSaint!

We were out for an afternoon drive with muggle friends. They both enjoy our caching adventures and often are quite helpful. On this occasion MrsM had us pointed in the right direction and cache soon in hand.
Thanks OldSaint.
Thanks OldSaint.
We were out for a drive around the area on a pleasant sunny day... and I stopped here for teh view across the water. On the "off chance" I had a look at my GPS to see if there were any caches nearby and discovered that I was almost standing on top of this one...
Thanks **OldSaint** for putting this cache here.

Today, on a bit of a whim, we decided to take a day-trip south to Petchey's Bay and explore part of the world that we've not really ventured to before - and pick up a few caches along the way, of course! We're definitely glad for that decision - it ended up being a fantastic day!
This was an interesting one - definitely a spot we'd not have stopped for if not for the cache! Still, quite a pretty little cove, definitely glad to have been shown to the area!
Upon passing the memorial and heading down to the beach, we pretty quickly zeroed in on the cache. Although we had little trouble opening the cache and extracting the log, we found it was quite wet and only just able to be signed - it might be worth replacing it at the next possible opportunity.
Thanks for showing us to such a lovely spot! We always appreciate it when a cache leads us somewhere we'd have otherwise missed.

Hello OldSaint thank you for the cache.
I had been here a few times while organizing Targa but this is the first time I have stopped and had a look at the scenery.

An easy find at GZ.

Found with my nephew Lew_300 on our first caching together adventure. Lewis was first to see it.
Tassie Trip Day 71 - Today we returned to our treck around the country to see what we could find around the channel island country with a start at gordon and continuing around to Hounville before returning to snug.
Wandering our way around we found ourselves arrive at yet another great place to see the sights and cache the cache was in good condition and we left our mark as that is the tradition.
Thanks OldSaint for showing us this wonderful place.

Out for a little drive around the area picking up a few caches that are new or we missed last time. TFTC
Nice tribute and lovely views. We would love to have stayed overnight but all blocked off by massive rocks. Tftc

We completed our GC calendar some time ago. As an extra challenge we set o goal of at least 5 caches each calendar day. With that achieved we raised the target to 7 and the bar is now set at 10. Today we needed to find three caches to achieve our goal for today.
We cached in Huonville after tea and we thought that we may still have just enough light to get to and look for this cache. We arrived in good time and the location of the hide was obvious from the car, although the tree was a native cherry and not a pine. We didn't even have to use our torch to locate the cache as the clouds had cleared and there was enough of the very late sun to show the way. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks OldSaint for the hide. The light had really deteriorated by the time we left but we still went on a little further to look for a trig point.

We were in the Channel area finding five new GCA caches and added this cache to our list. A lovely view. We enjoyed our trip around the bays. TFTC
Found with S38. I have driven past this point so many times, but never stopped to enjoy the view.
Thanks for taking me here, an easy find!

A quick find today, out with SouthernDes who was very excited when she made the find. Had four years of waiting for the high school bus just near here. TFTC
It was like OldSaint was with stainless-steel-rat and me all the way today, with a couple of phone calls, some text messages, an OldSaint cache and a late lunch catch up. It was really great!
As we came slip sliding down the road from King of the hill, we wondered who on earth Billy Bob was. The memorial gave us a pretty good indication. We had to wait for a bit to find out though. I wasn't getting out of the car in the pouring rain. SSR did for a short time, but was soon back in the car with me waiting it out. After a few minutes, it had almost stopped.
Previous finders had mentioned a typical OldSaint hide so we knew exactly what to look for so we had a quick find and were not disappointed, ok maybe a little. Had you run out of mint tins old mate?
This is a lovely spot and I have no doubt the views would be so much better on a clear day but we'll be back again sometime. Thanks for filling in a hole on the map and giving us a good reason to stop here. Cheers mate!
Oh, I found a picture of Billy Bob. It only came up when I put his full name in: Billy Joe Jim Bob

Having spent the day driving all over this area it was only as we got near to this cache that the rainfall started to get worse and as we parked up it was throwing it down, I was about to get out of the car but Goose had the idea to wait it out for a bit on the off chance it would stop, well a few minutes later we got out anyway, i'm not sure if it was lighter or not but we just got on with it.
A short walk to GZ and in a moment I spotted the cache and before long we were adding our names to the log.
A very nice cache with some excellent views, thank for placing this Old Saint and for your help today.

This is what we call ‘Classic Old Saint’, a well secured cache placed in an area with a most wonderful view – love them.
This Scenic Coast Road is one of our favourite drives and we have previously commented that there are so many great areas along here for caches. We have not placed any ourselves as we live too far away to do regular maintenance, but so pleased that you have put one here – thanks Old Saint.

Staying nearby so happy this was posted. Quickly found, there is nothing like a fresh log. Top spot TFTC.
Found easily enough. At first I thought I needed to disturb Billy Bob. Luckily I didn't.
**FTF** @ 11:05am. When this cache was published we were babysitting our grandchild and we figured by the time we got down to it, it would be too dark. Woke this morning and still no finders and because it was a pleasant day we decided to go for a beautiful drive towards this cache. Parked close and spotted Billy Bob's grave and then the possible GZ. A lovely area and a typical OldSaint hide.
Thanks for bringing us to this lovely area OldSaint.
