Completing this set. Stunning Coast Line Views. TFTC somewhere we wouldnt usually come.
A quick easy find, with the surf pounding nearby, after initially being distracted by a nearby power source. TFTC
Was staying a few kms south but came along here for a look and to tick this one off.
A camper was set up very near but this was well positioned to still be accessible! Thanks

Went to the end of the road and then pulled in to the parking spot on our way back. A short hunt and cache was found. Our detour meant that we saw the train going through as we left so took a short video of it for our grandson. tftc
Quick find of the cache, and then I stood slightly further down admiring the wild ocean. Just a bit later, a huge freight train crossed the flimsy over-bridge... TFTC!!
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located, now to the next one!*

Nice to be away on another geocaching trip with tmann421, travelling to a few places in the upper South Island.

#18098. A great location. Today the waves didn't look that big, but that hit the beach with a lot of force. I spotted a covering object and Troodles found the cache underneath. We decided this was a good spot for lunch, and I ventured on to the beach to have a closer look at the breaking waves. There were a lot of dark object bobbing around in the sea. Seals? TFTC.
Today is the last day of StreetWalkerNZ and my 3 day weekend trip to Kaikoura and the plan was to find as many of the remaining unfound caches in Kaikoura in the morning then start heading home to Christchurch, with a detour or two en route.
We parked in the wee "parking area" by the access and after finding the cache, had our lunch in the car. Swimming is not really an option here, unless you are a seal. TFTC.

Making good use of my week in Kaikoura, came for a drive this afternoon to score the caches that had been published along this road since I was last here. Found this one with no problems, then went down to the beach to enjoy the views. A dead flat calm today so almost no surf but it was very pleasant with mild temperatures and no wind. Signed log, TFTC.
Over to Kaikoura for the first time in a long time to spend the weekend walking the Kaikoura Coastal Track.
After dinner StreetGamer and I took a drive out to see what we could see - and find what I could find.
The surf was definitely up this evening but no wet feet were needed for a straightforward find here.
Thanks

The Seagnoid, Toby, Zara and I are off to Cheviot for the weekend leaving early Saturday. Well that was the plan. A new plan emerged with a day trip to Cheviot with Toby and Zara resting up in Blenheim. Lets Go exploring the Hurinui.
Surfs up today. Cache snagged and tagged. Cheers.

This month is Adrenaline Junkie weekend, given that I will not have much chance for caching thoughout the rest of September, Taybeedragon and myself are heading to the Hurunui. The plan was to bring Zara and make it an overnighter, but instead we just brought Toby for a day trip.
Came out to here for the cache, but was surprised to find the site of Claverly railway station, and it is kinda inspiring me to continue my series down to Christchurch.
Grabbed the cache and, because that's what this cache is about, checked out the waves. Yep, waves present, tick. Beach present, tick. Gravity switched on, tick. All good here. Obviously I'm not a surfer, else it wold have been rankings out of 10!

Nice easy find on a great day out and was a littler careful as I remember my father showing me katapo spiders on this beach. TFTH
I had parked my snail shell at Parnassus and decided to locate a few new caches since I was here just over 2 years ago.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Out for a caching drive with a brand new (8 yr old) cacher, Geraldine Girl.
The dogs had a lovely run around on the beach while we searched and searched.
Finally, the GPS decided to point us in the right direction and now the cache was easily spotted.
Amazed that this coastal stretch is a good lettuce growing area.

We had a brew up further down the road, watching a group of dolphins feeding about 100m off shore. Cool for he, ho hum for her (work)
Guess we will be back when Seqnoid places his rail cache sometime.
Thank a lot.

Day 2 of our North Canterbury/Marlborough caching excursion. Fourth stop after leaving our Parnassus camp site. Too windy to sit outside today so I just signed the log and moved on. Still following the Wombles of Woodend. TFTC Injeanious.
Quick find and we had our Lunch along here while watching the pounding Surf..TFTH
WAHOO {FTF} @0930.Yes, the clean sweep is mine, sweet. A nice quick find at GZ, the mountains and the sea are looking great today. Went for a wander along the beach to celebrate. Now for the quiet trip home via Waiau! Cheers.
Four possible FTF 160km away. Tossed up mid week night raid, but decided no. Friday night Ms KR said ".We can get up early to give it a go", and that's what we did, leaving 6:30 for these and other finds on the way home.
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.
