Hi Pipes_down_under,
This cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, only to discourage people from visiting this location until this cache may be addressed.
**Please note that caches disabled during the current COVID19 crisis you will be given some extra time to react as we recognise that CO's can't just pop out and fix the issue,** geocache maintenance can wait. Once the acute threat of pandemic is over, I will remind you about your cache needing attention.
Should you feel it safe for you to maintain and address this cache now, AND your regional Health and Governmental authorities allow it, please feel free to do so. However, I would like to assure you I will not be archiving any caches which the cache owner does not currently feel safe to maintain.
I'll pass by in about another 45 days and hopefully this will all be over.

OCW Calypso62 and JackScruff.
We tried to complete this one, but could not find the NFC tag.
After reading log and a PAF we came to the conclusion that the tag has gone.
This needs to be checked by the CO please.

No luck for Rama497, Jackscruff and me today in finding the tag. I see Rama497 has posted a NM log. Hopefully it will get sorted at some point and we can get back to claim a find. Cheers.
Out for a bit of caching in the Gong today and this was on the way home.
Had to resort to a PAF for WP1 as there was no tag to speak of no after scanning the area did my device pick anything. Was given a rough idea of GZ and made a quick find as the container was out in the open and on the ground. I replaced in a logical spot. Sorry to see this novel technology was not in play today.

Couldn't find tag or sticker, spent a lot of time at WP based on hint. Think it needs an update.
Forgot to log this one yesterday (16/03/20). After visiting way point one, I soon had the cache in hand, thanks to a helpful hint. I was surprised to see a 97' Celica parked near WP1, decided to leave a note saying how great the car was!

Luckily I knew what I was looking for, as any first timers might not be so sure. The sticker was pealing from the TP and may not last so long in this wet weather.
At GZ I knew I was in the right spot, but the cache proved to be fairly elusive. Dodging the spider webs, empty tinnies and toilet paper, I searched all around the feature. Eventually I went back to where I first looked and hunted a bit deeper with my torch. There I found the cache, TFTC.

Oh my goodness. Slow down! Ha!
Geodad and I loved this cache. Today our main aim was the nearby GC7G5RD A Walk in the Park but this cache probably proved to the highlight because of the novelty and cute hide. Only my second ever NFC cache. Thanks for the cache!

OCWF&F. Always fun caching in a group. It was a top caching day. Thank you to all the COs whose caches we found and adding to the enjoyment of this game. TFTC
Whilst cheuffering some friends around to do their caches, we stopped to do this unique cache. TFTC
Found the NFC tag but it didn't work with my phone today. Fortunately I had a previous finder with me who revealed where GZ was. Great hide. I'm sure none of the riders on their way to the Gong would stop here. TFTC Pipes_Down_Under.

I've failed twice at this one but this time it was almost too easy.
Some rare attributes on this pne and gz was very cool- how can that happen from that direction?!

After a delayed flight out of Brisbane this morning, Ghostgums and I finally made it to Sydney, teamed up with Kyzabra and headed down to the Gong. Apparantly, something was going on in Appin.
First cache on our Southbound run and I was a bit nervous, having had trouble with the previous NFC app on my phone. No problem today though, we all successfully got our respective apps to work and were soon on our way to GZ. [^]
Now, at just on 6' tall I was the shorter member of the group so got nominated to move in for a scout around. A couple of potential hiding spots were identified, but one had a tell tale sign and with that, the container was soon in hand. To conserve log space we chose to etch all logs for the weekend with the first initial of our usernames. I'll be honest though, this was the first and I cannot remember whether GGK is in the log, or our three full usernames. Either way, we had cache #1 ticked off and hit the road south.
Cheers Pipes_down_under.

Day 1 of the OzGeoMuster 2019 Mega weekend in Wollongong. Started the day by meeting up early with Gunnie69 at Brisbane Airport, and after some fog delays at Sydney airport, we touched down a bit later than anticipated. We managed to find Kyzabra quickly, who was waiting for us, and were off heading south along the Princes Highway. We noticed the adventure labs pop up and made a detour along the coastal road to grab this rare icons. It was still rainy along the way so it made some just a quick run and grab. After finishing the tour of the gong lab caches, quite nicely at Mt Keira, we headed for the mega site and participated in some of the other lab caches and some traditional caches in the near vicinity. Fortunately the weather improved into quite a pleasant afternoon of caching.
Signed the log book for ‘GGK’ for Ghostgums, Gunnie69 and Kyzabra, to help save logbook space on the very busy weekend.
Thanks Pipes_down_under for putting out the cache to make a great mega weekend!

I’m over in Sydney for work and managed to add a couple of days to hit the OZGM.
Teaming up today with Gunnie69 and Ghostgums, we made our way down from Sydney to Wollongong, collecting a number of solved puzzles and other caches on the way.
This was one of them.
Cool cache idea and a fav to start the day
Many thanks to Pipes_down_under for placing and maintaining Waterfall NFC. Apologies for the generic log. Log signed as GGK

We took a detour along here to locate this one quickly. This is only the second time we have used NFC to locate a cache. the other time was to get the code to open the container. A short walk led to a well concealed cache where we had to avoid the eyes of a muggle truck driver who had stopped in the pullover nearby.
Thanks for the hide Pipes_down_under.

C'mon - give us a break - this aint a 1.5/1.5! A bit of technology required, and then a bit of gymnastics to retrieve the cache! A nice one that we would have given an FP if it had been properly rated to at least a 2.0/2.0
Thanks Pipes_down_under

Found with pprass. If I had had my old GPS it would have been easy. As it was he used his phone app, and then from there we went to GZ, where the cache was found before too long.
Decided to detour off the highway to this interesting cache, found what I needed and was given the final coordinates, nice little spot for gz tftc
A brief phone call earlier in the day had my plans exchanged for an impromptu bushwalk along the Wodi Wodi track. After completing the walk, I made some negotiations to grab a few caches that were on the original itinerary for the day.
I have spent a bit of time learning about Near Field Communication - I think it's fascinating!
When I saw this NFC-related Mystery cache, I put it on my 'to-do' list for the next time I was in the area. Arriving at the Posted Coordinates, I knew what had to be done. Interesting that there are 2 tags here (psst, the second one is still re-writable). I learnt something new too ('Tasks' instead of 'Text' - a whole new world of possibilities).
GZ was also a really cool spot as well! The cache was easily located, signed and replaced.
This one ticks all my boxes - thanks for teaching me something more.
Favourite Point worthy!

Second time lucky! Thankfully Galeforced had downloaded a better tag reader this time. Great cache!!!
a first of this kind for me. was a little confused at first, weather we had the right discs, I had to revise the installed app... we really enjoyed this one. tftc

A raid on waterfall caches was today's mission and this was my second of the day. Had downloaded an appropriate app months ahead with the intention of doing this cache and soon had the required information. a short walk and put my CO cap on and had CIH first place i looked. TFTC my first time using NFC for caching (or anything)
Found on my way home from Coffs harbour after visiting my mum. Nice find but nearly missed the tag. Thankyou for the cache.
Found on my way back from picking a friend up from the airport thanks for the cache
Well, imagine my surprise when my brand spanking new iPhone had decent NFC capability! Our reader proceeded to ignore the TTS function and after some fiddling around with the final coordinates, we found the cache nice and dry. Signing duties followed and off we went, on the highway and heading south. Clever little mystery!

Prior to a nearby event I wandered over to this one.
Apples are clever tools and I soon stored the required info to take me on another short walk.
Interesting feature at GZ.

I didn't arrive early enough before the nearby event to try for this one. So after we completed the Waterfall to Heathcote walk, we returned to Waterfall for a late but very delicious lunch nearby. Took the opportunity to try my first NFC before heading off to find a few other caches. While we had been lucky with the weather during the walk, a light but steady drizzle had now set in. Thankfully I was able to keep dry while searching for the cache.

I was finally in the area and turned up at GZ with my Android. Whilst I have no idea what NFC is on my phone ,I knew I'd seen it in the settings. Never having had a use for it it was off. Quickly turning it on, it then wanted an app....huh??? Anyway Mr Hancock had the said app installed so not long after we had the info. required. Nice spot at GZ.
Arrived a little early for the event, thus, walked down for the neat nfc type hide. Sticker is peeling off the post and a bit of glue is required. Thanks for the puzzle, Pipes_down_under

I had originally intended to attend an event and then go on a long bush walk with other like minded cachers. But then life gets in the way, and I strain a few bits of me a couple of days before... and the weather looks dodgy.
So decided I'd attend the event and then grab a few other caches in the area before heading off towards "Real Life".
Got six and felt the strain on a short bush bash nearby. Methinks I made the right decision. Will have to get that long multi later, though.

Wasn’t sure how I’d go on this as I cache with an Apple phone.
But the new ones have NFC and I’d downloaded two reader apps for it.
Well only one way to find out.
Got to the published coordinates and fired up one of the readers. Ok it gives me some info but no coordinates. Well at least it’s reading part of the tag.
Switched to the other app... ooh, I have coordinates for GZ. Huzzah!
Made my way there and sized up GZ. Took a minute to spot it but my instincts were right.
Completed signing duties and replaced.
Then on my way.
Good to know the iPhone8 can do these - or at least this one.

On my way from Sydney back to Canberra, I decided to take the scenic route rather than just driving down the Hume Highway. And, of course, pick up a few caches.
I picked this cache because I had yet to get a find with the "wireless beacon" attribute. The NFC tag worked well, so I moved on to GZ where I searched around for a while before I spotted the cache.

Coming home from the City this morning and I finally had the time to search for this one. I was looking for something much less flimsy at WP1, as others have noted it is a little worse for wear. When I realised what it was, my phone did the rest. I did, however, need to listen a few times to get things correct.
On to GZ where I searched for way too long, having read too much into the clue. Eventually made the find in the obvious spot.
Favourite point for the unique style.
Cheers

Darn. No luck with this one.
The NFC point was prompting my phone to update its software which I couldn't manage.
I'll return for this one.
Note for CO - about 50% the tag surface area has worked loose (perhaps in recent rains) the remainder is looking fairly secure for now at least.

We were in the area having just been out to the National Park when a light bulb moment struck me. The mini rat had a compatible phone to make this cache all the more easier.
We were soon parked across the road and adding our name to the log.

Last phone upgrade was conditional on it having NFC so I could do a particular cache. Nice I’ve had the opportunity to use the function again although I was prompted to download another app onsite for it to speak and repeat the co-ords a few times to confirm numbers. Quick find at GZ (listed TB not enclosed) but NFC tag at WP1 is starting to “fray” a little. Maybe weathering, maybe unnecessary human contact??
I saw this cache pop up back in August but alas I had no way of reading an NFC tag. Finally I was able to obtain the details by electronic means.
So being south-bound today a short diversion from track lead me to the first WP. From there it was off to find the cache using my GPSr. A clever little place for a hide. Visited two TB's. TFTC Pipes_down_under and a FP.

Well, after a lot of technical issues it turned out not to be that hard. It is just a matter of getting the right app to run on the right device, once that is done and you get to gz it is all caching again.

Bit of an epic with this one! Stopped this morning but being an Apple rather than Sony man couldn't get the wife's tablet with NFC capability working. So during the day worked out the settings I needed and on the way back home today stopped in again. Install an app and eventually some co-ords presented themselves. A fairly quick find at a bit of a dusty GZ! Something different for sure- I like it! TFTC!
TFTC,
Heading home after a day out with the Riley Car Club, I swapped my phone for one that was able to do the necessary transposition.
Went through the process just in case the cache was located at a different spot and went to GZ where I changed the date I previously showed.
Visited a group of trackables.

I will admit I did attempt the FTF on this one with an iPhone, and after several NFC downloads, and knowing how much the CO hates Apple I knew I needed an adapter... so off to JB hifi... no good... oh hang on JayCar may have something.... popped in today and what do you know, an NFC reader.... I now have a new TOTT for my geo bag. Cheers PDU... I loved this one. found it solo as per description. Favorite point from me buddy..

My second [FTF] for the day @ 9:15am!
A late night publication meant I had some chance to grab this one before any of the other hounds who visit this area get there in the dark of night using brute strength! After grabbing the other new one at Como, I had enough time to drive here, and as I had the necessary app on my phone it was an easy retrieval of the info needed to find GZ. Once there, I looked around at different hidey holes before checking the hint again, and then knew exactly where it could be. Opened up to find a blank log and a familiar looking wooden FTF coin! Thanks PDU. In my haste to get away for the weekend, I left the coin nearby, so if it's back in the cache then whoever gets there next can have it! TFTC PDU, and a chance to use the NFC feature. Great idea!

Didn't read that you were not allowed to have a joint find for this cache when I first looked at it.
It was pointed out to me after we were leaving.
I will return some day when I update my phone and change my log then.
For now dropping trackables.

2TF Saw this one come up this morning, downloaded the app and went for a drive. Arrived at GZ got the information that was requied and then off to the new GZ, the FTFer made it easy to find leaving behind their foot prints, even left the FTF disc in sight, must have been in a hurry. Signed the log and replaced, exchanged trackables. Thanks to Pipes_down_under.
