Dear Diary, Today I drove from Quorn, South Australia so I could hang a bra from a tree near Paringi, New South Wales. Is this normal, even for a geocacher? All is good at GZ. SL TN L a toy monkey.

On our way to the mega and went via SA just so we could finish off the OYB series, We did these with TT and marked our territory with a stamp that said Team Tassie, most of the caches we found in good order and those couple that weren't we fixed up as best we could with what we had to hand.
All found now well till some more come out anyway!

Another year, another Victorian Mega, so where do we fly into, Adelaide like you do, after a few days in the city we ventured out into the wilds of SA before heading Northeast towards the border (You remember the name of the town, don't you?) before crossing over we teamed up with Tassie Trekkers and we all finished off the OYB series.
Our attempts at a few caches as we moved South that were near rivers were as half expected we were thwarted by floods so we didn't get to those but added the odd on in here and there.

At long last we arrived in Whittlesea for the Mega late in the evening of Friday 11th and after a quick event headed to our accommodation for the next few days. While in the area we explored the area finding caches all over the place and we even got to meet up with our Victorian ex Tassie cacher 1Toolman who traveled up from down South to join us for the day

Thanks for the cache.

Found on 18/11/2022 at 10:02:00 AM thanks to for placing this cache for me to find.

A new day, back into NSW for a bit on the final day of our drive from Adelaide to the mega.
The poor tree must have been holding too many boulders and gave up under the strain. That adds to the whole effect in my opinion.
Thanks for the laugh TheKellyGang

It’s become a tradition to fly to a Mega via somewhere else so Stainless steel rat, budgietas and I flew from Hobart to Adelaide a week before the big event and, after a few days around the city, worked our way up along the Murray (where we could due to flooding) via Waikerie, Mildura, Swan Reach and Echuca before heading down through Shepparton to Whittlesea where we caught up, and cached with, a few other teams including Tassie Trekkers, Whitewebbs, 1toolman and icybeetas.

18-Nov-22
Found this cache while out caching with Goosenegg and stainless steel rat.
Today was a drive from Mildura to the Mega site in Whittlesea

Thank you for the cache.

All caches stamped with "Team Tassie"

November 2022 was planned as a trip to the Mega in Melbourne, so we flew from Hobart to Adelaide to find quite a few caches that we had missed last time. Some great caches were found, but the planned boat trip was canceled due to the weather. No matter the showers we found quite a few caches on the trip (Around 600) including a number with high Terrian values.

The drive-through down the Murray river on the NSW / Victoria border showed the impacts of the current floods. A number of caches planned were canceled due to the flooding. Unfortunately, many of these caches will have been lost to the flood. The Mega, as per the whole week, was on and off a wet time, even so a number of caches were still found with Goosenegg, Stainless Steel Rat, Whitewebbs and Tassie Trekkers

Lockdowns, lock outs etc had stopped as from getting to Millicent a few times and also On Ya Bike Series. Finally things fell into place and B@W, Crash, PPE and Tardis 0061 (later to sing as BCPT for our initials or Big Cycling Power Trail amongst other things)were on a week long road trip into SA. Various select caches and locations were targeted on the way over and back for LGA's and other stats.
What happens on tour stays on tour
A quick find here and we completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

A lovely sunny day so BettyBoo3747, the geodoggies and I traveled from Lake Boga to Renmark to start our holiday. Collected a few caches on the way when the mood took us, and a couple of AdLabs.
With all the new armco railing is not such a quick stop here anymore.
The tree is looking a bit sad too.
Good sized cache though.
Thanks, Robmc.

#19701. Day 2 of our holiday travelling between Lake Boga and Renmark. Gathered up 16 caches and 2 AdLabs along the journey. A lovely sunny day that got warmer every hour.

The poor old tree and the decorations are looking decidedly worse for wear and worn out. A bit sad these days. The new roadside railing meant quite a walk back to GZ. A quick find and I picked up the 3 trackables to move them along.

Thanks TheKellyGang

Wandered off with Purrfect Di [:X] , and met up with the Froghoppin duo [^] [^] and a whole bunch of other crazy cachers around the place too. Saw some sights, cached three states, and ate a whole lot of pub and cafe meals! Found far fewer mint tins than usual - gold star to Vic and NSW for that one!!! Wink

Happy Geocaching Day weekend! Big Grin

When your boulders are older their holder is further down from the shoulder... Razz

No boulders were harmed in the finding of the cache (in fact all the boulders in our party stayed in their nice warm car!!!)

Much thanks to SA's TheKellyGang for locating and maintaining this cache on our NSW geo-map and encouraging the sport of bouldering WinkRazzCool

Wandering the countryside - searching, spotting strange items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guyess or plain old dumb luck WinkCoolBig Grin
Heaps of that luck stuff actually !!!

*All the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*

---
Caution! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for germs and bugs !!! . [xx(]

Make Travel Bugs the Only bugs you share and pass on Wink
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside Big Grin

Truly fantastic of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting Cool

Appreciate you reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Wink Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!

Out celebrating International geocaching day finding a cache or two, after attending four events we decided a few caches by torchlight before heading back to our accomadation with Mattycat and Perfect Di would round out the evening, this was one of them, found a few trackables here but were heading the wrong way so just visited them, cache location was as we suspected a tree adorned with features, cache was found all in good condition

Hahaha. Omg when I saw the name I just gad to swing by and grab it! Why do these seem to happen along outback roads?? Whatever the reason. I found it. All is good here

Dropped 3 travel bugs off they have come from SA we have put them in a bag they can be seperated don’t send them back to SA at the moment let then travel Victoria NSW and any where

20-Aug-22
Found on the return from the International Geocaching Day Dinner event. Wasn't expecting a guard rail besides the bra tree. Walked back the 137 meters and made a quick find. Left the trackables the co dropped. I figured they wanted the trackables to move out of SA.

The JAMS crew ( all 5 of us this trip JJ52,Allister w, Mogni, Michells&hound plus Sir_Spectre ) where headed to the 3 Community Celebration events in 3 states in one day plus a side trip down Euston
( it's only 55 km from our B&B one way ) for another geocaching event then a brief sleep. Then another geocaching event before Michells&hound hosted a CITO event in NSW. Of course there was time for finding of finding caches over 60 in the first day. Thanking those co for placing them and extra, extra thanks for the co for placing the gadget/field puzzle/creative caches. I left some fav points to let you know to keep up the good work. The way home was longer than getting there since we stopped and solved/stamped some multi's and off set letter box hides. Another good weekend away for us.

20-Aug-22
Big day today out with Jams crew attempting the tri state event challenge. Challenge accepted.
Early 5am start and pick up at 5.45am and then a big drive to Berri. One cache in Kingston and a loo stop before the first event in Berri. A welcome spot for a coffee by the river.
Onwards to Wentworth and our second state for the day and another lovely location by the river. Afternoon caching around Wentworth, sand dunes, Merbein for adventure labs. Great new series by the oxbow lake.
Then it was time for the fabulous 3rd state celebration event in Victoria. Followed by an adventure doing a night cache.
Finally to euston back in NSW for an event, a beer and 3 caches and to our accommodation at Gol Gol arriving at 10. Yes it was a big day out! Huge day lots of fun, lots of events, lots of caches and adventure labs. 20000 steps for the day, yahoo! Much thanks to all the COs and event holders.

On a road trip with The Welder and like previous adventures, we never know what we will find! This weekend we are targeting LGAs and UBD map pages along the Murray. Victorian side, but while we are nearby we thought we would pick up two NSW LGAs, this being the second.
Now I have heard of a thing tree, but a bra tree is something else! We didn’t get to the area til nearly 9pm, so if it wasn’t for needing a Wentworth cache, we would have driven past known the wiser! Thanks for the laughs, it was an easy find.

Invited to Join Brisal5 on a trip to Wangaratta the offer was gratefully accepted. Planning to meet another couple at pre arranged accommodation, The Adder and Starfish spent the first day traveling to Victoria staying overnight in Kerang before heading to our week long lodgings. A number of quick drive by finds were made on the way including a few previous DNF's of Brisal5.

All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.

THE LATE TO THE WANGARAATA MEGA TOUR. [:o)]
We were booked for November 21. [^] Didn't Happen. Twisted
Booking transferred to February 22. Razz covid Twisted
Booking transferred to May 2022. Cool Yah - made it albeit a tad late. Cool

DAY 1: From Home to Kerang: Razz
I picked up Blackadders to head to Wang. Decided I wanted to get caches in three States so hit the Sturt Highway up through Mildura and over the border into NSW for a few and then back into Victoria via Robinvale to get some more. Wowser, a lot of new caches since I last went this way in 2017.Surprised Time running short we had to make a dash from Book Book and bypass so many caches to get to our overnight digs. Twisted But here is what we found on the way. Big Grin

Mmmm. No parking bay and no break in the Armco. Just have to park over here and play frogger with the semi's. Surprised Oh so that is how the cache got its name. Big Grin Bit of money just left hanging around. Found the cache at a lower altitude than expected. Smile

Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. Twisted So once again I will trying to get the other two this year. [^] Should be easy as I only have to get two multi caches in July from the lockdown and couldn't get out. [:o)] The other was DNF's that came down from over 50 to the low teens before blowing out again but I really want to see only single a single digit this year. Cool

***Thanks TheKellyGang for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

Found during a road trip via Wentworth, Menindie Lakes, Wilcannia, Cobar, Bourke and Cunnamulla to Charleville and back over 10 days, camping out at some great spots along the way. Met up with e.gregory1 at Bourke and we spent the next four days caching around Cunnamulla and out to Eulo, Yowah and Charleville, before e.gregory headed up to Townsville and I made my way southwards towards home. I camped out near Balranald last night and spent the day caching from Balranald to Wentworth, then finding a great campsite on the Murray at Merbein Common. Thanks for the cache TheKellyGang!

#13070 - 11:44:00 AM; Day 5 of the Wang Mega tour with Sol de lune. Finished off "The Turtle Series" this morning and collected this cache as we started our journey east for Narranderra, where we plan to spend our last night away. The caches we found today were mostly in good order and now have Sdl and L.L10n or vice versa in the logs as evidence of our visit. An appropriately themed and good sized cache was located here. I wonder if Dolly Parton was a donor? TFTC TheKellyGang Smile

A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA. With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
Our team “The Mob” consisted of GoodLook, LíB, Rapidlywild, The Drovers, feathertop and ourselves. This team ended up being very productive and some new friendships were made. Always a bonus in my book. All logs were stamped with “The Mob” to save space and time.
After completing all the trails, we had set out to do and a couple more for good measure it was time for this mob to go its separate ways.

On our journey from Mildura to Wagga slowly making our way home we picked up a few caches along the way to break up our journey.

Quick find at this one, signed and replaced as found.

Thanks for the hide TheKellyGang and for the fun Rapidlywild

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.

We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.

Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.

With the Turtle done, the PS Series done, the On Ya Bike done, the TdU & TdF done as well as the Riddlers done, our targeted caches has been accomplished. With the teams now split and it was back to FurfacesLL and myself, we had heaps to choose from. The drive from Mildura to Wagga today, so long drive with not many caches, but we got what we could. Once in Wagga, we met up with The Drovers and did a spot of caching before dinner and retreating for the night.

Had to dash across the road and jump the new guard for this one, however cache was quickly located, signed and replaced as found.

Thanks for the hides TheKellyGang Big Grin And thanks FurfacesLL for a trip to remember [^].

On a road trip to South Australia now the border is open with Kittykatch, and barb2e calling ourselves at day Border Busters or BB. Eleventh day of our trip and loving the beautiful green fields and cool day. Awesome day to be out.
