I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.

23-Jul-24
Hi TuitiggerThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler

This was a lovely walk on a cold day but at least I dodged the showers. I spent quite a bit of time looking but couldnt find. Was half way there before I realised it hadnt been found for ages. The art is fantastic. Well done Edendale school, a great initiative

Thought we'd try our luck today seeing as we were in the area. No deal! CO please check/maintain..such a lovely spot here

07-May-23
Carpark has obviously had maintenance since the cache was placed as there was no sign of mud. Track was in a mud free condition. GZ was a big rimu that I had a good search around. Widened my search, exploring both sides of the track with no luck. I was impressed by the number of young kahikatea. Read previous logs to discover that the cache has been walkabout and bought back to were the logger thought it should be. Not were I could see it though.

Not found today,although found previously

23-Jan-22
Found this cache approx 80m away from hidey hole, confirmed by 2 devices, very exposed lying on the side of the track. Unsure how it got there, but walked to where co-ords led and replaced in an obvious spot. TFTC

14-Dec-21
I have gone a bit further afield from Gore today.

I found this one on the other side of the track to where my GPS was pointing.

Cheers for the cache.

With the Event on in Invercargill on Sunday why not make a weekend of it...3 days of caching down South woop woop time to head home...with a few stops along the way of course!
Was met by Peteslookin in Edendale as he went for a "Sunday Drive" on his motorcycle...what a long way to come haha but a very nice surprise!
We finally found the cache after a "long" walk (but luckily a very dry track) nicely spotted by Peteslookin while I was searching in the wrong place of course a much shorter return to the parking picnic area where we enjoyed a cup of tea and sandwiches while relaxing in the glorious sunshine what a fun way to end the afternoon on my geocaching adventure down South TFTC

Spontaneously checked for caches in the area while walking through the reserve after a picnic lunch. Also had very misleading signal at GZ but found after looking in likely spots we could see from the track. Didn’t have a pen but etched in logbook with a twig. Logbook is damp but still usable. TCTC in a beautiful spot! Found with astroboy.

Loved my walk here. I just love my tree time. And got the cache tagged along the way. Cheers Fav from me..

Friday 6 November. We are off exploring Waituna Lagoon and Seawards Downs today. Its a beautiful sunny day today.

Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

TFTC. Found with master 8 and gdad.

Our GPS struggled in here kept jumping from 4m away to 14km away but a bit of common sense helped find it

13-Jul-20
Cache 106 lovely walk shame I had to speed through it on a lunch break, never been in here before and got a little lost looking for the shortest route, got to GZ coordinates are about 10m off but I used logic and decided to search the closest most likely spot, sadly the cache was out in the open with the lid off, the contents were still there and the log was still dry PHEW, so SL added rock bug put the lid on tight and placed in the most obvious hiding point closest to where I found it ️ T4TC

Found on the last day of caching before lock down. Went over to Wyndham to grab a few previously unfound caches and had a little spare time on the way home to make it one more before travel restrictions mean staying home or walking or biking.

HORAY, Deane's holiday has started and now its time to find some caches!!!! Found this afternoon after finishing work on a fine but cold day. Charged out here with the geopup and we enjoyed our walk around this beautiful and peaceful spot. The track was in really good condition and we soon had the cache in hand using WEKA's co-ords too. TFTC TT, a really good spot for a hide. [^]

10-May-19
After the working week was done we decided to try and track this one down.
So as we knew daylight was going to be short we where armed with our own.
After a few minutes in fading light we spotted the hide.
Good thing we had portable daylight or this would have taken a lot longer.
Signed log and returned.
Now with head torch on I heard which way to the car ????
Doh!!!!
Soon back to car and from the back seat.... I'm hungry (aka Abbykitt) piped up...what's for tea???
I think fish and chips are on the menu tonight.

Thanks for the hide tuitigger
Nice walk.

What a great idea. Let's go for a walk to get a cache.. just...on .. sunset...
Ooooh goody, and it's in a reserve.
That's gonna be fun.!!!
Sigh.
Just as well someone has all the correct tools for this sort of malarky.
Parked in the designated area, and off we set.... nothing was going to stop us.
Using Wekas coords, soon has us ferreting in the general vicinity and soon the shout went up.
Tftc.

After a long week. We set off to find a cache tonight.
Off we set. We got to the parking. Started walking towards the cache. Got to the location of the cache. My geocaching senses worked well today!. Signed log and put back. Found with Annielin and Downsouthinv.

This is one of our 'locals' for a bush walk so we nipped down for a walk before heading off for the races. Easily tracked down, TFTC

27-Aug-18
Not sure which tree it might be hiding behind or in but didn’t seem obvious to me . Guess having 1700 caches with smilies doesn’t make them all easy to find
Lucky I am trying to get some steps in everyday and hadn’t been out here before - one other walker and a fantail for company today

Very impressive patch of bush. The track and the cache were both on my gpsr map, so it was interesting watching our progress around to the cache. The listed coords took us to a big tree, with no obvious cache, but fortunately we had also loaded the coords suggested by Weka on another unit and that led us directly to the right spot and a very quick find. Good cache on a nice track on a lovely day, great.TFTC

Found on a caching journey into Southland today with Bitsprayer today. All caches found in good condition. Really enjoyed the challenge and the many hours spent on the puzzles caches to unravel the coordinates. Also great to travel along the many roads in the area. Many thanks to the various cache owners for placing and maintaining their caches. The first decision was which way to GZ andthe second where is it. Had no success at the obvious feature so extended the search and after a while the call went up. Cache found about 8 to 10 m from our GZ. Cache all good. TFTC

Nice bush track. Kids almost run all the loop. Found the container lid open and visible but dry and all the stuff ok. TFTC.

29-Dec-17
On the road before 8 this morning to see how close I can get to my goal of 2000 by the end of the year.
Took the bush walk, and ended up doing the whole loop - that's often the case - it's either as far away as it can be or on the loop back. Had a quick look at the posted coords, then headed for the coords suggested by W.E.K.A - my device liked those coords better.
Now I know where free local guiding people are talking about when they mention having a camp at Edendale. If there is ever a training here I'll be asking CO for permission to use this cache for introducing our leaders to caching as finding a cache or more is in the current programme for most sections.
Thanks for the smilie.

After a pleasant walk through the reserve, it took us a while to find the cache, on the opposite side of the track from where our GPS had us. Our coordinates were S46 19.274 E168 43.848. TFTC

Have been here before for the archived caches. There were a few listings, some being truly missing and the [Long Loop](https://coord.info/GC2QA3C) cache at the bridge where I found the dirty intact 200ml sistema sitting on the ground. It had been cleaned up and returned to hide with a new logbook. Once my [log](https://coord.info/GLP9PD97) was deleted, it was removed for spare parts to replace another cache elsewhere. Not sure which one, I've replaced a few active caches in the district.

Didn't attempt parking in the picnic area. Started walking the popular tracks with a few runners and their dogs lapping us. The new cache was an easy find at the co'ods in a noice dry hide. SL, threw in some swag and sealed back together with the white PVC baggy in stock. Continued on the walk to the bridge and took the shortcut maintenance track back to the road. Council muggles were blocking the gateway, not to repair the sodden bombsite mess in the driveway, no - just using the 'office'. Hopped in the car and away back to town. Thanks for leading us here back for a new cache.

Seen the alert come in before tea but thought we would leave it. Granville86a came over to share tea with us and during a discussion we mentioned that the alert had come through, we decided we would see how we felt after... but who can resist a FTF... lol, so a message was sent through to Searchwisely to see if she wanted to join in the FTF hunt, yes a full car headed out to go for a night walk in the dark bush and hunt the container down. After some time spent hunting and second guessing the locations on different devices and GPS Glenn spotted it and the log was signed and cache was replaced. Thanks for another great Cache Tuitigger. Looking forward to more of your caches :O) -TB

Yay!! Joint FTF with Searchwisely and the Chosens. Got the new notification and assembled the team and headed out. An interesting walk into the reserve in the dark. Got to GZ and then the search began. GPS signal bouncing around under the canopy so. It took a bit longer than it should have. Widened the search and finally managed to locate the container. Logbook signed by everybody and container returned to its hide. Thanks tuitigger for hide.

12-Aug-17
I got a message from Granville asking if I'd be keen to go for a joint FTF on this new cache with Mr and Mrs Chosen, so off we went in search for it. Reasonably mild evening, wandered around at GZ for a while with no success, then finally Granville came up trumps. TFTC
