After spending a couple of weeks in Canberra attending the Mega Event it was time to head back to Brisbane. We have a few weeks to travel so we are meandering up through country NSW. We are finding the odd cache here and there were we have room to pull over with the caravan. This was an easy find while passing by. TFTC
Reperio 17:14Headed over to Newcastle for a few days of caching with Master Vitruvius, and we were able to stop by and pick up a few of them along the way. I enjoy driving this way back to Newy, and made this one a short stop to find the cache. Gratias squirrels0291As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
On road trip to Victoria to attend the Rutherglen mega and taking our time to get there with both coastal and regional places to visit and cache in. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining caches for us to find.
It is much nicer in the car than out in the wind but apart from a couple of cars passing, this one did not take too long. TFTC
Out for a drive and thought we would pick up a few caches. Appreciate the good parking and the cache.

Weekend trip to Rylstone June 2021. I joined with Fitzy_1965 & MinnieK for a drive to Rylstone and the surrounding area for a long weekend of caching with a Community Celebration event as the final goal on Saturday. We also did some caching around Oberon on the way and a day on a loop via Mudgee & Gulgong to visit some older caches. On the way home we stopped in at Newens as well. A cold but fun weekend away.
Whilst the others slept in and packed up their tent, I headed out into the fog to get a few caches they had already done. Three quick roadside stops.

Picturesque tree here that makes great cover by acting to photograph it when muggles drive past. Great view behind it too. We started on one side of the road then crossed then back again and there it was. Thank you.

#7177 Day 7 of our "Dayboro Plan B" trip. mtrax & myself, having decided to ditch the mega came up with a last minute re-route using some of the accommodation we'd already booked and find some interesting caches. To this end we were very selective and only chose caches with sufficient FPs along the route. Today we are in leaving Tamworth and heading down to Bathurst for the night. Not a lot of time for caching today. Weather is warm but good. Looking forward to Burning Mountain on the way.
Thanks squirrels0291

While picking up this cache a local waved, geocaching must be a thing around here. Rylstone is such a nice town and the region is so pretty, Tftc
19,303. Found during a weekend caching meander with minniek and GLISS!, and an awesome time was had.
After packing up camp we headed back to where we got to yesterday to continue through our list of must do caches. This was the next one. A nice quick park and find. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks squirrels0291 !!

We're on the road to Mudgee today for a weekend caching and to attend a Ceilidh in the Country. We left Newcastle in pouring rain with our fingers crossed, luckily the rain had dissipated apart from a few spits by the time we'd passed Singleton, so it turned into a beaut day caching, with 14 finds, 1 trig and 2 DNFs....
A quick park and grab as we turned the last corner on the way to Mudgee. TFTC

Together with my son I embarked on a six day road trip from Sydney via Bathurst, Parkes and Dubbo to Bourke and back to Sydney via Mudgee. In total we clocked over 1,700 kilometers and along the way we stopped almost 90 times for grabbing a roadside cache.
The final day of our road trip, driving back from Mudgee to Sydney through some beautiful scenic parts of the state. We enjoyed our trip via Lue Road and stopped for the many caches along the way as it was a great opportunity to stretch our legs.
We are slowly making our way to Rylstone, but first another cache with a suitable name.
Thanks for the cache squirrels0291!

We found this cache on our way through from Mudgee to Dunns Swamp. It was easy enough to find with the GPSwhicch steered us to the right side of the road. Signing ceremony happened and all was then returned to its hiding place before we continued on our way. Thank you to squirrels0291 for giving us a reason to take a short break in our journey here and for the smiley we have added to our map by finding this cache.
Heading home from Dunn's Swamp and picked up a few caches along the way.
There's a lot of traffic on this road.

As we ventured north we stopped to find caches, stopping where we found suitable with a caravan in tow. We had a few of the RLT series to complete & a few caches in the small towns we passed through.
Thanks for placing this cache squirrels0291

We have spent a couple of days at one of my favourite locations Dunns Swamp and today with the extreme temperature we decided to do our last cache there early in the morning have a swim and then head off to the comfort that 240v and an airconditioner can provide when you are in a caravan. This was one of the caches we targetted and found as we headed to Mudgee. Thanks to squirrels0291 for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
After a couple of pleasant nights at the Old Bara camp site, we had to pack and leave to get back to Sydney. We decided to take another Less Travelled Road - but not within the series.
Not a chance we were "blind" when looking for this one;-)

30/9/17. 2:58 PM. Cache #5331.
18th of 23 finds (& 1 DNF) today.
Day 1 of the long weekend and I came up to plunder caches in the Mid West Regional council. First leg of the day, coming up from Sydney, I cleared as much as I could from this corner - Running Stream, Ilford, Cudgegong, Aarons Pass, Clandulla, Kandos, Rylstone, Dabee and Carwell.
After clearing caches around Rylstone, and then a detour south to get "Carwell historic 1840s cemetery", I resumed my trip back north up Bylong Valley Way and in fact that was the name of this next cache. I thought a fairly easy find. Up further to "Stones" next. TFTC.
