Out caching with destinyruler and the geo daughters, pulled up and after a small search had cache in hand. TFTC!
*Found on the 21 Jun 2020 @ 10:14 am.*
*Cache find # 10955.*
Today I headed back to this area for the 2nd weekend in a row to find a few more caches that I didn't get to last week.
I was driving passed this one on the way to some others so I made the stop, the cache was found quickly but the log is very wet, I was sill able to sign my name on it though.
**Thanks to deshut for placing this cache.**

Please note log is wet a quick easy find on our Saturday tour of Stig! Leeches second find of the day
I pulled everything out of the container and tried to dry everything best I could
Lovely little find pot was not water tight so paper was wet, unable to write our names on it. Hint. Pale blue.
This is our 700th find, so a bit of a celebration dance was going on till we heard a few muggles, so we swiftly ceased our dancing around, which would have seemed very odd given where we were
A day off work today so I'm getting out around this area caching. A nice little cache, I was just hoping that's all there was. TFTC
This caching day started off in a fine way, but the weather changed as time went by and the last few we ended up finding in the rain with ilook4geo.
Read the hint for this one, looked in the right direction and saw something that looked a bit out of place, so the container was found very quickly. Two more names were written on the log, all was put back into place and we were headed home as the rain looked really set in. Thank you to deshut for this cache placement.

Found this cache after coming along with goingplaces2 for a morning's treasure hunt. We found what we wanted, signed each log and then replaced each one where it belonged. It was a good hunt for the day. TFTC.
Thanks this was fun kids liked it took us a while but got it. Placed back in same spot took a few things added a few things.
Staying at Geelong we planned to find caches in and around the Steiglitz area and this was one of them.
An easy find at GZ, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Today was a big day. Started with clean up Australia Day, went swimming and exploring beach caves, kayaked along the Moorabool river and spent the afternoon with a friend. With an hour of daylight left I sped to Steiglitz for a WP and grabbed this on the way. My dog and I are both exhausted but was worth it for the sunset in the bush. Tftc
With the promise of favourable weather and a gathering of geo friends, at the "Tenth Birthday Event in Ballan" a route was mapped out marked by caches jointly unfound by us and our caching buddy Alansee.
Our first stop Ah-ha Nana's too!
Thanks to 'deshut' for placing this cache on the geo-gameboard.

The first cache for Phetlern and I as we made our way to the Event today. An easy find thanks deshut.
Found with FUF009.
We camped at Bunjil lookout last night and cached around the area up towards Steiglitz before heading into Geelong and then out to Lara.
It was hot today but nicer in the bush areas.

Find # 7472
Found with sharkiefan.
After staying at Bunjil Lookout, our plans were to cache the area and then head up around Steiglitz before heading into Lara for Geelong's 2018 Annual Christmas Dinner event.
I always love caching in the bush, every area is so different and there always great sized caches to find.
Looked like a nice camp site near the start of this road but sadly its not allowed, its just a picnic spot.
Thankfully the micro in the bush was a little bigger than I was expexting, thusmakung it a quick find.

A 6am wake up on a Sunday morning is not my ideal time, but it was a glorious day and I needed to prepare for a 7am pickup from Dave in the super xv. We were headed for G-Town and a T5 Paddle CITO event, followed by some quality caching locations nearby.
We came here on a mission as part of a 5/5 multi and stayed for the afternoon, what an amazing place, we never would have visited. Some fantastic caches placed in sometimes very tricky locations.
This was the easier part of the walk, completing the loop back to the car. a nice simple find here.
Many thanks to deshut for the cache. TNLN.

It may have been Nana's first, but it was our 1600th.
Thanks deshut for the hide.
Oh yeah....if anyone needs four old tyres there's some here.
Dirty dumping buggers. Respect our bush!

Thanks deshut, spent this sunny winters day bush walking in the area with Crackers, this was our last for the day while making our way back to the car.
Sailed past here on the pushbike as made my way down to the river for a hike.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Wandering towards the events in Ballarat today my path led down this road to see what Nana had provided. This was an easy straightforward cache. Thanks deshut
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

A day of celebration had me heading out west to look for a FTF, and some geo-gold.
I hadn't been out in the Brisbane Ranges for a few months and really enjoyed this outing.,
Well done to Nana on her first.
Thanks, deshut.

Showing a newbie the ropes of caching on my RDO on this fine summers day we made this driveby our last find as we left this impressive area.
Thanks deshut for the placement here for us to enjoy.

With the last day of year here, I was keen to get up early to see the last sunrise of the year. I woke a lot earlier than expected so i decided to come out for a morning hike while the rest of the geo family was in bed. I had wanted to come out here again to explore some more so I packed my things and took off. The sunrise was amazing. AFter a hike for another cache I made my way back to the car and drove to this once for another cache, the last for the year. A quick find. Stamped and returned as found.

Thanks Nana and Des for bringing us into the reserve. Love the grass trees here!
Out orchid hunting (and geocaching) with chakram and legocacher. a nice quick easy find. TFTC
Found with Chakram and Outrangerous while looking for orchids. Thanks for placing a cache here on this great spot.
A quick grab on the drive out this way. Interesting that Nana headed straight to micro's, but fortunately it wasn't a bison in a tree! TFTC
I started out over thinking this one too much, looked past the easier places to go for more tricky options, should’ve stuck to the obvious great first hide nana! TFTC
Found 1:39:00 PM, during our November Caching day out with Muzza
TNLN, thanks deshut (F=715 H=124).

I was out and about with Biggles Bear for our monthly caching adventure, this time to the Brisbane ranges and surrounds. Nice and quick find.

Decided its way to nice a day to stay home. So i headed out to check on my caches. Thought while im out here i will try finding some caches. This was the first one to find. Great location. Tftc.
Thought this would be a quick find, especially given the explicit hint. Not to be. It took quite a while to locate this well hidden little cache. TFTC
I decided to take a drive down to Steiglitz and see what had attracted a number of cachers to place and maintain caches in this area for over a decade in some cases. The park didn't disappoint and after finding a few caches on Butchers Road and Cinnamon Fungus Transfer as well as the Clued series I headed into the historic precinct proper.
After finding a couple of caches there I thought this would be an easy find contributing to a goal of 25 for the day. So it proved which was a good thing as it was late in the afternoon and I knew I'd be losing light shortly.
Cache was found in good condition.

Run past here a few times but never stopped. I did find what i was thinking was the cache but was a syringe container so be careful out there when looking.
Out and about with 6hinemoa2 to complete the nearby cluedo series and this one popped up and we thought why not. A great hint led us straight to the cache but it is not a mint tin anymore. Thanks for the cache deshut
Had to get another smiling face while out this way. Eventually Sorceysal found the little devil.
True, I would probably never have been on these roads without geocaching. That's one of the things I like about the hobby.

Received a call from my great caching mates the suscoe cachers to see if I was interested in a mornings caching out through Bannockburn and around Stieglitz, well is the Pope a catholic.
After our last caching adventure down to Apollo Bay on Tuesday today was a perfect day.
Arrived at GZ, had a quick look around and Ross was onto this guy in a flash.
Thanks deshut for placing this guy.

Suscoe headed out on a morning wander with our good mate Bushfire.
It was a cool morning, a bit of wind from the south west and a few clouds here and there but mostly sunny to start with.
That changed late morning with some drizzle and low clouds.
We had a terrific time out wandering about the bush.
The tracks were in pretty good condition given the soggy week.
There were lots of birds calling as we made our way around the area.
We even spotted a wallaby heading quickly to the north.
Thanks to deshut for this hide.

26/08/2017 3:52:00 PM - I stopped off here with Square_Pegs to have a look for this cache. It's a sneaky hide that did have us confused but then it turned up just where it was supposed to be.

We enjoyed the drive along the red road, it was interesting to see the different surface. We began searching and circled around a few times before abl973 discovered the hide in a spot that I thought I had already checked.

There's no excuse needed to visit Steglitz, but grabbing a few caches in the area is a bonus with the company of Roos, wallabies and Roy and H.G.
Making my way to find clues I ventured Nana's first which took a few minutes to locate.
Log signed and replaced as found.

I was laying in bed having a lazing morning when the phone went of with a new cache published. That cache was in Lerdie and while I love the walk up in Lerdie my body isn't up to it at the minute plus I was planning on attending an event at the You Yangs later today. Then another cache came through Steiglitz I can do specially as it a drive by. I quickly though on some cloths and out the door I went.
Doh I need some fuel so quick stop just to put enough fuel to get me there and back and I was off again.
Steiglitz is a 30min drive from Lara so I hopefully no one can get there any quicker. I had a good run with no one impeding my travel.
GZ is a nice quiet parking spot on the side of the road with good parking and what was better is that no one was there already. Hopefully they haven't been and gone already. A quick search and I had the cache in hand and a big smile on my dial when the log book was blank.
Thank you deshut for the cache but with the name of the cache I expect it is really Thank you nana hut
