Found it! Unfortunately This was the first time I ever had a pen run dry on me. Therefore, a photo of the partially signed log will have to do.thank you for placing this one.
found today while visiting the area mainly for bridge but also to catch up with family from this part of the country. A lovely day for a walk in an area I had not visited before. Funny enough I meet up with another geocacher with the same idea. Worked well as we found all the caches we looked for along this trail. Some took longer than others, Thanks to Kiwi864 for placing and maintaining the caches along here. Will be back on a bike on day to pick up some more
Came out to this area for another nosey... Found the cache through the long grass and soon after had the cache in hand. Thanks for the placement.TFTC Kiwi864, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 1 today, making this find #4616
Good Cache, found after a little doubt. (I had told the others that it was "Buried under a rock".) #11
Cache was a fairly quick find and I then stood and watched the big trucks taking shingle out of the riverbed

Oh wow, very overgrown here, not too bike friendly as opposed to the previous finds.
Trail of no return.
Kia ora! Paldies!
Thanks for the cache, Kiwi864!

Found after looking around numerous rocks! Thankyou for the hide. Track still overgrown!!
Initially tried riding the bike down here l, definitely well to over grown for that so had to resort to pushing. Nice quick find once in loc TFTC.
Found with Kozjah. Took a second to get the correct rock. Watch your fingers!
Like the Edmonds cookbook, we were shore to rise to the occasion and find this one

Nice walk down by the river.... Well until my hiking shoes started to collect river mud and I started getting taller..... Found a better track on our way back..... TFTC
After farewelling my brother in ChCh yesterday I was planning on a 2 day trip to Methven to spend time with family. This was a wee walk along stopbanks, tracks and gravel roads that I managed before hitting the road south.
Took a bit long to locate this one... but got there in the end

A tough one to get to as I made a bad option here, but once there it was a quick find. TFTC.
The second part of the morning was hunting down these caches along the southern bank of the Waimakariri river. I parked up at the car park just off the access road and used a couple of there-and-back trips on the bike to get them. I can see another access point much further down so will be back another time soon to get the last of them.
No issues, all found. Thanks for placing and maintaining all these caches Kiwi864.

Off on the new geocycle so get a few caches, what a great day, a couple of DNFs but all in all a good day to head out and blow the cobwebs away and enjoy the outdoors, Thank you for placing and maintaining the cache/s (copy and past logs coming) 2 hours of good wholesome fun. TNLN used the Mr Cuddly Brick Stamp
Quick find. But our caching adventure along the river ended here as the people from the metal quarry put a gate across the road and locked it (around 3pm) while we were finding this cache. TFTC
We drove over this morning in search of some caches for the latest Mystery at the Museum souvenir hunt. After walking back to the car we left in the carpark we walked straight passed it looking for a track to the next one. Its not a clear marked track at the beginning but you can see a manformed leaf trap that we followed climbing over and under a few downed trees on the way as the GPS ticked down. A nice easy find once there. This find gave us our last Sapphire for 4/15 jewels collected. Thanks for the effort involved in placing and creating this cache for all of us to enjoy.
Quick find once I'd bashed my way there.. was happy to find the slightly over grown but far easier (track) way out .. River side of the big concrete blocks... TFTC. #650
7953. We decided to spend part of the day trying to complete the Waimakariri River series with Rodney biking and Iris providing moral support! We started from the Haul Road end this time, having put off yesterday's attempt because of the predicted 30+ degree temperatures! This was a nice easy cache, once GZ was reached. Obviously the original track has been well overgrown, but still able to be followed with some effort- cache find number seven of twelve finds out of fifteen attempts. Thanks for the cache and the exercise. Rodney and Iris.
Actually I think this is the one I had to bush bash to.
Cheers and thanks,
S.t.

The planets, stars and weather were all aligned so my caching buddy Bbear could go on a geocaching bike ride. Yay Your series was the reason for us being in this area.

Struggled with how to approach the cache initially, but worked it out in the end. GPS led me on a merry dance for a while, but I applied a bit of logic and found it eventually. Tftc and the adventure!
I too approached this from the river end. What an interesting trek that turned out to be!! Got the smilie and got back on track. Took a TB which doesn't appear to be noted on the cache page. TFTH and the challenging journey. Lots of fantails chatting away.
This series of caches has been growing steadily over the last year so it's about time I got A into G and found a few of them. Today I needed to find 9 caches for stats purposes and so after attending the event at the Antarctic Centre cafe, StreetWalker and I headed this way.
Even though SW had already found many of these caches, he still accompanied me and even found one or 2 for me too .
This didn't take long to track down - helped enormously by SW. Grabbed the TB. TFTC.

#15611. I was keen to make 5 finds on a lunch time cycling caching expedition. This was the first cache, and I made hard work of it. The first problem was I overshot, and ended up at the base of a groyne amongst lots of hint objects. Eventually I fired up c:geo on the phone and looked at log photos. There was only one, but it told me I was in the wrong place. My GPSr then took me 30m or so back down the track to a more promising location. Even then, it took me a few passes to locate the cache. I'm going to have to lift my game to find four more and get back to work before afternoon smoko! TFTC.
Wandered right out onto the riverbed for this one and then backtracked with a wee bush bash. All well here! TFTC love the series. River of No return is also the title of a song by Bruce Dickinson, of Iron Maiden fame
A great line of caches on the map so we brought our bikes and cruised along between caches on a nice sunny and warm afternoon. Cache found and on to the next. TFTC
Trail of no return!! Approached from the river side, realised mistake and back tracked- still a mission to get to!! Thanks for the placement kiwi864
Having a fun ride around the Templar Park today, I stopped the bike up top then wandered down. Should have come along this path in the first place. Cheers
On a waitangi day mission to the big city to get some numbers . have set myself a target of 5000 finds by the end of the year ,thats an average of 106 a month so a few more road trips on the cards luckily the rain has stopped .
Wandered down the river bed then a bit of bush bashing for a quick find tftc dropped off tb

With my in-laws visiting for the week, it was an easy decision to head out for some caches with my father-in-law Popmac. We decided to head out for a bike ride and get the caches in this series.
This cache was a quick find today. Thanks for the cache.

Set off to do caching in the McLeans island. 60 k round trip on the bike, Great day 20 plus caches missed two. Thanks for the series
We enjoyed our walk along the tracks on the other side of the river yesterday so we decided to go for another wander along this side today. Thanks for placing this cache
Fantastic day to be out here biking and geocaching. No wind, warm and nobody around -- not when we came through. Another quick find, TFTC.
Went for a bike ride late in the day in very pleasant weather. I wanted to pick up four or five more caches to round off the year. Landed up finding all of the 10 in this area that I hadn’t already done. Made hard work of getting to this one. Learned that it’s not accessed via the river bed! Once at GZ, it was a straightforward find. #1571. TFTC.
6th today. Glad it's a cooler day. Comment from other caching team. "Where's the rock."
