Found It!A quick find here and an interesting bit of history. First time I've ever been to Lue.TFTC
Heading to Mudgee today (enroute to Brisbane via roads less travelled) to celebrate SideTracked Day at an event at Mudgee Station this evening. Stopped here because I've come to like seeing old railway stations and I like that this one has received some TLC from the community. A straightforward find once I referred to the hint and relocated to a different level. Thanks for placing a cache here squirrels0291 ... a pity that it's not part of the SideTracked phenomena.
Used the excellent hint to find the location but the cache was exposed. Tucked it away so it was safe from prying eyes. TFTC
The cache was out in the open so we signed and tucked it away Just managed before the dog walker came by. TFTC
Yes a bit tricky but trying to avoid the prickly bushes was a task TFTC JenneG And Budgy Nth Nowra with Tony and Anne
Headed north with fitzy_1965 and albida33 for the June long weekend.
Headed through Oberon on our way to Rylstone for a Community Celebration Event on Saturday. A loop north above Rylstone on Sunday to pick up some older caches and then out to Newnes on Monday before heading home. Found a nice spot to set up camp for the two nights. Super cold on the first night but was more frosty on the second….go figure.
Day 2 saw us up and away reasonably early. Next stop was this cache to avenge a DNF for fitzy and myself. Glad this one has been moved away from the private property. Took us a few minutes from all angles and levels before found by albida33.
Thanks squirrels0291.

Weekend trip to Rylstone June 2021. I joined with Fitzy_1965 & MinnieK for a drive to Rylstone and the surrounding area for a long weekend of caching with a Community Celebration event as the final goal on Saturday. We also did some caching around Oberon on the way and a day on a loop via Mudgee & Gulgong to visit some older caches. On the way home we stopped in at Newens as well. A cold but fun weekend away.
Today was the loop drive. It was nice to get a look at the old station. The cache was far enough away., that the time we took looking for it did not attract undue attention.
Thanks for the cache squirrels0291

24,861. Found with minniek and albida33 during our 2021 June Long Weekend trip up to the Rylstone region.
Heading north on the 2021 June Long weekend to the Rylstone region for a Community Celebration Event, some Adventure Labs, and a few of the surviving golden oldies caches of NSW. After a cool night camping at Rylstone, we headed off on a clockwise loop for today's caching adventures. Our next stop was this cache. We had missed this cache in October 2019, and was happy to see that it had been moved from the building. A nice quick find this time around. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next cache on the list.
Thanks squirrels0291 !!

Parking overnight at the nearby Lue Hall I saw this cache nearby. I'm always interested in abandoned infrastructure and from GZ could see the Butcher, Draper and Grocer, as well as the station and line. Iron ore mining must be very effecient, or else you'd think the rails would be melted down.
PS I reckon the hint needs to be prefixed with 'Upper'

Tftc squirrels 0291, made a find after wandering around getting sent by GPS in the wrong direction. Did a lot more bush bashing than was needed here

A day trip to Lue, Rylstone and Kandos for sightseeing and geocaches.
Lue station had seen better days. The station is boarded up and the railroad tracks are overgrown with weeds; Mother Nature is claiming back her territory.
Near the cache location we were initially searching at the wrong level. But once on the right level the cache was quickly spotted.
Thanks squirrels0291.

I have checked on this cache and changed the location slightly. It should be an easier find now. Plenty of parking. Just keep a watch out for any snakes as with any country location. Cheers!

I have moved this further away from the building than it already was. It should be a slightly easier find now.

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 28 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

With the Private Property No Trespassing signs we were uncomfortable searching for this one.
Headed north for a caching weekend away with fitzy_1965 & GLISS!
Unfortunately didn't turn up anything here today as we weren't entirely comfortable with the 'Private Property' sign out the front

A great way to spend a weekend - a trip away with minniek & Fitzy_1965 - yay! There are "Private Property. Trespassers will be prosecuted." Signs here. Looks like te station has been soled. We did not look for long as it felt a bit awkward. Perhaps this one should be archived?
My travelling companion, a train buff, stopped to take some photos of the station so I took the opportunity to grab the cache, which was found after getting down very low.
Good one, thanks squirrels0291.

A typical railway station for these parts.
No trains, no passengers waiting, windows boarded up
Oh !! And there was a geocache somewhere waiting to be found
I wandered in ...
... poked around ...
... poked some more
Yet no cache could be found
Too tricky by half for me as well !! [:o]

I was mindful of the terrain rating of 1.5, as well as cautious of snakes, so my search didn't extend beyond the platform. Maybe the terrain rating needs to be changed if the cage is "lower".
Found after getting down Ybj, it couldn't be any Ybj-er, the building may be private property but the surrounding platform and line do not seem to be so

TFTC roadtripping and this cache gave us a reason to stop at a lovely old station
Noted the signs about 'Private property'.
Suggest to move the cache elsewhere.

After a couple of pleasant nights at the Old Bara camp site, we had to pack and leave to get back to Sydney. We decided to take another Less Travelled Road - but not within the series.
No luck today, it just might be the heat of +44 degrees or a temporary cache blindness ...

2/10/17. 5:29 PM.
4th of 5 DNFs (amongst 38 finds) today.
Day 3 of the long weekend for which I have come up to plunder caches in the Mid West Regional council. The final leg of the trip late this afternoon was spent caching the small towns strung along Lue Rd on my way back to Sydney. 5 finds and 3 DNFs in this hour. I went through Mount Frome, Mount Knowles, Havilah, Lue, Monivae and Camboon, then back into Rylstone which I had cleared out on Saturday.
Back along the dirt road from "Lue Cemetery" towards this one, which keeps reminding me of U2's "Zoo Station" for some reason. Cruising past the tiny pub which seems to have more patrons drinking outside than in, so I decided I'd be better off getting back onto Lue Rd and parking on that side and searching from there.
Well, after about 10 minutes, I was empty handed despite being what I had thought was thorough and even remembering to look in a similar level to where I'd found "Old Railway, Mudgee" about 3 hours ago. Can't spend too long on DNFs at this hour, so I gave up and continued east to "Tung Bung" next.

We searched and we searched and we searched and searched but no luck. We were worried the locals out the front of the pub across the tracks might have been getting suspicious of what we were doing so sadly we retreated back to the car.
Couldn't spot this one today but did find some smoking implements that looked like someone was having a good time in this area.
TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
[FTF]. Quick find. Nicely hidden. Good spot for a cache. Thanks for placing. Tftc.
