A cool but fine day to wander the walls of Dubrovnik

We have been looking forward to Dubrovnik ever since we left Australia. And it has let us down!

Heute besuchten wir Dubrovnik. Als ersten machten wir einen Rundgang auf der Stadtmauer.

During our cruise with the Oosterdam I found this cache. Never been in Croatia. Nice place here. Beautiful. We walked around the whole wall. Now time to log Thank you for the cache. Greetings from Holland.

The plan was to be the first on the wall.
We did not have that luck. This day was a marathon in Dubrovnik. The city walls opened just at 11:30. Hot, sun, no trace of clouds. But we were stubborn and brave. We had to go up.
And it was worth it. It's so beautyfull there. With a view from the walls you can fully look at the city and, of course, the sea, oh, the sea....
So calm, so blue, so infinite.
This day we walked Dubrovnik over and over. We measured 11 km of walkouts.
It was worth it.

Today we decided to take the boat from Cavtat to Dubrovnik to visit the city. It is very hot and the tour will be done under the sun. The city is beautifull and the cache interesting.

The log to this cache is easy outside that it is hot and the tour of the city wall cannot be done without a lot of water.

Today was the second day of evy.b’s and mine holiday in Croatia. Today’s excursion went to the old town of Dubrovnik. A fascinating place! We also had to log a cache or two. This was one of them. Thank you for showing us this place trojmiasto

We were in Mlini last July on holiday and picked up a few caches in Dubrovnik. Since our visit this new virtual has appeared and today we stopped off here on a cruise so after a trip up the cable car we had another walk through the old town to this virtual. We had already walked the walls on our last visit so today we got close to GZ from the inside and outside to take our photos. Our photos will be uploaded when we get back home next week. Congratulations on your virtual reward and TFTVC. Thanks for bringing us back to this lovely place so a favourite point awarded as this also helps us with a challenge cache we are trying to complete at home.

Auf der Balkanrundreise heute in Dubrovnik angekommen. Für mich war es der dritte Besuch nach 1978 und 2002. Irgendwie hat sich das einst so großartige Ragusa zu einer Drosselgasse entwickelt, wobei wir hier noch Glück hatten, denn die Saison der Kreuzfahrtschiffe hat noch nicht begonnen. Doch der Charme der Altstadt ist flöten gegangen, seit sie nur noch im Tourismus-Dauerbetrieb funktioniert. Aber zu den Verursachern zählen wir ja auch. 20 Euro Eintritt für einen Rundgang sind etwas heftig, an solche Preise kann ich mich nicht erinnern. Aber die Mauer von außerhalb ist ja auch ganz schön. Viele Grüße aus dem Vogelsberg an einem heißen Frühlingstag auf dem Balkan.

Unser erster kroatischer Cache. Die Mauer haben wir nicht besucht bei 150 kuna /Ew wäre das zu 4 zu teuer gewesen. Wir waren vor Jahren ja schon hier. Danke sagt Perkel

Today I arrived in Dubrovnik with AIDAblu. I had a great time here and enjoyed my walk on the city walls a lot.
The view was fantastic with all the red roofs, narrow streets and the sea on the other side of the walls. Thanks for showing me this lovely place!

Together with my family I had before a 2 hours city walls walk with a lot of great photos but the view from Fort Lovrijenac to the old town during our Game of Thrones tour was the best.

nice but very windy walk along the wall to the spot, after having tried to access the area from other directions, but could not get closer than 100m. the view in all directions was spectacular. the only problem we have is the price of admission which was a bit ridiculous, but probably not more so than any other prices for anything bought in the old town. Most expensive coffee since Venice, and it was cold. tftc

It was very interesting walking around the old town and trying to picture scenes from the series. It all looks so different. It was very cold and windy up here but worth the visit .... TFTC

This was my third tour to Croatia and second time here in Dubrovnik. We had a walk inside the walls, but unfortunately this time it wasn't allowedes any more to climb onto the walls. So my picture is from the nearest point to the coordinates needed but outside the wall. When I'm back in Finland, I'll add a picture from the place needed. I hope this is OK. We had now rainy and windy day in Dubrovnik but views are glorious, however. TFTC

Found it the GZ and take the pictures during our trip to Croatia, Bosnia and Slovenia, last summer. Thank's for this great idea about Dubrovnik city walls.

Unfortunately, on my visit to Dubrovnik last summer this cache had not yet been published. However, I can not resist the invitation to return here and leave some pictures of the unforgettable Dubrovnik City Walls.

Without doubt, the most spectacular attraction of the city and that gave me one of the most beautiful memories of this brief passage through Croatia. A sunset that I will never forget ...

Diesen Sommer waren wir mit dem Motorrad auf der gesammten Jadranska Magistrala unterwegs.
Diesen Virtual hatten wir leider nicht in unserem Speicher, aber Bilder von der Mauer und in der Altstadt haben wir natürlich während unseres Besuches in Dubrovnik genügend geschossen.
Wir hoffen es geht in Ordnung das wir diesen noch nachloggen,
sonst kommen wir gerne im nächsten Jahr nochmal wieder hier her Dubrovnik hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Avec Bart38110, à l'occasion d'un grand voyage de 3 semaines en Europe du Sud avec comme objectif, de valider 9 nouveaux pays dans les statistiques personnels.

18ème jour de voyage. Aujourd'hui, on fait la route entre Budva et Neum en passant par Kotor, Cetinje, Trebinje, et Dubrovnik.

Petite visite de Port-Real, enfin Dubrovnik. Superbe ville! On fait une photo au plus près des coordonnées car on n'a pas eu envie encore de dépenser.
