What a cool spot. I never would have found it without this virtual. It wasn’t open for ascending as far as I could tell, so I stayed at the bottom.

Today was our trip to Venice. I hate such places full of tourists. At the snail were only a few people and we decided to spend the money and go up, the view over the roofs was gorgeous but 7€ per adult:-( So at the end of the day I've visited Venice but I'll never come back.

La nostra seconda cache in Italia Whole week I'm in Venice, unfortunately without my fiancée. During first free afternoon I've decided to find two of the oldest caches here, traditional cache at Murano and this virtual cache in Venice Unfortunately, when I arrived, it was closed, so I could just take a photo in front of it Greetings from Slovakia TFTC

When Brad&Janet planned their trip from South Australia it included Venice. A separate trip planned by Freddo included Venice. In May? Yes in May
So heads were put together, resources pooled, and puzzles were solved.
And in Venice, caches were found

This one is a little beauty. We would never have found this spot without the VC to bring us there. Even then it took a couple of attempts to get to GZ. Once there we gladly paid our money and ascended to the heights. We also took some time on the second floor to visit the artwork there. Very impressive.

We were staying the night in a B&B nearby and before dinner we walked past the spot and luckily I found access to the snail.

The views are great from there.

One and a half day in Venice. That means a lot of walking around in that wonderful city.
And ofcourse we had to find some caches in between.

Since I had prepared the round where to go, I lead my husband here and didn't tell him before what to expect. So he was really surprised and flashed with what he saw when we arrived.

We paid the admission and climbed to the top and enjoyed the view of Venezia. There was also a little museum to visit. So glad we stopped and climbed to the top. This was an interesting stairway, thanks for bringing us here. Chatted with the young woman at the desk, it turns out she studied English in Vancouver and has visited Vancouver island. Gets a fave from us.

It has been a lovely long Easter weekend spent in Venice. I have always wanted to go there but somehow it took me a lot of time to get there. Venice is an amazing city. We have spent there nice 4 days. All started from Part 2 ...

GC5NZ9A - Venice is a "Big Fish" - another great earthcache. It was easy to answer the questions but they helped me to leran some new stuff about tides!
GC2KYMK - San Francesco della vigna - the closet cache to our hotel - we went there early in the morning and we managed to avoid all the muggles! nice place to visit!
GC42CTN - Orio's House - I have also found the heart but no cache:( Hopefully the picture is enough for a log! Anyway we met some nice local grandpa who was trying to tell us a story in Italian about some missing object
GC3Q9JF - Venice. High Tide - nice place close to the parade. Something for change from tide paths of Venice!
GC474AN - The anchors - nice mystery cache. We have solved it before we went to Venice. The cache was easy to find, and it was a little bit too exposed. All good.
GC5WNE1 - S. Elena - It was a little bit challenging but we managed to get the cache. Really nice place to visit. Adding a favorite point!
GC473GN - The clock - our first mystery in Venice. It was interesting one to solve. There are that many clocks in Venice and many of them are needed to read in different ways. I really like this one. Adding favorite point!
GC7JZRA - Rialto Bridge - we have passed this bridge many times during our stay in Venice. I really love it!
GC7BFF - The Snail - I think it was my the most favourite cache in Venice. I like this place. It was difficult to get there. We were all the time that close but that far at the same time!
GC62RA5 - La Natura Delle Cause - we had a sun, we had a flood we had experienced many kinds of weater in Venice. It is an interesting Earthcache!
GC7BA4 - Death in Venice - really interesting an old multi cache in Venice. The stages all over the Venice with nice final in quiet cemetery. The best stage ws Campanille! Great views! Adding favorite point!
GC6PH76 - Marmo a Basilica di San Marco - D_Leslie_A #68 - at our first day we did not manage to enter the basilica, it was closed at 1.30pm. So we had more time to walk around and grab few caches. This one was really interesting!
GC7D9RM - VT-The Perfect Bridge - Il Ponte Perfetto - nice mystery, solved some time before we went to Venice. It was easy to find the cords, but it is shame for us, that we spent really long time to find a cache. I am sure I looked into the place many times! Maybe the stress with a lot surrounding muggles
GC6TTWA - The Tetrarchs – D_Leslie_A #74 - next one nice earthcache on St. Marcos. Interesting one, it is always to find something new!

Auf Visite in Venedig auch hier vorbeigekommen und dieses imposante Bauwerk bestaunt. Manche Sachen würde man in diesen engen Gassen wirklich nicht vermuten.

On a geocaching trip to Venice one should not take the muggler wife with you. But I did. Of course she is more interested in the shoe shops. However, I managed to get here here, too.
This cache is a nice idea, because I wouldn't have come here otherwise.

We spent three days and nights in this marvelous city. Besides enjoying the beautiful city we also searched for some Geocaches - this Cache was one of them...

We had the chance to climb up the snail tower, just to meet some other guests from Austria. We were quite lucky since the tower would have benn closed half an hour later due to a wedding. The few was fantastic, definetely worth a favorite point,

Spent the day in Venice (visiting from NJ USA) in this area and passed by multiple times but never went down the street where the cache is. When I got back to our room I realized we needed to find a cache today so one of my daughters came out with me. The gate was locked but the area is well lit. Will come back tomorrow with my wife and other daughter and show them the cool location. Maybe it will be open and we can check it out - Google seems to indicate it's open daily. Thanks for bringing us to this cool spot. Picture to follow within a few minutes.

Fantastic trip to Venice with RastaMonkey1 During the weekend we visited all the main museums and churches, Murano and Burano islands and even went to I Musici Veneziani's Vivaldi Four Seasons concert. That was simply amazing!
Of course we found some caches on the way too - thank you!

Unfortunately today was very foggy, so the views were very limited. Thank You for the cache!

During our visit in Venice, we suddenly stood in front of this 'snail'. As it was open, we climbed the stairs, enjoyed the magnificient view and also counted the arches Thanks and best regards from Switzerland.

Love this tower, 6th visits to Venice and never seen it before. Thanks to geocaching for showing us.

Brilliant cache. Lucky enough to find tower open so able to climb to top and get information which have sent to CO. Biggest problem was getting out again as camera crew were filming people in costume! TFTC

During our Carnival holidays we took the train from Trento to Venice to visit the city during this particular period.
Our last day in Venice, we log our last caches and we could not miss that one !
The building is really nice but the entrance fee "only" to climb up the stairs is really expensive ...

TFTC In the region for work and we got done early so it was time to go get a hotel in a new location....Venice. Checked into my hotel and headed straight out for this cache.

What an amazing building. We would never have seen it without this cache. We didn't go upstairs for 7 euros but we took a photo in front of.

After solving the WIG we went to the old ghost cache. We liked the idea to go upstairs but 7 Euro for it? There are other more interesting things that are cheaper. So we decided to make pictures from us and Thisa will send it. We had never visited this area without this cache. Tftc.

Der heutige Tag stand im Zeichen Venedig und Suchen in neuer Umgebung. Die Caches in Venedig sind allesamt gut, aber etwas tolles sucht man hier vergeblich. Außer die Plätze, die man dank der Caches finden kann, sind allesamt wunderschön. So wie die gesamte Stadt außerordentlich schön ist!
Dieser war unser fünfter Cache heute. Aufgabe konnte gut erfüllt werden und schon gings weiter zum nächsten...

Today was a really good day for this Cache. Wonderfull weather, a Little bit to cold, but we wandered all of the little streets in Venice. So our feet (and the GPS) gets us to this very interesting Point.

Wow! I would totally miss it so thanks for placing a cache here! TFTC and Happy New Year!

Diesmal verbrachten wir Silvester in der Gruppe und fuhren nach Venedig. Kaum angkommen, gings schon auf Dosenjagd. In 2 Tagen legten wir mehr als 30km auf dem Inselchen zurück und hatten den Eindruck, dass wir jede Brücke und jede noch so kleine Gasse zumindest 1x besucht hatten . Um Mitternacht bestaunten wir das geniale 20 Minuten dauernde Feuerwerk, aßen die schon obligatorischen Ripperl im HRC und typisch italienische Pizza und Pasta, bevor es dann leider wieder nach hause ging. Es waren tolle 2 Tage für uns, danke an alle Owner, die das möglich gemacht haben.

Ein kurzer Urlaub hier in Venedig, das Wetter war hier irgendwie nicht das beste aber wir lassen es uns hier trotzdem nicht vermiesen. Der Anfang der heutigen Tour war war the Snail hier hat man wenigstens etwas Ruhe vor den Touristen Massen. Den Ort besucht und den Turm in Ruhe bestiegen und die herrliche Aussicht genossen.

A few weeks ago, I had a wonderful trip to Venice with my mother. Without Geocaching and the fine idea of this owner to create a cache at this sight, we would never had the chance of finding and seeing this beautiful tower !

Although we were wandering around the object for a while without finding it (my GPS didm´t work well). we finally found it and would have loved to climb it to the top, but it was closed.

So we took a few pictures from "bottom to top", instead of the other way round , and placed a blue heart in the garden in front !
