Day #2 [15-2] of 5 for my trip away. Today’s main goal was to get down to Merimbula safely. So in other words, not many finds today. The caches I found today were mostly quick and easy finds with two DNF’s. However, before leaving Cooma, I discovered there was a newly-ish published cache with a chance of a FTF. So, with the other caches I was wanting to find before leaving Cooma I added it to the list. I also found a few labs. Once on the road, I focused on caches which were quick park and grab along the way. When I arrived in Merimbula, I headed straight for the beach. It so nice to see it again. After the beach and lunch, I headed off to find some nearby caches including a couple more labs before checking into the motel. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment.

Thanks for the cache, found after completing the nearby earthcache.
Had a good search and looked through images for location. Spotted a pic with hide and not there. Searched around in case it had been moved but no luck.

A wonderful pre-dinner walk.
Detoured off the boardwalk for this one, however even with some strong hints in the gallery we left without a smiley.

I was expecting this to be easy, but three of us searched and we could not find this cache. Bah.
A little offshoot adventure while doing the boardwalk trail. Cache and log in good condition. TFTC
Great little starter for those just getting back into it like my son and myself. Not too hard to find with a variety of treasures. Thank you

We were surprised by the abandoned kayak nearby, it seems to have been there a long time judging by the growth around it, but it seemed to be in fairly good shape.... hmmm!

Myself and sebass19 left Canberra bright and early, and made our way leisurely down to the coast! Lots of great caches both on the way & at the destination before we called it a night to prepare for the big day of VB caches to come!

Nice deviation from main boardwalk. Forgot my pen to sign (and little cache pin did not want to write). Left my takeaway number docket from last night. Will return with a pen !
Nice little hide. Shame about the mozzies. Unfortunately didn’t have a pen so couldn’t sign the log
Heading down the coast towards Eden, we thought we wouldstop to check out Merimbula as neither of us had been there before. We had heard the board walk was a great place to visit, so we parked next to the bridge.
We were enjoying the board walk and thought we would detour to grab this cache too. It was quickly found in the second obvious place with good coordinates. Signed at 3.30 pm.

3rd gc in Merimbula so far, it wasn't where I expected it to be, I picked up a trackable, super fun to walk around here, thanks!

Lockdown has bought a totally different approach to caching with the introduction of homework! Much time for homework in fact. Therefore many more puzzles solved, both as a solo and collective effort. Thanks to my fellow geo buddies for assistance when needed.
And in between there are still some traditionals, though not nearly as many of them left these days
Logs all in good condition unless otherwise noted.

A quick find inbetween the rain showers. A very odd weather day. Rain. Hot flushes. Storms. Crazy!

So grateful to have been able to step away from the madness for a couple of days with GLISS! and K8TYBEE, to help mark K8TYBEE’s birthday. Heading home today but couldn’t resist meandering home via some little cache trails and sweet counties towns. Been watching the news diligently to keep track of all the latest on the covid news. So far things have continued to remain clear down here. Fingers crossed that continues! Thanks for the cache.
