Down from Whangarei in Christchurch for a few days visiting family and meeting our first grand daughter. Whilst the other half took the credit card for another walk, I decided to pick up a few local caches, even though the weather was decidedly chilly this morning.A nice quick find once at GZ TFTC
A straight forward find. Good hint. Log paper wet, but waterproof, so pen worked. Thanks for the placement and bringing us here.
I biked to this one this afternoon, a new area for me and nice to explore. Looks like a nice peaceful neighbourhood. No trouble finding the cache here, and no one around to watch me is always helpful too. Thanks for the cache!
I've been telling myself "I'll log it when I get home" and then completely forgetting (Adhd- my working memory is terrible) so I need to go back back my old method of logging in the field. Anyway, I think I've managed to back log my last few caches to the correct dates based on my calendar appointments/events and the reason I was in the area when I found the cache. This one was a minor detour on the way out of town to visit a friend. A nice easy find- the log is a bit wet despite double containers but it's waterproof paper so a quick dry off and no problem signing it. TFTC
Thank you friend, first find. Noticed the paper was a bit wet. Water is getting inside the container
Pulled into Marshlands Road to go after this cache. Unfortunately there was no parking available there. Had to drive around a whole bunch of streets to gain access to this park. Once there it was a reasonably quick find. #7121. TFTC.
Arrived into Christchurch to deliver the Uni student to his accommodation for the 2024 year, and a specific caching target of a couple of D/T grid caches.....Had spent the morning assisting the setup of said accommodation, so ended the day early as far as daylight was concerned, so hatched a plan to locate the first of my targeted caches.....a short walk from the bus stop and a quick find for this one.TFTC.
I love the caches they take us into new neighbourhoods. This one hasnt seen much love lately so Im glad we came
Mrs Biggles and I headed into the city for breakfast with our sons this morning. After that there was time to find a few caches. An interesting listing indeed. Found this cache in the second place I looked. TFTC, Biggles.
Needed some motivation to get out of the house on this grey day, so an excursion to this local park I'd never visited it is. Nice wee spot, tftc!
I had unfinished business with this one. Nice to finally get it. Quick enough grab even with some strange gps interference.

The initial placement has been muggled twice and the area has been smothered in mulch.a tree "protecting" the ground is dying with old branches falling off or pruned off and piled up right on GZ. It doesn't feel like a good hide now.

Out with the CO for maintenance on this cache, hopefully secure in the new spot. TFTC!
Its DnF day today..I did find something that could be "shocking " but sadly no cache..needs attention
Not sure if I found. There are 230 reasons it might be but a special tool would be required to get inside.
Phone GPS suggested the coordinates were a bit out for me however looked where I would have hidden it and was rewarded with a find; TFTC
Thanks it's was a lovely wee reserve that I had always driven by but never been into the suburb. Even had a lovely kitty join me while I signed the log. TFTC & a little bit of room for Swag
Short geocaching trip around Christchurch with woolwood9.

Exploring new neighbourhoods on this last Sunday of the school holidays. We stopped a while at the playground we found earlier in the week, and then headed for this tall man. Container was quite unexpected, but at GZ and in perfect condition. This park is big enough to kick a ball. Thanks for the placement and the maintenance.
We had great hopes of what the long man of Wilmington might look like. Well, he might not be as exciting as we first thought but he is long. Found with spoonz2
This was another bonus find on our way back to the Motel after a day on Quail Island. The long man sounded interesting, so off we went to find him and there he was. He is indeed long. Thanks for putting this here and showing us another park. Found with Debsnz.
Easy find today as was passing by .... great to find these parks dotted around the place ... the container wasn’t as exciting as I thought it might be ! TFTC
We were taking Mr C's cousin from Hokitika for a scenic drive. Noticed this cache replaced so we did a slight (haha) detour. was so excited to sign log I am sure I forgot to put in the date. To much chatting going on. Thanks for this clever cache busy paws a fav from us.
All in place again. The bush has changed a bit so cache is pretty exposed. Hope it lasts!
Near the area today and went for a maintenance check. It's gone. I will replace in the next couple of weeks.
#18438. First find of an enjoyable afternoon's caching with Troodles and Lo Vista. I needed one more find than Troodles so we started with one that she had already found. I had notes about the hide, so picked up the outer container right away. It took a while to winkle the cache out however. I went into auto-pilot mode and signed the log as I signed SWNZ and Troodles before amending it SWNZ and La Vista. TFTC.
Start of a social cache adventure with the SWaT team; SW was onto it ASAP - looked like a great cache container and hide in an area I've not visited before.
Fitted well with a trip to the pet shop across the road and a little walk in the park with puppy - first time in public spaces now she's fully vaccinated. Fun find, love the clever vessel! TFTC
Until the viral lockdown is lifted, my geocaches are disabled. Any logs will be deleted. DO NOT Geocache currently.

We were on our way to Rangiora to explore the Adventure Lab Cache, and as we were on our way I noticed this cache that was quite close to the road we were on, so we found a place to pull the campervan over and headed over the road to see what we could see. As we approached we noticed a heap of blackberries, not our favourite plant to search around.
But no need to worry as there were none at GZ. I spotted a wee something and GK retrieved it. Sure enough there was the cache, the log was signed and it was all returned exactly as we found it.
Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

Rain has thwarted our plans for a weekend at lake Pearson so back in the city and time to kill before heading to the movies .. wasn't in the first place I looked but got there eventually tftc
Our last find for the day on a geocaching mission on a lovely sunny afternoon. This one was easily found. Another classic "interesting" hide object. TFTC, Busy Paws!
It was a good spot to have a kick around of the rugby ball and get some energy out of the kids (and find a cache too!). Cheers
I wasn't intending to be in Christchurch caching this week but three weeks ago my wife had spinal surgery. Five days later she developed complications that had her admitted to Wairau Hospital in Blenheim. Tests showed the complications were more serious than first thought and last Friday we were medi-vaced to Christchurch in an air ambulance (sorry it was in a plane, not a helicopter as requested by the CO) to the neuro-surgery ward at Christchurch Hospital. On Monday she had another operation to repair the damage done in the previous surgery.
The neuro-surgery ward had a no visitors 'quiet time' between 1.00pm and 3.00pm in the afternoon so I borrowed a 1987 Toyota Starlet with a genuine 40,500km on the clock off my brother-in-law to go caching. I was in the area getting a missing D/T and this was nearby so I snaffled it up as well. I had to wait for a muggle dog walker to clear off before making the find.

27 August 2019 12:51 PM. Took the office dog for a lunchtime walk as an excuse to be in the park. He loved being a geodog for the day. Day 2 of the August geocaching week completed.
Searched a couple of other places before finding the right one. Then had quite a bit of trouble extracting it. Nice hide all the same. TFTC # 14,429
In Christchurch for a family catch up so took the opportunity for a few finds. Quickly found but took longer to extract as it had been pushed in too far

Nice easy find thanks. Container was a bit water logged but logged not too bad
Avalanche Pass trackable visited this cache today while with our church walking group. Rodney.
Nice quick find. All in good condition. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. Team Broadbent (signed TB on micros). Find # 1814
I was heading close by to watch tonight’s ABs test match; looked at my phone to see if there were any nearby caches & was delighted to see this one.
Great container; thanks for your efforts, busy paws. Another favourite from me.

Typically clever hide. Tftc. Did manage to scalp myself on the way into GZ, beware of branches!
I've already found a few caches hidden by this CO, and they've always been a bit different, I never know what to expect. I had the pleasure of meeting the CO at a recent event while I was down on a visit from Kapiti. I certainly had not expected this type of container, it's amazing what can be used. Thanks very much for the cache, (and for the information about the Long Man of Wilmington) well worth a FP.
We saw the name "Busy Paws" on the very first cache we ever found. We noticed it on the second, third and fourth. It became our weird mission to spot it on every cache we would find. We have been waiting for the day you log our cache "Lion's Den" in Northcote. TFTC
Arrived at GZ and it wasn’t long before I spotted something.
Unusual cache, loved it
Thank you busy paws for the cache.

StreetWalker and I had been in the neighbourhood, visiting rellies so this was a good one to look for on the way home.
All quiet late at GZ on a Saturday afternoon and I was helped by notes on the hide SW had made on an earlier recce. Unusual outer container, the cache was quite snug inside and required a bit of coaxing to pop out.
Interesting info on the long man of Wilmington - I had heard of him before but have never seen him "in the flesh", as it were. SW is leaving the paperwork for another day. TFTC.
