fitzy_1965 and I headed towards Albury/Wodonga last night. We camped at the Ettamogah Pub before joining the rest of our friends in Albury today.A great day was had with us picking up lots of trads, multi's and pre-solved puzzles with the day ending in an event in the heart of Albury and a nice hotel room thanks to a Red Balloon voucher. The logs were primarily signed as CIA (Canberra Invasion Albury) unless otherwise stated.

We joined in on the Canberra Albury Invasion or CAI fun this long weekend. After lots of puzzle solving and planning the time had come for a four day weekend of geocache hunting and hiking in and around the Albury/Wodonga area. We could not have picked a better weekend, we had great weather and avenged a couple of DNF's for us. Apologies for the generic log, thank you to all the cache owners for placing and maintaining the caches in this area, and for giving us a reason to come down the highway and visit this lovely area. Thanks for the hide and puzzle yamutha

Albury Invasion trip Day 2. After panning and months of puzzle solving it is finally time to head to Albury Wodonga for a long weekend visit. I was with Kitty Katch, FufacesLL and Joolay for this trip, but I also spent time with Sol de Lune and LuckyL10n due to space in cars. Logs for the weekend were signed CIA23 to save space. Today was a day of driving all up and down and across back and forth around Albury trying to visit as many of the Puzzle locations we have solved. Some were nice walks some just roadside finds, but there was a huge variety of hides and some were very challenging, even if they were in 'traditional' locations. We did fail to find a few, but I put that down to some really good hides that just plain beat us. There were a few puzzle highlights but matching the puzzle to the hide on the day was a little difficult, so I will just thank all the hider's for their hard work and providing the opportunity to spend a fun day. There are still more caches to be found so we have another day planned for tomorrow and will probably have to come back again one day. Thanks for the cache yamutha44825.14 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2009 Australia Wombat Gold 3 A#165**Albida**

33,764. Found with Team CIA23 - Canberra Invasion of Albury 2023.Our caching group has been eyeing off the Albury/Wodonga area for quite some time. After many months of hard work we had solved nearly all the area's puzzles, so we set a date and headed on down. CIA23 comprised of minniek, Joolay, Kittykatch, isopeda, barb2e, FurfacesLL, Tankengine, dty73, Sol de lune, LuckyL10n, albida33, Aykayem, smittengranny and myself. For part of one day we were joined by local Cacher Happy Feet 1. What a great weekend of caching with such a fun group of people. An event on the Saturday night also helped make the trip memorable. Quick find once at GZ. Signed the log as CIA23, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one on our list. Thanks yamutha !! One of many of your caches we were lucky enough to find. We appreciate your contribution to Geocaching and our enjoyment.

#18862; Day 2 of the Canberra Invasion of Albury 2023 weekend, which had been preceded by much head scratching and puzzle solving to prepare. Our merry band comprised of Sol de lune, albida33, Smittengranny, Kittykatch, Joolay, FurfacesLL, Barb2e and isopeda, along with yours truly, were joined by dty, tankengine, aykayem, minniek and fitzy_65 for a day of action today. Started the day to the north of town and then worked our way south, east and west as we gathered caches. Some finds were difficult as were some of the puzzles and some were easier. Some we didn't find at all! All up 103 finds, one event at the end of the day and nine DNFs for me today. Logs were again signed CIA23. Most of the caches we found were in good order. Apologies for the generic logs, but by the end of the day, like the body, the mind was slowing down as well! Thanks to all of the cache owners for helping make a great weekend for our Canberra caching fraternity. TFTC yamutha Smile

Day 2 of our Albury Trip. For the last few weeks a group of us sat together and solved lots of puzzles for this weekend. Today, SmittenGranny, barb2e, Kittykatch, albida33, FurfacesLL, Joolay, Sol de Lune, LuckyL1On, MinnieK, Fitzy_65, Tankengine, DTY73, Aykayem and me went around Albury and found puzzles, multies, trads, ALs and a virtual etc. To save log space we are signing as CIA (aka Canberra invasion of Albury). The puzzles were all quite interesting, the hides sometimes hard. Sorry for the generic logs. Caching in the group makes logging hard. TFTC

Covid was only good for one thing - staying home and solving puzzles.
Solved a group from the same CO, some were harder than others.
A couple, we needed a little push in the right direction.

In the area today, so we attempted and found seven.
Some hides were a little tougher, but our name is now on the log.
All of them deserve a favourite point.
Many thanks for placing this cache, yamutha, for us and others to find.

Thought we would spend our Sunday picking up some unloved yamutha caches that have been on the solved pile for way too long...
I love a good cipher, but I was left unciphering tooooo long here, so had to reachout for a nudge from the CO, still struggled for awhile before eventually getting there...
Cache found quickly, nice spot for a walk, TFTC yamutha, FP awarded for the clever puzzle design

A 2 day trip with ZQX to Albury and Wagga Wagga, focusing on some higher D/T caches. After an approx 10km wander up, over and around NailCan Hill, we called in at the motel for a snooze before heading out again once the temperature had cooled down a bit. Cache easily found after a pleasant wander along the trail. A post find solve for me. TFTC.

With a new puzzler in town it is hard to get a FTF these days. However there is also unloved caches to chase and this is one of those. Over a year without a find I was keen to collect this one after solving it a few weeks ago. Though when I say solved this one took a lot of effort. Had looked many times and made no progress so searched for a hint and finally got some. Took a lot of Effort to get started but eventually found the tool and the necessary key and finally plugged in a number that got the green light. The frustration continued when I looked for the cache couple of weeks ago - may have been a tad enthusiastic with my search but the CO kindly confirmed that the cache was nearby on the ground (if I had not been so rushed i may have found it).
So with the fear of using the unlove i headed back north and strolled through the pleasant place to quickly find the cache this time. Log signed and on my way.

Another early morning rise to make the most of the day caching. It was cold again but that wasn't going to stop us. The ground was frozen underneath us today but the walk here was great with some good company in DAB and the Tritonz. The cache was located quickly but the puzzle was not so easy. This one took time to find out the co-ords Smile

**Thanks to yamutha for placing this cache for us to find and enjoy** Smile

Setting out early with DAB and Na'wal to get as much caching in as possible before Na'wal had to leave us to head back home. We picked up many presolved caches including the small "S" series before saying goodbye.
This puzzle was intriguing. With the first part worked out , it took awhile to find which cipher was needed to decode the text. Like another puzzle from the same CO both these ciphers had never been used by us in any other puzzle before. So once the connection was made everything fell into place. A very clever put together mystery.
Thanks yamutha for showing us who the leader was.

Another full day of caching planned and yet again I was in the company of Na'wal and The_Tritonz. With a sheet full of solved puzzles to grab, we set off to claim some smiley faces. We had an absolute blast, with plenty of laughs along the way. We were spoilt with magic scenery and some fantastic hides along the way.
Another tough puzzle that was nutted through. TFTC yamutha Big Grin

**# 20187**. Found with Mrs Roosta on a hot sunny drive around. Wink
Hardly any muggles around and a good variety of hides. Wink
Good to see a bit bigger hide, and room for an even bigger one too.
Thanks for the cache yamutha,

Very happy to have this one solved and found. Have been throwing it back & forth with the_stephenson5 the last couple of days along with several other Yamutha puzzles. They cracked it last night using everything we were working with. Back we went to the many screens we still had open on the pc to have another crack & within minutes realised we'd forgotten the key word!! We coulda had this solved yesterday. Pleased to sign the log just before the sun set.

OMG.. this puzzle did my head in..
I have looked at this one seriously over the past couple of days.
I got through the first part ok, apparently thats the hard part. Its the easier second half that had me stumped.. I tried this and that but nothing fell into place. With a clue denied by CO as I had all the info that I needed (at least I knew I was on the right track) it was back to look and look again.. then BANG!! There it was.. puzzle solved just after midnight, but have to wait until after work to sign the log.

Cache found amongst the many spiders by Mr S.. A fav point rewarded from us..

Only 9 of your 55 caches left to find..
Thanks for the challenge Yamutha.

The walk in to this cache was definitely dodge the spider territory! But I soon had the cache in hand, signed and replaced. TFTC yamutha

Another interesting puzzle we had on our list as we came to town. So it was now collection time as we headed for GZ. A few spider webs abut if you are not leading the walk to GZ there are less. TFTC

This was the seventh of 30 plus puzzle caches i was to find in the next 14 hours from Yamutha and others. This in turn was part of a greater list of 85 local puzzle caches i had planned to collect. But like all great plans of mice and men it went wary and my adventure was delayed by 24 hours. Being a great fan of puzzle caches i was keen to start on a new CO offering and learn his MO Thanks The lost wanders for the variety of puzzles some more challenging in solving and finding than others. I apologise for the cut and paste logs due to the shear volume of finds in a short period. I truly appreciate the effort involved in creating the puzzle and cache and they bring me great enjoyment in solving and finding (especially the solving.)
END CUT PASTE
This one took some solving. A well crafted puzzle which required some enlightenment FP awarded.

Whoop Whoop - FTF!
Finally solved and found with the Ez boys on a quick dash after school.
This had been picked up and put down over the few days since being published and I'm happy to say it's been solved and worthy of the 4 stars. Very sneaky, but well put together.

After having no luck and the feeling of getting nowhere, Monday morning bought new light, and a new idea to persue. I deciphered over my theory in my lunch break and decided it was good enough to send a message to the CO and ask if I was Hot or Cold so I didn't waste any more time, and I got a reply in relation to the "heat in Summer" so knew to keep persisting, I was on the right track.
Not long after getting home from school on Pyjama Day, the puzzle was finally pieced together. We all jumped in the car, still in our PJ's from our day at school and I assured them we'd be quick and no one would see us! Whoops..... We ran into a couple of people near GZ. Always the way.
The Ez boys, of course, made the find with Mrs H a good 10m behind! The energy they have!

Thanks Yamutha for the frustration.
Nicely done. A fave from me. Cheers.

I've been told I made a mistake - it's harder than a three and a half! So it is now a D4. Cheers.
