Thankfully today was a better weather day for caching with ilook4geo. We are still hunting around the many caches available in the Mittagong area. No problem with this one and all was returned to its place after the signing duties were done. Thanks go to AsTheCrowsFly' for placing this cache.
Cooler today, so more caching was on the program with goingplaces2. Found a good mixture. Did the necessary duties here and were soon on our way again. TFTC.
My previous and first find for the day this morning was very challenging but eventually successful.
This one was challenging too, but for very different reasons.
At first I couldn't see the item mentioned in the hint for the foliage, then I saw it but no cache. I do hate descriptions which contain body part descriptions. Are we the same height?
Nothing to be seen and then I thought maybe there was another one the same.
Then the fire engine came out and several muggles.
OK so now I could see the cache but how to get to it with all these muggles who smiled but were obviously wondering what I was doing in this odd spot.
So I played with my phone for a couple of minutes - that should put them off.
I read some past logs and one had a suggestion.
The firies moved around and finally were not in view of GZ.
I pounced!
There was no log inside the container so I went back to the geomobile and found something suitable. Once signed I replaced as found.

I guessed where the cache was and believed I could see it. Unfortunately because the heavy rains had washed part of the road and creek away there was a fence up. Luckily it was easily moved and the cache could be accessed safely.

There was a break in the rain so decided to grab this one. Nice quick find. TFTC
Had to climb through some fences but in the end was easier then i thought. good spot.
Having a quick visit to the southern highlands after exploring the South Coast for a few days.
Quick find here, all is well.

The GPS was definitely not behaving for me at GZ. Managed a find anyway using the sattelite map. The river and river bank has all been ripped up nearby so looks a little dangerous at the moment, and also an arborist has been busy right at GZ. I picked up this one after grabbing a vanilla slice from a nearby patisserie.

Thought all the brambles and leaf litter would deter me but I braced and went in, and then cache was soon in hand ??

We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to the NSW Southern Highlands for a short midweek caching holiday, staying in a park cabin at the Mittagong Caravan Park at Emu Plains, and are planning to explore the areas around Mittagong, Bowral, Mount Gibraltar, and Box Vale. Hoping to collect a variety of cache types, including some Earthcaches and Wherigos and previously solved Puzzle caches, and to also complete some of the Adventure Labs in the area. This was our 22nd find of the day (day 4), and 84th find of the holiday.
Our last cache stop for today, and it was to be a nice quick "park & grab" on our way back to the caravan park. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found, with darkness rapidly descending. TFTC 154 Crows.

Today is a big day for Littl3Vix and I, its the day she got her 200th and also just cause general geo trouble in the Southern Highlands, which is almost untouched by us, because plans have always fallen through until now. So far we have made good progress, this being find number 16 for the day. Littl3Vix made quick work of this one, finding it not long after arriving. We completed the signing duties in the car and before returning it and heading on our way. Thanks for the cache!
So today is the day, I am finally got my 200th Both Mizcupcake and I have been organising a run down to the Southern Highlands for some time but plans had always fell through. Finally making our way back and getting a nice and early start, the sunshine in Spring makes for a great day. This is the 16th find for today with no DNFs. A close spot for the geomobile and we were out searching. Mizcupcake and i chose levels and started. This one is Red Hot! And we loved it. Signed and replaced. TFTC!
Found using my Phone this time. Not as good as my Garmin. Some searching the "middle" and
when i was able to find the hint on phone it was an easy find. TFTC

Time to walk some suburban streets. As persons of a certain age we felt obliged to head via Rainbow Road for a photo; sadly the street sign was missing and probably often is. Thankfully once we got here we had much more success, I took a guess at the likely hiding spots and it was a good one.
#5070- Caching back to the mountains with thomo31. The last of 14 caches plus a 5 part multi lab cache. Worth a quick detour. Thanks
Found on a slight detour - heading home from a days caching in the area. A quick find. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
Another trip up the highway to grab a few more around the Southern Highlands. Rapidlywild joined us for the assault and the fun. The weather was lovely with a nice cool breeze. Not a bad haul for the day, and we were all pretty pleased at the end of the full day. We left a couple just to taunt us to return and continue our journey through this pretty area. Thanks Rapidlywild for another funfilled day.

Plan had been in the pipeline with the FFLL ladies to do another Southern Highlands caching run however we have had to move the date a couple times due to changes of circumstances. Today we finally made our way back up the very familiar highway to get cracking on some more finds. Our main target today were a few Muppet puzzles that had comments on them about upcoming archives so we wanted to get the checked off since we had solved them. Target caches were found and quite a few extra more
We had collected our target caches for today, we still had daylight so we decided to keep collecting caches. Another nice easy find, signed and replaced.
Thanks for the cache placement 154 Crows and thanks FFLL ladies for another very fun day trip away

Travelling back to Canberra after the geomuster so decided to complete the Mittagong Adventure Lab and also pick up some other cachers along the way. Approaching GZ, found the bottom half of the cache and the log on the ground. A quick search found the top half still attached at GZ. Signed log and put everything back together.

Quick easy find with LonelyRA after our stop at the lovely Gumnut Patisserie. TFTC
Left Port Macquarie heading south to the Mega event At Canberra.
Our 4th stop on the way staying at the Mossvale Showgrounds.
Headed north to Mittagong so Hubby could do a bike ride & I walked the streets of town before meeting up again to find some other. This was a great way to visit the area,

Nothing calamitous here but replaced log sheet anyway. Thanks "34761" for the heads-up.
Easy find on a red hot day in the Southern Highlands, heading for 37. Glad of a little shade at GZ. TFTC AsTheCrowsFly'
I didn't look for this cache last time I was here because of the DNF that said they searched 30 minutes....! I thought that sounded like a long time for a D1.5 so decided not to waste my time! Sounds like I should of had a go at it anyway though as it was still in place the entire time!
Didn't have any problems here at all to be honest, I walked up and spotted the find instantly thanks to the good coords and hint.
Thanks ATCF, good to have this one done

Checked on this cache today.
Cache is still in place and able to be found.
No problems here. I did replace the log sheet even though it still had a fair number of lines available, will save doing it later.

OCW marj01. Todays plan was to visit the Moss Vale area and complete the Yarrawa Road Trail and the Forgotten Australian series, then grab any other caches we could on the return journey back to Sydney. This slippery little sucker was found without much effort. Thanks for placing this cache.
