Logs
Found with goldielover this very wet ekka day. No info here for the series final Tftc
Accio 16:36:02A shopping trip mission with T4mmmy sort of nearby today, allowed enough time for a short side trip here for a cache I have been to before, but has been reprised since. A lovely area, and found without difficulty. Was a little exposed so popped some bark around it. CheersThanks Crew 153 for entertaining me at this location. *{Overall find #12526}*
Walk down to the geocache container location. Found a pine tree with sticks leaning against it which had no geocache container under it. Found at adjacent pine tree and empty geocache container with labeling. No log sheet or code in box. Walked around the area and found the log sheet approximately 6 meters from the geocache box. Returned log sheets after signing to the box at a nearby location as per the hint. Sent messages to the geocache owner. Tftc On a caching holiday from Mackay. In the search of old caches and ones to fill DT grid spaces. Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment with mackay_geocaching. Have mostly had clear sunny days on our trip.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Out on the caching trail again with alphag_25. Going for some caches today to fill a grid and also to pick up some older caches. Found a couple of bits of this cache separately, have put them back together under a nearby tree and advised CO. No code on the log sheet paper we found so will give it a good guess where we need to go for the final.
RoboticWonder & AdventureGirl found this one pretty easily on Saturday morning. It's in pretty rough shape and needs some attention.
Attacked by mosquitoes. Cache was next to pine tree so it has obviously been moved. Cache signedTFTC
Good find did it in the dark but found it super fast someone bring pen for this one had to use eyeliner
A couple of Kiwis were very nervous about walking into the pines but we got brave and walked to the spot. For some reason we had a bit of trouble finding the hint object but after a few minutes of looking M found the cache. The original log book was still soggy so we were not able to find the required numbers. Not to worry when we went to the next cache in the series Scribbly Gum we realised that there was no way we could complete this series if it involved going bush.On the way home M flicked something off his neck which later landed on my notebook. It was nasty-looking and had wings. I screamed and I actually had the door of the car open. M managed to pull over and the notebook was thrown out. Whatever it was wasn't interested in flying and so I ground it into the ground. We were both so shaken we went back home to safety and a nice calming cup of tea. Still we got a traditional and a small which I needed for this date.
Should have checked the Line bike no go zone, so this was a bit of a slog toward the end! Signed but original log is waterlogged so couldn't get the code TFTC
All good day. After a day of quizzing at the National Quiz Day nearby, I was keen to find at least one cache on the GC before heading home. This area was just as physically impressive as it was the first time I came here for a cache. Its not often I get to walk in a pine forest!Cache was a little elusive in the dusk but I just kept following the arrow and hint until I hit it.TFTC where all is OK with the new log.
That’s for the creation of the Cache. Definitely very fun, be careful with the spider webs lol
After parking the car all we could see were dogs off the leash running everywhere between us and the cache. Not just one little yap dog that is full of confidence behind a fence, but a full army of cujos infected with the zombie virus.
There was a perfectly good enclosed dog area in front of us, but clearly it was only for the protection of small dogs that cause teeth infections in large dogs, because big dogs don’t floss regularly (and small dogs only provide enough sustenance for the worms in a large dog).
It was just a group of about 20 people without about 40 dogs that all seemed to be getting on with one another. They were running for balls then swimming then running again. They were either all young and fit dogs or all their owners run meth labs and their dogs are the ultimate winners.
So we decided to run the gauntlet and walk through the running packs of dogs. We survived although if did remind us to get a rabies shot. Unfortunately someone hasn’t replaced the lid on the cache because it was full of water and the log soaked to a hard crust. We came chasing clues but instead realised we would be begging for answers. tftc

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Crew 153 for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

This weekend, jesswrigley and I had a trip down the Gold Coast, comprised of geocaching Events, a family catchup, a Wave Break Island kayak paddle, and a Nerang mountain bike session ride.
Today, the morning plan was the [Summer Wave (Break) and Paddle Celebration](https://coord.info/GC8ZDPM) Community Celebration Event. A windy and rough paddle, but otherwise an enjoyable island adventure. We took a couple of stops in Labrador and Southport, before catching up with family in Robina. I then managed to duck out for a few hours to Reedy Creek, Burleigh Waters, and Burleigh Heads, attempting to target oldies such as the *Paradise Series*.
This was my final cache find for the day, as I access this cache from the south-east. A nice walk along the paths, and then I went through the low density area taking a beeline for this cache. It took a few minutes looking around the trees, logs and bushes, before finding this cache nicely hidden by natural camouflage. The cache container was in good shape, but the logbook was quite wet and damp. I added an extra sheet of waterproof paper to give this logbook extra life. I also found it quite tough to read the Paradise series clue too, but otherwise it was a nice park with enjoyable scenery. Thanks Crew 153 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Found it but it’s very wet. Unable to sign. No trackable in as listed. needs maintenance.
Soo many spiders ended up giving up because it was getting dark and I couldn’t tell where the spiders were
Found our first geocache! The paper inside is very wet and soggy and it was difficult to read the code for the paradise series. I think we got it! TFTC
Thanks crew 153 for the cache. Bit tricky with all the trees but eventually found it. Signed the log book but its extremely wet. Needs replacing. Nice location.
Paper wet but not in place we thought. So put back where we think it should be
Had us searching a while for this tricky cache and then it ended up being right there the whole time, surprised us we didn’t notice it right away box is very wet, paper damp but still write on able. TFTC!
Found it!
Took a little scrounging but is here, safe and well. Move aside the pine needles. If you've found a tree stump with a triangle marking on it you're very close.

Was nowhere to be found! Not sure if the previous person removed it from the tree but we didn’t leave a pinecone unturned and searched in a 50m radius for quite some time to make sure we didn’t miss anything.
Totally found it. Could find the one yesterday, so finding this one was a nice reward
Great geocache!! Thanks for hiding it. Super good. Log needs replacing though as it is very wet.
Lots of circle work at GZ before finally I was able to claim the smiley.
Thanks to Crew 153 for the fun and the adventure.

GPS led me in circles but thanks to other comments I knew what to look for so it was just a matter of "just keep looking "
