Found with e.gregory1 during a trip from Adelaide to Kulgera via Marree and Coober Pedy, across the Madigan Line in the northern Simpson Desert to Birdsville, and back home via the Birdsville Track. Thanks for the cache oky's mates!
Found on a trip across the northern Simpson Desert with FeatherWaite.
We travelled up the Oodnadatta Track from Marree to William Creek, then out to Coober Pedy and up to Kulgera. From there we headed east to Old Andado and across the Madigan Line to Birdsville, then headed south again via the Birdsville Track.
We had great weather - not too warm, no rain and very little wind. Even the flies weren’t too bad until the last couple of days in the desert. And the track was in good condition compared to the other Simpson Desert crossings I’ve completed over the years, mostly due to the much lower levels of traffic it receives.
As others have noted, it is a trip well worth doing with proper equipment, planning and preparation. We travelled on our own in a single vehicle and were lucky enough not to come across any other people along the Madigan Line. However there are a number of tour operators offering tag-along tours for those who may not wish to attempt it on their own. Which ever way you do it, it will be memorable!
This was a quick find. The cache and contents are in reasonable condition.
Thanks okysmates for the cache.

Heading towards Camp 17 on the Madigan Line, and stopped to find this cache. Fantastic experience travelling through the Simpson. Thanks for placing this cache.
Brad and Janet have finally got the new Big Landy and are on their way on their outback first trip. They have the small house on wheels as well. The itinerary will vary depending on the weather and the condition of the tracks. The planned trip will be Adelaide - Port Augusta - Coober Pedy - William Creek - Oodnadatta - Eringa Waters - My Dare - Old Andado - Madigan line through to Birdsville. Then ideally through to Inamincka via Cordillo Downs - Strezlecki Track - Farina and then south towards home. But only time will tell. And of course along the way there may be a few geocaches found
We had a great time crossing the Desert and were looking forward to checking out the Blaze tree. And of course we had to search for this. The container was a surprise. Not sure how long it will last.
A bit of unlove.

Found yesterday while out on a road trip up the Hay River Track. Cache hiding spot is in good condition as is the container and log. What an amazing part of the world! It’s my first time out here in the desert and I am already making plans to return. TFTC
Tried hunting for a regular and then a kiddo as per comments but couldn’t find it on the ground or up higher. Had 4 people looking and no joy
Found it, I was looking looking in the wrong spot. Regular has indeed been replaced by a micro. Wasn’t sure if there was trackable so I took the Eureka pin and will re-locate it somewhere else
Stopped here during our annual desert trip - 10 border crossings in 14 days .
A significant spot with the blaze tree as we headed West - East across the Madigan Line this year [^].
First cache find in 5 days and another 3 until the next - love these remote ones [^].
TNLNSL.
Thanks Oky's mates.

Spent a fair bit of time here looking for a regular but found a micro after kicking a bit of dirt around.
Cache in good condition and put back in the most likely place.

Over the past few weeks a group of us explored the Simpson Desert traversing along the Rig Road, WAA Line, French Line and the Hay River Track. Wow what an adventure we had out in the desert, except for the flies!
Cache and contents are in good condition and Mrs "T" made a quick find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Spent an extraordinary amount of time searching for this one without success. The Simpson Desert, especially the Madigan Line, is well worth a visit anyway!
Was excited to see such a remote cache when I was downloading caches at home before we left for our trip. Pa was pretty keen for me to grab it too. An easy find which is always pleasing when it is so remote. TFTC TNLN SL
The agony and ecstasy. Knowing there was a cache somewhere here but know idea where it might be , I randomly found it while looking for firewood as we camped the night at camp16. A real stroke of luck. Thx oky's mates for the cache.
Found it again one year later. We finished the bottom part of the Hay river track then finished the Madigan line into Birdsville. Great to have completed these tracks.
Cache is still all good out there
Cache is still all good out there
quick find one year after we found it last while finishing off the madigan line and hay river track
Found at 11:15am today on our way north to Jervois. We camped overnight after the last cache. A lovely sunny day but with a stiff cool breeze. Pristine cache.
While we were there, a group of 8 4WD's from the MacKay Landrover Club passed us heading south. Followed by a group of 6 from Adelaide, a chap on his own, then 2 cars from Rushworth and Claire came in from Madigan's line at tree 15! So a bit like Bourke Street out here!
Perhaps you met Lindsay Bookie at Baton Station...sad to say he died (heart) about Thursday 7th, the funeral was on Saturday 16th, so we just had to drive straight through no-one about really. Hope they're able to keep it going. Apparently they've had no rain there in 5 years.
Anyway, we signed the log and left a badge, thanks for a cache that shows we've been there!

Found at the end of our madigan line adventure then onto batton hill and jervois station
Found it. It's as good as new. Found with Pymie girls. TFTC I left a zip tie and took nothing.
Found what was left of the site. A long with AVRENO we put together a new cache and placed it at the original co-ords. This cache has no pen so bring your own writing stick.
No container found or any bits left in visitors box
We along with the 2n's replaced the original container with new log book and left it at the original co-ords

Didn't have much time, spent 10 mins looking but could not find it. the area we believe was gz did not make sense with the clue. Would have been good to find, but we are unlikely to try again. tftc.

Found on 020709 at 1715 hrs left horse took bundy badge. We all admire the early explorers who traveled into unknown areas. Regards turps2
we called in for another photo shoot at a madigan camp and i snuck away to locate the cache. there have been more finders than internet loggers as plenty of detail in log book. all in pretty good condition as all placed in zip lock pouches under the ice cream container. the log book was too big for any of my boxes so added another zip lock for extra protection and replaced. thanks for the caches on our madigan expedition and on your next visit a new one added about half way accross
Found this after crossing the Madigan Line from Old Andado.I had been here on the way to the Hay River a couple of years earlier but didn't find/log it. The container was ok but the contents was in need of some TLC. I cleaned and dried trinkets. Log book from memory was fine. Thanx
Cache check carried out. The container is in good condition (which is fortunate because I left the replacement container at home >2000 km away). The contents of the container were however a little wet after all the recent rain (in the desert!). Dried the contents out and placed logged book in a zip lock plastic bag. With the increasing popularity of the Hay River run (as evidenced by the now clear track that didn't exist three years ago when this cache was placed) I hope to see more visits logged at this cache.
Found this one after following the track from Crossing Paths. Container was in good condition. Took pouch and left compass. This track is rough but not as rouch as the "track" out to Madigans campsite 13
Thanx
Thanx
This track sure is rough! We made it this far following the Madigan Line. the cache container broke into little pieces as we picked it up. The weather out her is not kind to plastic. The only thing we had spare was an icecream container.
Each person who visits this cache, should take a new conatiner as the plastic does not stand up to the UV and heat very well.

Thanks for an interesting spot

Brought Sika Kitty and Spoonaceous for a trip to the outback, but brought them away again.
