BlacknWhite suggested we do this power trail. We were going to try on push bikes, but my daughter and her partner laughed and said to take the E bike to lessen the chance of a heart attack. Heathcote Rd is far to dangerous for bike riders so I had to put up with the leg cramps from just walking to caches after driving along the trail. Cool to find an Echidna guarding a cache. 8th findHad a great day.TFTC Nana Nel

Reperio 08:47I was headed to Sydney this evening for a 2 day course, and so it gave me a great opportunity to find a few caches along the way. I took in the little detour to do this series, and for the most part of it, all the caches were found, although most had wither wet logs, or needed maintenance in some way. With the series being situated along a busy road with not a lot of room to park in most places, the process was a lot slower than expected. Out doing this power trail with VicRoadnight and MinimumChips, friends from work. I had met MinimumChips years ago, and we had been geocaching together in WA last year. Then I met VicRoadnight over dinner a few weeks ago when I asked if anyone wanted to go out to see the full/super/blood moon/lunar eclipse. We had a great day out together! Finally sitting down to log these caches in August as I travel around the country...

POWER TRAIL DAY! Flying solo while gremlindaddy takes gremlinkids to gymnastics and their dance lessons. Found the swaps but not log. After a rite of passage getting scratched like hell (recommend you don't wear shorts like me!) my brain clicked into gear and I had CIH... well not really as woah... I uncovered an ants nest full of eggs. The GC was nestled safely amongst the eggs. Ewww. Not a fan of creepy crawllies... especially the ones here in Australia managed to retrieve and sign log and put back in its safe spot with its ant guardians. Now that's dedication to the GC trail aye!

Met up with fitzy65 and minniek for a fun day out and a big caching adventure.
A few good safe hides and not many muggles around.

Quick find here today once we got through all the underbrush....parking was a bit precarious though.

20,877. Found during a caching loop from Moss Vale, Wollongong and up to the Sutherland Shire with minniek and our caching Mate from Wagga - Roostaman !!

I mentioned to Roostaman - who was in Moss Vale for a few days caching - that we were heading down Wollongong way for a few specific caches, and we decided to team up again for what turned out to be a pretty epic day. Heading up the highway now and we started the SSFTFH Power Trail. The traffic was picking up now and parking was 'fun' ! Bush-bashed to GZ for the find.

Well after a day at a conference today was my free day to grab a few caches around the Sydney area. My first target was the Sunderland ftf trail and after that the plan was to go through the suburbs grabbing a few caches on the way back to the hotel. Ended up with 73 for the day plus a few dnfs, which is hard work on your own.

Tftc and making my day so enjoyable.

Great concept, such a shame a known busy and dangerous road has been picked! Close to home though, so here we are chasing mystery clues. And not the quick find she was hoping for. I decided to take myself on a little drive along this road studded with caches - I could not belive how busy it was, I had to be very careful pulling off the road and back into traffic. Great set of hides, TFTC!!

Found at 10:27:28 AM: GAFF1 in the company of Alansee.
Took a while to locate this cache as we were in the wrong area - just 2 metres away. When we spotted the larger container than what the cache page said it would be, we were a bit surprised

Did these in the company of pprass. The day started off iffy and steadily went downhill weather wise. We managed 16 of the series before giving it away. The cars and trucks didn'nt help either.

This was the last day of our current geocaching holiday in Australia, and so we couldn't resist the opportunity to make the most of the last few hours we had before heading off to the airport to fly back home to search for the first 26 caches in this series. It was a crazy road to cache on with the traffic being so busy and fast, and so with the close spacing of the caches it really felt like playing dodgems as well as geocaching! This was a nice quick find of this very nice cache. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and a favourite point awarded. Greetings from Zimbabwe

Tackled the 'Sutherland Shire FTF Hounds' powertrail today.

Pros:
Variety (users and containers)
Coordinates (pretty accurate)
Great to see the regeneration here after the fires!

Cons:
Dangerous road (100km/h, high traffic area, limited shoulder space)
Pollution (rubbish and car parts)

We were stopped by the Australian Federal Police, but after explaining what Geocaching is, they let us go on to continue the rest of the trail.

I did try to prove the CO wrong as I was drawn closer and closer to where I thought the cache should be. I acted this way, even after finding a crucial bit of info. Nope, I was foolishly determined to prove the CO wrong. This thought process never works!
Using another method of cache detection, I walked back to my car for the air-conditioning and channeled my "inner Nel" and asked myself "where would she place the cache"? With no word of a lie, I walked away from my car and I had CIH.
GZ is about 30m north from the fatal car accident site last Thursday. RIP Constable Timothy Proctor.

With 30 in the FTF series, it was time to give this trail a crack. I had Team MavEtJu with me to lend another pair of eyes and hands and we made it from 30 to 1 in 3hr 15min. There were a few uncomfortably-close-to-speeding-traffic moments which does detract from the journey but it’s not really a park and grab scenario either.

Super cute and clever setup, quite unexpected and a pleasant surprise.

Decided to spend the Sunday out finding some caches, and the eye fell on this powertrail down south. Headed out and started the search. However, after ten finds we gave up, basically due to two things: The heavy traffic along the road we had to follow, and the copious amount of rubbish everywhere. We are sorry, but we did not enjoy these caches. Just to clarify; the caches themselves were of excellent quality, well designed and varied and mostly well stocked. The idea about FTF finders building the trail themselves is also a good one, but the environment put us off.

#2275 walked from Sutherland Shire FTF Hounds #10 on the walk thinking about the ultimate hiding place for the log. Approaching GZ I spotted the cache & spent a little while going through the swag then found the log

With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache Nana Nel

**The Cache**
I'm giving this favourite - fantastic and sneeky!! Saw this fantastic cache when Hubz brought it back to the car. Oh that's not it I said to hubz and out we went to investigate nearby. I even looked at some of the logs we began looking in the trees. We were not able to see it and I was about to dismiss a find on it when I had an idea. That idea paid off and we had CIH. You got us a beauty with this hide. SL and returned cache to its hide'y hole. I noticed how pongy it is along this road today, I thought there must be a tip nearby.

**The Day**
Woke up this morning bright and early and wondered what to do today - ah yes, I'll go geocaching, and why not visit *Seemyshells* hotel and drop off some trackables and run the **Sutherland Shire FTF Hound(s) Track**, so I bounced out of bed and looked at the sky, very foggy and overcast looking, but I heard the sun was going to shine, and shine it did.
Gorgeous day and quite warm while on the trail. Had four left to find, and desperately wanted to knock them off, but I know there will be more caches coming out and after missing this find I figured the remainder didn't matter - next time will do. Had to cut the day short anyway and urgently get home. OCW *DustyJapserJet*. Had a fantastic day !!! but when don't I when I'm out caching.

Today marks 8 years since I started caching and I decided to mark the event by finding 8 of the FTF Hounds Series caches about 16,000 km from Wien (Vienna) in Austria where I made my first find GCPPBQ - Alte Lasten (Old loads) N 48° 13.375 E 016° 24.622.
I walked in the wrong way and had to Bush bash a bit before reaching GZ. Located along the side of a very active road.
Visited a group of trackables.

Already to go,

Today I check this cache, it was not affected by the recent bush fires as Seemyshell 's believed. All good ready to found.

Due to the recent bushfires I can't check to see if the cache survived.

I had a big day of caching plan up north at the mysteries for the OZ GEOMUSTER but it was going to be far to hot and I wake up exhausted from hard week at work so I took off south from home. I started with some on the Alford Point bridge and have worked my way around to here number 1 on the power trail. I'm after numbers because I want my 2000th find to be the muster at Easter. TFTC
I just loved all these caches they were different and interesting to find thanks to all the wonderful Cachers who have placed them. One thing I hate this type of environment and on a hot day I was even more scared. But all was good.

WaywardWoman and I both had a free day so decided to head to see how many of the power trail we could do. We were pleased we could park within walking distance of them so were able to complete all that were published today. After sliding down a small embankment on pine needles on an earlier cache I let WaywardWoman head to GZ while I watched from nearby. A quick find and she was able to sign the log. Cute cache.
