Logs
Out and about this morning. Time for a quick detour. This one took a little searching as its no longer attached to anything. Returned to the base and covered with a rock. Thanks 0B80B8#5541Logged using Cachly.
I am taking advantage of an extra long weekend to visit my parents, up north, for a couple of days. I decided to take a detour and find a couple of caches along this road. After finding the nearby multi it was off to this ground zero. I parked up pretty close to ground zero and got to searching. Quickly found in the second spot I checked. The lake wasn't looking so well maintained today. Cheers for the cache placement!
Called in tonight and replaced log with some WITR paper and reattached to cable tie. Please don't pull on it too hard though.
I was barking up the wrong tree again. Fold the wet log which funnily wasn't a timber log but could have been made out of wood.
After some needless climbing we found it. Log is all wet unfortunately. TFTC
A nice easy find on the way home from town after completing the goatzee track
Replaced log today with some write in the rain type paper, so s/be good for a while now. When replacing, please put the rolled log in the lid first, and then screw on the base. Thx
Oh yeah it is easy haha - looks deceiving with the gorse but thankfully it’s in the clear of that and gorse is dying
Needs new log as it’s all wet

Easy find while caching in this area today.
On a caching holiday up here in Whangarei!
Thanks for cutting the gorse back.
Very dry in the " lake" today.

1021. 3:57 pm. Lovely spot and a bit of land for sale around the "lake". TFTC(that fills in another dot day).
Checked in tonight and did some severe pruning on the gorse that has grown since placement. Should be all good now for some time.
Must have been a drier winter than usual as the lake level is right down at present and the island is no longer an island..!!

Searched for about 15 minutes and so happy to find my first find! It’s in a very good hiding place. Try not to get pricked by the gorse.
HotRodPete and Liz headed out after work on a nice fine evening for a bit of a walk to get some exercise along with the chance to log a few cache finds.
Never been to the end of this road before so the view far out west on a pleasant evening was worth the visit. We had a talk about where we would build if we were in the market for the 39 acres that was advertised on the sign overlooking the lake, However neither of us want to be "weekend" farmers so off we went cache hunting.
The cache was a quick find and we signed the normal log rather than the waterproof paper log as our pen decided it didn't want to write on the slick waterproof paper.

I was down visiting friends today and had a bit of time to fill in so we headed into town. We grabbed this on the way. The kids were delighted to see a lovely frog nearby. An easy find, thanks
Found it easy. Signing the wax paper was different story. No pen in our arsenal would work. Ended up putting a new log sheet in for others that have same prob.
FTF saw this up last night after a late walk up parahaki and decided to go the FTF in the morning. Got to GZ and was looking everywhere I thought it could be until I finally found it. Nice lake as well. Thanks for bringing me and for placing a cache.
(2738)Out doing a little after work caching. Has been years since I was up this road. Nice quick find. TFTC
