We were on a walk around Chania while on an excursion from the Oosterdam and our route took us to the area of this cache. We found the narrow pathway and, undaunted, we passed through the gate and headed to the cache.

it was a quick find in the correct place.

The views were, indeed, great from up here.

I think the ratings are confused here. Once at GZ, the difficulty of the find was low. All that was required was experienced geo-senses. However, getting there was the challenge, not just by finding the way but by the terrain which needed to be crossed. Nevertheless, I did eventually get there, while leaving the other half in a marina side cafe to finish the wine. I said I would be back in a few minutes while within the hour was closer to the actual time. No problem, I ordered more wine.

Found, duly logged, and I was not the first there today.
What a view! But caching regularly provides the path to places one would never ever find without another reason.
Everything is OK in the box. Took nothing; left nothing.

This is our first cache on Crete. We were prepared by looking at Google Earth, so we could find the way up.
The cache is in good condition, but there were no trackabeles. We therefore dropped the TB Playmobil Stella. Please take good care of her.

Today we did a nice sightseeing tour to Chania. When leaving the main roads at the harbour which are full of shops and tourists, this is really a lovely city. During our stay we came to this secret place where we found the box easily.

Lusebrink and I decided to look after this one after we visited the old town.
We took the suggested route and found all gates open. Great place and a spectacular view to the site. It will not be the same when restoration has been finished.
Right now it looks as if it will never continued.

Favorit point for this remarkable site.

Schleimpilz and I explored Chania today.
After some sightseeing, lunchbreak and shopping we visited this special location. Looked like a meadow full of wild flowers between the stones. Nice place, nice view. Thanks for sharing that somehow lost but also lovely spot!

Wo war das ein schwieriger Weg,aber führte zum Ziel. Wir hatten auf unserer Rundreise etwas Freizeit und die wurde natürlich zum Cachen benutzt.

Nun zum 2.Mal dagewesen: Beim ersten Mal von der anderen Seite den Punkt erreicht, aber nichts gefunden, beim zweiten Mal vom Startpunkt begonnen, dann versperrte ein abgeschlossenes Tor den Weg und zwei Hunde kamen angerannt und bellten böse. Kein schönes Gebiet zum Suchen.


Now for the 2.time searching there: First time reaching the Point from the other side but didn't find, second time starting from the Startpoint there was a big closed gate in the way and two dog came running and bark angrily. Not a nice place for searching.

I'm in Chania third time and I'm glad for every new cache there. This cache took some more time while I finally found it. The gates were closed but I found possible geotruck and finally got it.
Perfect cache coordinates and given hint, and very reliable terrain difficulty according to given stars.
Unfortunately, on the way from the cache I met brown dog which tried to bite in my legs [b)]

After two wonderful weeks in Paleochora we returned today to Chania. We walked away from the tourist masses up to Santa Caterina and for a spectacular sunset. Thank you for the cache which the junior cachers easily found. Best wishes. chfalke.

Nice cache, could class as medium size

Not only enjoyed the view and the cats (a bonus was whilst making our donation we discovered delicious home-made raki!) and also enjoyed quaint narrow streets leading back to the harbour, missed on our visit two days earlier! TFTC.

Very nice view. Without this cache we would never have found this beautiful place.

We visited Chania today. After a very tasty lunch at the harbor we dicovered the old town and found this cache. A very nice view to the ruins and the sea.
