Caching around Canberra area for a while. TFTC.
Last cache for the mountain today. Great series.

#1 for today on our first visit to Jerrabomberra. This was a quick find to mark the start of our warm up for the nearby park run. Good hint and good coords. Bit too cool for snakes today (so there were none fortunately) but plenty of spiders and arachnid offspring at GZ.

In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

Few kids playing around on the bike trails at first so I went for a walk to find some other caches.
On my way back down I managed to find it laying on the floor in the area. I put it back where I think it was meant to be hidden.

Nice area. Didn't see any snakes, but scared quite a few kangaroos scrabbling around over the gravel.

Found on an overcast, slightly drizzling Sunday after visiting The Scar small dog park with my trusty companion, Sif. There wasn’t a soul around and thankfully no snakes spotted.
Time for the muddy Sif to have a bath.
Thanks for the cache and being understanding about the pen, ZimbaW!

Grabbed this on a rainy day as we’re in Canberra for the day. No dogs here today. TFTc
Decided from the outset to have a relatively chill and relaxing day today, but nonetheless decided to walk up this mountain in the morning to exert most of my energy for today. It was really cool this morning (temperature wise), so it made for a much easier trek up and down the mountain and also made it really lovely - it's always great returning here, it's a great area. Had fun meandering through the BMX track after leaving the mountain. A quick find at GZ. TFTC ZimbaW - and huge thanks for a very enjoyable miniseries!
I was out and about after work doing shopping and other things. I was looking to visit at least one cache, and although this was not the closest one, it was a spot I had skipped past last week and wanted to visit. There were a few people talking in the dog yards, but over near GZ all was peaceful and quiet. I found the cache without any problems and headed on to my next chore.
Thanks.

I noticed this was replaced, so made a detour to grab this. A quick find. TFTC and the prompt maintenance.

Thankfully a cooler afternoon, so I took the opportunity to grab the caches on Mt Jerrabomberra. This one was too elusive - I suspect it is missing (or I was too cache blind).

Went straight to the cache, last one for the day, so back to the car past all the barking dogs in the dog park. Nice walk, all my puff came back as soon as we started downhill, and we made it home well before the hail started
A quick night time park, short walk and grab. The young couple parked in the car park were not overly frilled with me parking next to them. Ahh memories of being a teenager. Thanks ZimbaW.
Brrr that wind was icy today. Pity the poor pups out there without jackets.... TFTC
Out on a brisk day I found this quickly in good condition. Great dog park. Tftc
Returned from a moring caching, to grab some food, then we wanted to get out and see if we could finish of the Queanbeyan parks series. Unfortunately we were a bit dissorganised, I had a flat GPS from the mornings caching, using the phone with mixed gps zeroing, others had mixed info accross devices, but we still managed to grab a few more smileys. Thanks Happy Feet for driving me and Di Morgan for these.

Attending the Clear Water 2019 mega this Easter in Queanbeyan. Found with a group catchers and logged as "Lucky9" Thanks for placing it ZimbaW
There were kids using the bike park so we looked a bit odd logging this find but we used the safety in numbers approach. We logged as lucky9 during the MEGA to save time and log space. Thanks for the cache.

Flying into ACT for the ClearWaters event, and grabbed this cache while in and around the event.

An opportunistic find at 1225 in the company of SirJ-Oz, after picking up the multi.
This was a nice quick find, although not at the spot I was predicting as we approached. This ticks off one more of the Mt Jerra dog series that I started - jeez, over a year ago!
Thanks for the cache ZimbaW - hopefully i won’t take so long to get to the rest of them!

Find #4207. Found @ 12:26 with AmethystPig.
This was a bit of an opportunistic find as we were here to gather a multi, but this was close to where we parked.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.

I decided to do these after an afternoon of cleaning up the lab caches. I like the concept here and the views from GZ are fantastic.

On the mountain bike today,
so Mt Jerrabomberra seemed a good spot to head for
Before I had even started the climb,
this cache popped up
Easy find
Bring on the ascent !! [:o)]

In town for the mega and visiting a girlfriend in North Terrace and I was telling her about geocaching. She was excited to go find a few, so off we went walking and and found this one. Lots of dogs at the dog park. I was able to easily find this one.

I was in Queanbeyan with my boyfriends family, an not having cached before, I signed some logs of the caches I found with XC, until I came up with my caching name.
I had lots of fun, met some nice people and found some great hides.
Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.

Today we moved into the Queanbeyan Showgrounds, so much excitement in the air. Everybody looking forward to the Mega event.
After lunch I travelled with Happy Feet to find a few caches & an area for a L driver to practise.
Its great to catch up with others that we had not seen since a previous

In Queanbeyan to attend the Mega. So great to get here early to spend time catching up with some many familiar faces. Always taking the time to grab a cache, when the opportunity allowed it.
This afternoon we were out with Di Morgan and newbie who signed the logs at XC. Picked up some nice hides in some out of the way places.
Wondered into GZ where a quick find was made. No snakes about today.
Thanks for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play

Trying to clear out some caches in the Queanbeyan region before the big mega hits town, and today Mount Jerrabomberra seemed like a good choice. Coming from north-side I have never visited this area before, and was quite impressed with the size of this hill!
Not a lot of finds on some of the caches in this series despite being out for a while now, crazy to think how much the location and access of a cache has such an impact on finds, with a cache I placed only 2 months ago already having double the amount! People should really get out here and explore this area, I doubt a lot of Canberrans have been here before, Mt Ainslie and Black Mountain are overrated!
Thanks for the series of caches ZimbaW, all caches were quickly found, smartly hidden, suitable containers and all close to paths. A solid series!

Needing a cache today so we went to the dog park and a cache. Great day to be out. Cheers
17,545. Did the loop today for these lovely caches.
I've been eyeing off this series for ages, and wanting a few caches today for my 20/20 Calendar I ventured into struggle town to do the walk. Parking at the Dog zone I headed out for the loop. Once at this GZ it was a quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed on up to the next one.
Thanks ZimbaW !!

Wondering around, the Matetrix at Czech class, not so aimlessly, collecting a few more of strugletown's finest. Never been up here before, I will return. TNLNSL TFTC
Went for a nice afternoon walk around, up and over the hill. Started off hot and steamy, then got some rain before clearing on my return. This one found quickly and all OK.
Thanks,
Thanks,
Quick find before walk up the mountain. Spider guarding the cache but managed to extract without disturbing her. Thanks.
A great second day of caching in the ACT and Queanbeyan. Today not so much numbers, but lots of fun. After a few local caches in Queanbeyan it was of into the beautiful Molonglo george and then to the event in Queanbeyan before doing the long drive home.

Great short walk with Takibi this afternoon on a loop around the mound. Final one for the afternoon which we thought may cause issues due to the team of muggles encamped near-by but they seemed otherwise occupied so a quick palm and walk to somewhere shady for a drink, a sign and a sneaky return.
TFTC. Out for a walk around Mt. Jerra and thought I would finally grab some caches
Bought the geohounds up for a run and ducked off for a quick find... pen decided not to work... I'll be back to sign TFTC
It doesn't take long for nature to take over the camouflage in these sort of hides. I actually missed it on the first try and got it on the way back. New area for me - thanks for bringing me here. An excellent use of degraded wasteland and plenty of happy people and dogs making use of it.
Sunday 17 December 2017 - a very hot Summer's day in the low 30s with a brilliant blue sky and very little breeze to cool the sweaty body. Rode bike, then walked just short of 6km up, down and around the mountain Jerra' to find 8 from 8 caches today (7 trads, 1 multi). Good to have a canopy above during some of the walk to shade the head from the searing sun. Saw just one large roo as everybody and everything else sensibly stayed home or was hidden from the heat of the day.
This cache was nicely concealed. Love it when there's no chock scratching - quick and easy find. Thx p2p. TFTC ZimbaW.

I'm out with my mate Knightech doing a couple of caches on our way out to RoddyC's event. We found a place to park, and had an easy stroll over to GZ, where the cache was quickly located. No GeoSchnauzers today.
Love dogs. And geocaching. Thanks, ZimbaW.

Plenty of muggle bikers around this afternoon but nobody was paying any attention to GZ, so I was able to make a quick find. TFTC ZimbaW
