Hmm gone again.... this is the second time this one has walked in such a short period. Might need to rethink this one, maybe a puzzle is needed here to prevent it walking so easily.
NEEDS MAINTENANCE. Had a good look, and brought a tall person with me. No sign of a cache anywhere in the vicinity of GZ.
Pretty sure this has been muggled so could you please check on it for other geocachers
Had a couple of days in Yass for an Emergency Management course so whenever there was some free time I headed out to grab some of the local caches.
This was my first stop and after a previous DNF here I was optimistic of finally getting this one but alas another DNF on this cache for me

Stopped for a stretch as I passed by on the way from Sydney to Wangaratta. Of course there was a cache reason to stop as well. Spotted as I walk to GZ and I could reach it without tools. Signed log and replaced as found. tftc
This was my second visit to this cache. Last time it was missing. This time it was an easy find as the cache could be seen from the car.

Needing to do events to qualify for a challenge cache we signed while overseas we decided to make plans to head to the Jugiong event for a drive and collect caches along the way. Our plans were changed when one of our fur kids got sick. So the call went through to Rapidlywild to see if she wanted to come along for the drive as one of us was needed at home.
With the CO as it needed replacing.
TFTC Rapidlywild and thanks for the company and laughs.

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
If you require more time please be sure to **post a note** (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date, if you do not then you cache may be archived without further note from a reviewer. Caches archived due to lack of maintenance are no longer unarchived and you will need to submit a replacement as a new cache.

A big day driving south from Lorne, NSW to Yass. We had hoped to stay in Goulburn but the entire town was booked out, as was much of the surrounding area. A huge horse event and a holy retreat meant no accommodation for miles.
A tiring drive with only 2 finds and 2 DNF's until we reached Yass. After dinner we rushed around in the dark and gathered a few more.
DNF - adding my name to the few DNF's already here. Another time perhaps.

Day seven of our quick trip north. BettyBoo3747 and I spent today travelling from Lorne to Yass. Not a lot of caches, just a few on the highway, the a quick half dozen after dinner in Yass.
Lots of possibilities for a hide here, but no cache did we find in any we checked.
Thanks, Robmc.

Loci612 and I searched for a bit at this cache but with low light and a quoter of caches to find sadly this was a the for us.
Nope, had no luck here either
Not too many options around GZ, so cleared the possibilites out fairly quickly, and given it is a small size, that rules out any super sneaky and crazy hides
Oh well, next time!
Thanks!!

We had no luck here as we headed south. Searched the likely spots before moving on. Maybe next time.
Pit stop on way south and nice to find a cache here. All us well. With Eliox867, CLG2017.
For the second year in a row, we’re headed off to the Big Red Bash! Hopefully going to grab some caches along the way, but it will depend on where we stop and phone signal
First cache for the trip
Made a quick pit stop, and while Bear was using the facilities, I checked to see if there was a cache at this rest stop. Yep, I was in luck!!! Soon had cache in sight, but had to wait for Bear to do the actual grab.

This one was signed on day 11 of my mega road trip to Morisset and back. After a big day yesterday with GT37 and P4506, we decided a hotel for the night may be a great idea.
Another stop in a vein attempt to collect as many NSW LGA's as possible.
Many thanks to Rapidlywild for the cache. TNLN.

Easter caching holiday with +Wife.
It has been a big weekend+.
Leaving Melbourne at midnight on Wednesday we drove night and day to reach Morisset by 2:30 Thursday afternoon.
With no sleep since Tuesday night we struggled for 2 1/2 hours and finally had our camp set up for the Oz Geo Muster 2018 MEGA event.
A fantastic adventure.
Now on our way home via Frog Hollow and Lane Cove, I managed to get us lost in Sydney.
Two smart phones and three GPSr units still didn't help.
Eventually we were headed south and did not stop until we reached this spot.
Time to take a break, stretch the legs and find a cache.
Thanks for the cache Rapidlywild.

The description is right! A cache was needed here and I am very thankful for this cache. Also nice to see a familiar name on the log before me! Thanks for the cache!
On our way home after 2 weeks in Sydney, it is 3.20 am and time for a cache break. Nice find TFTC
A nice easy find today while stopping here to have lunch. Last time through just before Christmas the local RFS had a SRS BBQ at GZ. Nice to stop here again, thanks.
Stopped off for a quick find on the way down to Wodonga. This is certainly a well-appointed rest stop. TFTC!
TFTC had a test stop and at the last minute checked to see if there were any here. And found.DH was getting impatient. Lol.

I had the strangest urge last night to go for a long caching road trip this weekend. As soon as I woke up this morning I packed the necessities and prepared a coffee before heading to Wagga Wagga.
I've only cached there once before, but with others who had already poached most of the area. This time I got to choose!
However the long drive lead me by others which I had to sparingly choose only a few as it delayed my arrival to my destination.
A long day that I capped my find total at 100 finds. Tommorow I hope to get just as many on the way home.
Thanks for the caches.

Tftc. Perfect placement for the cache, as we’d decided to stop here for lunch. Practically sat beside it.
#7823 - 14:50; Headed out with andrewbt and Sol de lune on a GCA 'States of the Nation' mission across the border into New South Wales to plunder some treasure which has recently appeared around Mt Fairy. The plan was hatched with abt at a recent event and after the return of Sdl from OS the finer details all came together and today was settled on to head off on the scavenge. After that mission was completed, we took the long way home along the Hume and Barton Highways, stopping off for a few GC caches along the way. Pulled into the rest stop and I must say I was surprised at its size and the facilities available. I guess it can't be seen from the highway, so I had spotted it on previous trips past. Once at GZ, Sdl soon had the cache in hand and the log was signed. TFTC Rapidlywild
Out with LuckyL10n and AndrewBT on a run around the area and this was our next GC find. No problems with the find and the log was soon signed.

Quick find en route to Tumut from Sydney. A few muggles but still able to access the cache OK. Beware of wasp nest close by! TFTC
Found it.
Having found 99% of caches within a 50km radius of goulburn i ventured out to try and fill the remaining unfound caches and a few extras along the way.
From here on out i have to travel to the ACT and southern highlands and beyond for caching grounds but its all about the journey right?
Thoroughly enjoyed the days trek and a full tank of fuel. No snakes luckily today.

Heading home to Canberra from Day 2 of a 5 day orienteering carnival in the Southern Highlands. Today's event was at Canyonleigh. My mission on the way home was to clean out as much of Goulburn as possible and the caches between Goulburn and Yass. Muggle free. Easily found. TFTC.

Wondering back home after the Alexandra event. 2859 so far for us. Thanks for placing this cache Rapidlywild, without cachers like you we wouldn't have a hobby. Signed log. took nothing, left nothing. Please take a bow. we did many caches today and most if not all were in good condition and actually there. We cache in a lot of country towns, the caches on the open roads are usually there but the town ones are a mixed bag. The cache owners around here take a bow. really well done.
Thought we found this one before. Knew exactly where to look. Nice rest area appreciated on our long drive. TFTC.

We had detoured off our direct route to find a few caches on the back road. After I pulled back on to the highway, I looked in my mirror & wondered if the car I could see coming up behind me was the Canary Mobile. Just I was asking bikerbuddy, he got a text to confirm it. So we all pulled in to this rest stop to say hello & firm up our plans for the rest of the day. The guys talked while I got to work & found the cache.
Thanks

We were on our way to Victoria for the Alexandra Mega Event with plans to meet Canary somewhere near Wagga. However, we'd also taken the time for a short detour for a few caches at Gunning. When we pulled back on the highway I received a message that Canary was driving behind us, purely by chance. So when we turned in to find this cache he followed us. We parked and did the short walk to find this one, and then continued on our trip with Canary. Thanks
Eighth find on Day One of our four day trip to the Mega at Alexandra.
A short distance before this one was saw bikerbuddy and Toriaz entering the highway. So, we pulled over here to catch up and travel together for a while. Nice and quick.

I don't get to drive this section of the Hume very often so it was nice to head out today and grab some caches along here. Pulled into the massive rest area which thankfully was nearly empty today. A quick search revealed the bold hide ! Signed the log, replaced the cache, and headed off to the next one.

This is our fourth trip to the northern island this year. The first three were primarily for family events but with some opportunities to do some caching along the way. The fourth trip is different as caching is our focus. After getting off The Spirit of Tasmania we are heading north to cache at Wangaratta and then Yass before heading into the ACT and Queanbeyan for a week. After that we will travel to Jindabyne for a few days with summiting Mount Kosciuszko being our main target for this part of our trip. Then we will visit Cooma and Tumut before heading back down the track through Wangaratta and Mansfield as we make our way to Alexandra for the MEGA. After the weekend we will continue to make our way south and back onto the Spirit of Tasmania for the “drive” across Bass Strait. We are really looking forward to three weeks of intense caching in great areas and, hopefully, catching up with some geocachers in each of the areas we will visit.
We used the first two days of our trip to travel from Melbourne to Goulburn, caching along the way. For most of the travel we focused on caches on the north bound side of the Hume Freeway. We spent a few hours between Wangaratta and Beechworth on the rail trails – we try to find a number of caches in this caching mecca each time we come through the area. We then spent today working from Goulburn back to Yass finding caches on the south bound side of the highway. We then cached around the Murrumbateman area before heading back to Goulburn for the night. Although there were a few light showers, they didn’t interfere with or enjoyment today.
We arrived here at about 8:50am and were surprised to find the area muggle free. Accurate coordinates, the hint and a logical hide led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Rapidlywild for the cache.
***** We are currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. On 1 September 2017 our average was 86 which seems close to the 100 target. However given that we have found so many GC caches, we have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get our average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that we can strive to attain this challenge. After 126 caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 89.2. Progress is being made but there is still a long way before we achieve our goal.*****

STF by meer minutes. Just picked up nibletricecakes to do some maintenance on caches in town when we got the notification of a new cache 'nearby'. Decided to ditch the maintenance and try for a FTF. Once at GZ we were greeted by Team Wallace who had already found and signed the log
Ahhh they beat us by 3mins!!
Minniek and I had spent all morning deciding how to cache our day. Finally we agreed on a local maintenance run to leave plenty of time before this evenings event. As I climb into her car the phone dings "first to find on offer" - only 53kms away.. we um.. we argh.. we commit. Completely abandoning our local maintenance plans. Half way there another cache goes live - the dilemma!! Sidetrack and get the new one and then head on, or plough on through. We decide to stick to our course and arrive to find a casual Teamwallace finishing the signing duties. Sigh. Congratulations guys. A sad STF for us.
