Very well hidden. Had our heads scratching for a while on this one. Kudos to Expnz for the find
It took us a while and had to return. Noticed something out of place we had already checked and there it was. Great camo. Tftc
I was procrastinating some chores when a message came through from Mrs NZT suggesting a trip to this area with a meeting time at parking spot in 40mins....well of course I'm in!! Laval and one of the geo-hounds joined me too as did quite a few of the regular Team SEAC members. Amazing spontaneous adventure!!This one took a little while to find but its right there in plain sight, you just have to be at the right angle. Thanks for the cache.
After 2 full days of geocaching this long weekend, today was a day to get some other domestic jobs done - or so we thought. But then Mrs NZT sent a group message as they had tried the multi nearby previously and they thought they might be more successful finding a solution with more of the crew there - and how could we miss out on that action! Less than an hour later we had quite a group - NZT, Keylev, NurseDr, laval. and us.After solving the first part of the multi, we headed here to help tidy up the area. Much joking was done about the bolts, after the Northland pylon falling over earlier in the week. Mr HeMaLuDy made the find in a place that had been previously searched by at least 2 others.
Out for a mornings stroll with geodog and himself. Then the call came out from Team SEAC for a nearby multi and we were off! No plans for a day long mission but it seems thats what weve done. TFTC
Great cache, yes I was looking for something like that, havent given a favourite in a while but this deserves it. Sorry the rules have changed in the last few years. I have not played for a while, it did not used to be only premium members
M24: me and m14 came here earlier last year to no success. This time, we wanted to redeem ourselves. After a bit more searching, I noticed something that looked out of place and oh my goodness, there it was! Finally! Nice challenging cache, log all good and signed here. FP given. TFTC.
Nearly gave up....but didn't. Re-read info & then yes there it is. TFTC A fav point from us.
Back for a very short stop and there were two caches I never got back to, this one and another nearby.
So after a nearby walk at the bridge, I decided we needed to get them before we leave NZ.
Quick run over here and since I chatted with the CO after my last attempt ages ago, I was better prepared for the search.
This time I found it pretty quickly and have to say it’s a really good hide!
Glad to grab it before I go, thanks for the fun!

This was my second time trying to find the cache and this time I succeeded!!! Yippie.
Great hide. Well made. So very sneaky and smart.
I had passed and examined the cache so many times while orbiting GZ, I just couldn't seem to find the right spot to make the twist...
FP from me

Searched around the obvious but no joy. Maybe I should have expanded my search further out but didn't have time.
Hmm couldn't see anything of interest although tried lots of things! Nice e hide hole but nothing there. Sent pic to CO in case that's where it was?
Heading back from Manukau to the mighty Onehunga with Mini McArgister and thought we could pop in and have a go at what looked like a tricksy hide. I had a couple of ideas of what it could be and on the fourth attempt out of four possibilities, I was proven right, even though Mini said she’d checked that! Afterwards we popped back along to the nearby field puzzle. Mini had been with me as first on the scene for that one, but we hadn’t been able to solve it, so I brought her back to show her it’s impressive solution, now that I know! Thanks for the memory lane cache with a twist!
After being perplexed at the nearby Multi, I headed here hopeful of a Q E F! Ha, no chance. Circled the host item a number of times, never really sure what I sought and checking previous logs. One led me adrift a little, like your 'raft'?, with mentions of wet feet. However another thorough check had me hands on and finding the cache. Log took a few moments to extract, signed and replaced with care and on to the next along this lovely quiet walkway.
Exciting day today, mrs c is off down to Manawatu to help with childcare whilst our daughter goes in to have her second child, our 15th grandchild. That means another ? is for ?????? traditional cache to place, and I'm already due to place the 14th in the series, R is for Rory. Anyway, trips across the border and down country usually mean an early start and mrs c was out the door at 0430, with me happy to be out the door a little later at 0515 and an eye on the Mangere bridge/Favona area. Not a huge number of finds but a few anyway, and a tide dependent Earthcache thrown in the mix, thanks all COs for their efforts. Back home for 0730, breakfast and get online for work. Winner!

In line with the NZ Geocache Reviewers guidance on what Covid Level 3, Part 1 looks like, geocaching is permitted but not events or any new listings. It seems the NZ Covid website has failed to maintain pace with Lockdown level amendments and changes and is still lumping Geocaching in with Orienteering and other gathering type activities. Link from Facebook; https://www.facebook.com/NZGeocachingReviewers/
We are disabling our caches until the level 4 lockdown period for the Covid virus is finished. Please do your part to stop the spread and refrain from geocaching during this time. Stay safe & healthy all!
Didn’t find this time but there is a gap where it could have been, will monitor
Last find of Easter with teo. Had us scratching our heads for a bit but eventually I found it. Very clever hide. Thanks
I tried, I really did! But I couldn’t find this cache in the end...
Will monitor...

I have looked for this one previously without sucess. Must be my lucky day today. Great camo. A fav from me. Thanks for hiding Bennett24.
Either too well camouflaged for me, or gone. I saw a place where it would fit in very well, though...
Sorry for the late log.Decided to come and check out this cache today. When we arrived at GZ we had a good idea what we were looking for but this didn’t mean it was too easy for us.We searched a few places before finally finding this well cameoed cache. Thanks for this clever hide we have enjoyed our walk out this way this morning.
With a milestone cache number approaching and an intended cache for this milestone we needed a few caches to get us closer to our target so today we took to our bikes and did a mopping up run.
OOOO NO FOUR Choices. Two of which were flooded with high tide. We checked all 4 possibilities and of course Mr NZT was ordered to get his feet wet. We wandered around and around and in the end it was Mrs NZTs sharp eyes that made the find.
VERY VERY clever and gets a fav point from us.

Awesome! A more inexperienced me would never have even looked for this in the right place. I had the right idea initially and it only took a few minutes to hone in on the correct type of hide and then the location. Really nice walk out this way. Definitely a FP for trickiness!
When I first came along here this afternoon, there was a bloke moving containers around with a fork hoist, so I carried on to do the great multi further along. In the end I had to come back twice before he had finally finished and I had the place to myself. I thought I had an idea what to look for, but I still needed a nudge from a PAF before I tracked this tricky one down, very clever. Had a bit of trouble getting my pen to work on the waterproof log, so have added a photo as well, TFTC
Nicely hidden, could take awhile to find, but TWS soon found it, and with his TOOL was able to wrangle the log from the caches grasp
With rebel98, TWS and gorby
We had some time to spare, so came to find the closest traditional cache. Lets say this one was much easier to find than the other.
Thanks for the history and the hide Bennett24, like what you have done here

Had us going for a while but once my engineering skills kicked in, bingo, signed and returned with ABCDF4.
Today was our first down for caching after lock down.
Teamed up with a few regulars from team BOP and Auckland was the dedicated search area with a few others on the way.
Good day in all and target completed. SLTFTC

With (Mr) Davidson clan, Gap (of Fap and Gap), and McJandals... After 58 days of unbroken lockdown inactivity, the step down to Level 2 gave us the freedom to make caching plans. Our local geomap gave us little joy, so we needed to look further afield, and this quickly morphed into an epic expedition...
We were on the trail of the nearby multi, and our misfire-miscalculation gave us room to find a few traditional caches... We almost gave this one away because of workmen on site. The cache was a quick find for us, and we figured it was camouflaged well enough to be muggle proof. Thanks Bennett24 and TFTC.

Quick find here on our way to Auckland after 7 or 8 weeks of lockdown . So good to be out caching again. Quick find here. Lucky though as it's very well camouflaged
Great to get out and about today and away from all the covid talk. On a spur of the moment roadie after weeks of lockdown Cheers
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

All good to go again now we are in level 2. Please remember to stay safe and practice safe caching.

New path has been opened and cache has been checked - all okay here and waiting to the next finder.
Checked again, still off limits due to construction. Should be available soon. Thanks for your patience
Checked again, they seem to be doing the whole path way in one go instead of a section at a time. Concrete is now laid in the area but think it will be some time still before this area is available again. Cache will be secure in its position.
Checked again yesterday, still fenced off for track construction. May be a while before it is available again but cache will be secure in its location.
Called by to check this one today and found the area is fenced off as they are building a new pathway along here. May be out of action for a few months by looks of what they are doing. Will check again in January when we are back from overseas.
took a short look but got the job done , too many mangroves around the harbour now blocking the sea view.
Surprised ourselves here with Scotty making fairly quick work of finding the hide. No previous visits and no PAF option used. Neat hide and a nice outlook over the inner harbour. Fav point given. Daily cache sorted - TFTC
Wow, what a tricky one.
We searched to no avail and then decided to PAF for a hint which they kindly provided.
But even with this additional intel it still took us a while. Such a great hide, blends in perfectly.
A definite favourite point. Thanks Bennett24.

I was out with Supernanny today picking up the odd cache today. This one was very close by and I decided to have another go at it. This time I was successful.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
A DNF for me here even with a PAL for a nudge. The CO has put me on the right track.
This was in the first place l looked but I didnt recognise it Spent an age here, looking here & there, getting nowhere. TW made an SOS call for a hint & finally the light went on & we earmed the yellow smiley. Nice camo.TFTC
Wish I could say we found this without assistance but that was not meant to be. AV actually looked there first and we were correct in our assumption of how it was going to be hidden but as is often the way it isn't until after you make the call that you find it in the first place looked. Great cache and a fav from us. Thanks
We had tried to find a way to this cache from the Mona Ave a few months ago on a wet miserable afternoon, and had abandoned the mission. Returned this afternoon and made my way to GZ from the other end. Once there I carefully checked the possiblities of the location before spotting the cache in the third place I had looked. Great bit of cache engineering. Adding a favourite point.
This cache had become a 'Larry' for us (a cache is just can't seem to find). With the help of the Co we narrowed down where to search and what to look for - would you know it I had the right idea in the first place and was persuaded I was wrong... never mind, FOUND, Whew and thanks to the CO for being a good sort.
Will need to fix this one again when we are back from holiday - cache has been removed.
After contacting the C.O about the cache possibly missing and them telling me the foto I sent them was not the lost cache, there was nothing for it but to get back out of my car and go and have a more determined look. This time I spotted something not quite right and it didn't add up... I soon realised I had the cache in hand. But I did have to PAF though to narrow down the possibilities. Thanks for the cache, very nice hide.
A last came here just after the big storm and it was evident the area had been badly flooded, so after a fairly quick search, I wrongly came to the conclusion it had probably been washed away. Today I was determined to find it and wipe the blue face from my map, only took 1 1/4 revolutions. Very well done.

Out and about for some after work caching this afternoon. The weather played balled and the showers stayed away. I parked up at the suggested spot and changed into attire more suited for caching. Then I made the short walk to GZ and the hunt started in earnest. I was pretty sure that I knew what I was looking for, but it didn't mean I made a quick find. Far from it! After searching and researching the potential spots around GZ I decided to make a PAF, or three. However, no one picked up. So, back to going around and around again, it was. After another 15 minutes I finally detected the nicely camoed hide. Must be the best version of this type of hide I have found; favourite point applied. Cheers for the cache placement!
We spent a long time on this but it got the better of us. Left defeated after many checks and rechecks
Logging with permission of the CO. Met up with Merlot58 and Aiden29 to find a few caches in the South Auckland area. This cache was the first for the day as it was a short detour on our way south. We spent a long time searching every part of the structure, but could not locate the cache. We returned later in the day on our way home, with a nudge from a previous finder, but after another half hour of searching we still came up empty handed. Sent a photo of what we thought may be the cache to the CO, and were told to keep searching. After what seemed like forever, the CO gave us another nudge and we found the cleverly hidden cache in a place where we had all searched. Extracting the log was also difficult and in our efforts to extract the log, the cache was damaged. FP for a very sneaky and cunning hide.
Logging with permission of CO. Headed out to the area with Merlot58 and Jag50. This was the first cache for the day. We spent a long time searching here, scouring the structure. We had an idea what we might be looking for, but nothing turned up the cache. We contacted a previous finder to confirm we were correct in our thinking. While waiting to hear back we headed on to other caches, knowing we had to come back this way to head home. Once we returned we again scoured the structure, triple checking everywhere the others had already looked. We were about to give up, when we contacted the CO for a little bit of a nudge. We managed to locate the cache, which we'd all checked a zillion times already. We had to use a little force to extract the cache and this left it a little damaged. Fav point for this very sneaky hide.
Logging with permission of the CO. Well, this was a mission. Jag50, myself and Aiden29 stopped by here on our way to South Auckland and after 20 mins searching we left with our tails between our legs with a dnf. We returned later that day with a nudge from a previous finder as to where we might find the cache but after another 30 mins searching we were still struggling. I contacted the CO with a pic of what I thought might have been the cache and was told no, keep looking, so we did. Eventually the CO took pity and gave us another nudge and we finally found the cleverly hidden cache where we had all searched before but were unable to access the log. Unfortunately our efforts to get in to the log resulted in the cache requiring some maintenance... sorry!! A fp for the clever hide that had us going in circles for a very long time.
Was alerted this afternoon that some maintenance is needed. Will be back up as soon as as we can sort it. Cheers
Stopped by this morning to check on the cache - it is there, in good condition, waiting to be found
Searched for a while without luck. The tide has been over the bases of two of the legs in the last day or two.
Free afternoon and small journey on my bike to get some local caches in the area. Arrived here on my bike. Nice and quiet spot. Took me loooooong time must say. First of all the trick was ... get the GZ located. When it was done I was searching in wrong section.Almost started dismantle whole construction Sent e-mail with some help needed to one of the previous Finders. Almost gave up for today when realized that GZ is quite in the middle so it must be or can be other section of the construction perhaps. And it was a spot where I`ve left my bike ... Soon I had "Aha" moment when found it this little tricky sneaky well placed FP awarded hide. TFTC and joy!
Four of us headed over after the Geocaching Christmas Party to try to find this one. The closest we came was a piece of something that didn't belong there. We called the CO to confirm what this was. Since he was at another non-Geocaching party and had a few drinks, he was nice enough to help us out so we could find the well-hidden cache. TFTC.
After MrB and family assisting this morning it was only fair and just to go along and find this particularly well cammod cache, MrB is getting a reputation for clever and tricky hides. Found with Agazo and Georick, we needed some CO guidance after finding something that may have been a piece of broken cache, it wasn't but it planted a seed. FP from me.
Out with Agazo and urbangypsynz after the Christmas Party. What a clever hide. It's a special one and well worth the visit. Found with team work and some help from the CO. I don't think we would have found it on our own without at least a couple of visits. Favourite from us. Thanks for the challenge Bennett24 great cache.
After work I was heading back to my hotel near the airport and took a slight detour to try and find this cache. Thanks for sharing your memories on the neat cache listing. We lived in Mangere Bridge from 2000 to 2003 but I don't think our kids got up to quite the adventures that you describe here. Well, the search for this cache was interesting. I am pretty sure I found it a few times before I 'found' it. Whew! Very good camo here. Certainly had me going for a while. TFTC, Biggles.
We wanted a decent cache for #1800 so since it is clear the COs are going to set themselves hopelessly high standards if their debut cache is anything to go by, coming to get their second one seemed like a good idea. The only other cache we have done in a similar hiding spot is GC1N3EM (should be on the "must do" cache list along with this one now) so when we saw where we would be looking we gulped and prepared for a tricky hunt.
We would definitely be lying if we said that this was a "quick and easy find". Required a most methodical investigation of GZ to finally get the right idea and retrieve the cache. Very clever indeed and we are feeling rather clever too for finding it without resorting to a hint as tempted as we were. I look forward to hearing the story of this cache's creation, another really excellent job. You guys will need to pace yourself or there won't be favourite points for any other COs and we will all get terribly jealous! Of course, thanks for the cache, all is well here.

Came here yesterday and thought I checked everything possible but without success. Came back today a little wiser and rechecked what I had checked yesterday but this time with success. Nicely hidden, excellent work on the camo, worthy of an FP. TFTC and for continuing my daily streak (Day #281)
Apologies for the snafu - chalk it up to rushing to get this one out and a learning curve on hiding new caches. All good to go now!
This one came out when I was at Norfolk Island....so I thought I could look for it on the way home from the airport !
Was keen to get it ...as I also lived near a creek when young and have find memories of boating as a child .
Our creek did have mangroves !
I admit this took me rather a long time to find !
It does earn it's "D " rating for its sheer trickiness !
Sort of hidden in plain sight !
Brilliant....never seen one exactly like this !
Def worth a FP !!!
And thanks to my kind muggle driver who read half a book in her car while waiting !
Thanks !

Was out on late night caching, and about to get to the first cache. Beep.. Beep.. New cache notification, just few minutes away from us. Reached GZ, expecting to find some one, but the coast was clear. Tried all possible hiding places, but to no avail. Back to car, checked and made sure FMZ is on the way to help us . It didn't take him much time to reach GZ. Searched again, this time we found it. Yayy... [FTF] ..
But, unfortunately the cache was broken in the process. Informed CO, went out and found something to put it together which we thought might hold it till the maintenance.
Thank you Bennett24 for the clever, cunning hide. An FP from us.

Saw this cache published, but having had some long work days, and another one coming tomorrow, decided to leave it for someone else. Got a call a bit later from harisree asking if I'd like to come and help, so figured ok, should be quick... Well, as it turned out it was pretty quick, but we experienced somewhat of a structural failure... We let the CO know and then headed off into the darkness in search of something we could use to effect a repair. Headed back to GZ and made the necessary repairs, and it can now be re-enabled - although given the repairs were done by the IT department, engineering would probably want to inspect. Anyway, TFTC - joint [FTF] with harisree. FTF #2138
