MW and I stayed at the Showground last night and spent today caching around Bega.
This was our first for today and took us quite a while to find.
I was just about to call it when MW put her hand on it.
The local fruit bat colony yelled at us for the duration of our visit
Thanks for the cache, Boeing737

We were having a trip to Eden to let the kids see the rock pool. One of our friends hurt her knee, and we volunteered to cart her for medical attention. After trying Pambula Hospital (?) who rudely sent us off to Bega, we went to Bega, and, while waiting, went for a few caches. This was the first one. Nice hide. Thanks, Boeing737.
Found easily enough, but took a bit longer than it should have because of muggles looking at bats in the park ️
Out caching and bird watching with Shufflehop, we watched the birds and then found this cache

Day 8 and my last day in Bermagui before heading home. Goal today was to complete the SST series (Minus my DNF's), majority left are south around Tathra and Bega plus grab any others along the way.
A nice little park here.

I am aware of recent reports that this cache is wet and in need of maintenance. I was in town on 5 March but was unable to replace this one as the roads were closed due to flooding. I will be down again soon and hopefully will be able to replace it then.
Drive around to place find few caches and Little shower but look good...tks

With the Canberra Day Long Weekend upon us, the FFLL ladies and I usually take off towards SA or the likes for some caching, however with the unpredictability of COVID on the borders, we decided we would try for something a little closer to home. We decided that we would come down and have a crack at the VB trail around Eden and Merimbula. It was a great weekend away with both the FFLL ladies and it was nice to see the ocean and get some sun on our faces.
Final day of our short trip away and today we gathered random caches around the traps before making our way home. On our way home and decided to get some caches around Bega. Was a quick find here, we were fascinated by the thousands of bats hanging in all the trees around this lake, they were just EVERYWHERE. Cache signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache placement Boeing737 and thanks for the wonderful weekend away FFLL ladies Always enjoyable and always something to look forward to.

The Canberra day long weekend falls on the first weekend in March so we usually take this time to head out of town. So this year, the caching troupe of us and Rapidlywild decided to head to the Merimbula to Eden coastline to collect a few smiley's.
Our last day and time to head home but not before doing a few more while still in the area.
We had passed a few on our journey into Merimbula on the Friday we decided to make up for it, so took a detour into these along our way home. Made another quick find at this one then watched the bats for awhile.
Thanks for the hide Boeing737

Find #521. We’re spending a few days camping at Mimosa Rocks NP and enjoying a bit of sightseeing + geocaching today. This is a lovely spot on a sunny winter’s day. Cache was we’re it should be, and in good condition. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Sunshine and an opportunity to go caching, what a great combination. After parking the caravan at the Bega showground (where we will be for a few days) we were out finding caches. Got this one. Scenery beautiful. Our thanks to Boeing737 for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
The good bushcare people were hard at work nearby but we were out of sight to them all. Dad reached this one. TftC.
Out and about caching in Bega this morning. Stopped here to find this cache and I wasn’t disappointed. Found within a couple of minutes. TFTC Boeing 737
This could be a scene from a Monet painting! First place I "looked" but didn't find it until I looked there again.
#16887. Saturday morning isn't the best time to try to get medical treatment for an attack of shingles. Had to travel from Twofold Bay to the flash hospital in Bega for assessment and treatment.
Bega was a wild and windy place today (as the rest of the coast of course). We decided to do a few caches around this pretty town with pretty parks before making our way south again.
The first find of the day. A lovely place to stop and let the doglets have a walk whilst we added our names to the log book.
Thanks Boeing737

Day four of Xmas in Eden with BettyBoo3747.
Being the weekend, and the nearest medical facility being Bega Hospital, we traveled to Bega.
Did a few caches around Bega and had some lunch by the lagoon.
Nice lagoon - chock full of water lilies!
The dogs enjoyed the walk around the park, and we enjoyed the cache.
Thanks, Robmc.

Yay! We found it. It’s so great having them in bega because it gives me a great activity with my kids. There are some little treasures in there and we will add to it! thank you
This is the last day for picking up more caches around the Bega area, along with ilook4geo. This was an easy find after spotting the placement from an angle and retrieving the container. The hint meant it could only be hiding in one place. Log was duly signed. Thanks go to Boeing737 for this cache placement.
Out and about caching again today with goingplaces2 and it is good to be able to claim so many smileys while heading into Bega and surrounding areas. TFTC.
Last day of the long weekend road trip to the far south coast. Stayed overnight in Beta and worked my way north from there. Again lots of caches and mostly of good quality, thanks to all for putting them out there!

I was born and grew up in Bega and left when I was 18. So now almost 30 years later I"m back in town for a High School reunion. Since I'm now a geocaching I really wanted to check out my the caches in the place I call home. Staying at my Dad's house near the High School, I got up early and walked around all of Bega to get all the caches. This was the 6th find of the day. Couldn't find it at first but decided to put my hand up in there and there it was. I lived near here for a year or so and I even think this was the park where I got my first kiss. Her name was Nicole. I really hope she comes to the reunion so I can do more than kiss. My she may have gotten really fat now and I may not want to. This was a real good stroll down memory lane. TFTC!
I headed down the far south coast of NSW on a very last minute couple of days away. A recent injury (tennis elbow) has rendered me a bit bored, so a getaway was required. My usual geo-partner CC is slumming it up in Paris, so it was just me today. I found some last-minute accommodation at Merimbula and hit the road. I made a few stops on the way to break up the journey, but I have been down this way numerous times, so only a few new caches along the way. All in all, a very pleasant day, the breeze was a bit cool at times, but the variety and creativity of the caches made it well worth while.
Didn't find this one. There was a muggle picnic at gz, so I didn't try it. I will try again some other time
Thanks anyway Boeing737

Found the general area quickly, but it took a little more searching to find the cache itself. Great little park, will have to stop for longer next time. TFTC!
Out and about with nibletricecakes and the Goulburn/Canberra crew. Scouting the coastline for treasures... my first big caching weekend! TFTC
Great work!
Spending a glorious weekend down the Sapphire Coast as part of the Canberra Invasion. Whilst the invasion meant the chance to catch up with many cachers at events and at different spots (and a delightful excuse to celebrate Lovetherabbitohs 18th birthday), I spent most of the weekend on the hunt with the CGI crew: Fitzy_1965, DarzeeDi, Minniek , K8TYBEE , GLISS!, GSC2000 Lovetherabbitohs, B0tmun, death_killer & my_name_jeff_1. Thanks so much for keeping all the caches alive and making this weekend a possibility! Tftc

Headed to Wallaga Lake for a bit of an invasion by people from Canberra & Goulburn. A group of us convoyed for most of the long weekend. The group known as CGI (Canberra Goulburn Invasion) consisted of fitzy_1965, darzee di, nibletricecakes, k8tybee, GLISS!, GSC2000 and my geokids Lovetherabbitohs, b0tmun, death_killer & my_name_jeff_1.
Day 3 now all packed up and ready to head home but not before finishing the SST series and any others along the way. All caches were quickly found. We certainly loved the variety.

This weekend a few of us from Canberra and Goulburn decided to travel down to Bermagui and do the SST series and some of the other traditionals, camping at Wallaga Lake Big4.
Today was day 3, final day of our adventure and what a great adventure it was, loved the company, lots of laughs and stories making it a successful fun long weekend. This one we found a little higher than we thought. We signed logs as team CGI (canberra Goulburn invasion) and we all enjoyed ourselves, we all had a great day. Tftc Boeing737

18,277. Found during the Canberra (and Goulburn) Invasion of the Sapphire Coast with minniek, GSC2000, DarzeeDi, Nibletricecakes, K8tybee, GLISS!, and the geokids.
After much planning and anticipation, the Canberra and Goulburn Invasion of the Sapphire Coast was underway. I had previously done the SST series back in 2016, so I only had a few DNFs on missing caches from that trip to make right plus any new ones since that trip. This was one of the new ones. Quick find at GZ.
Thanks Boeing737 !!

I was worried by the comment, "vertically challenged", but even though I am not tall, I had no problems reaching. Lots of flying foxes. Good luck for anyone living nearby in trying to get any fruit to eat off their trees. Pretty lagoon. Worth a favourite point. TFTC Boeing737.
Auper quick find. Kids couldn't reach it. We enjoyed having a sticky beak at the bats. Tftc
