We camped in the feeecamp so before we headed off we decided to go for a walk over the rock and to see what flowers we could find. This cache was a nice quick find as was similar to the one this morning. Thanks for hodjng this cache here.
My phone wanted me to go on but my Geo feeling told me to check that perfect hide. TFTC
What a stroll up the hill. Your cache badly requires paper. I signed on the back of the info . Thanks
Tftc.we found lid, container and geo paper on ground around gz but no log.Have returned to where we think was. Sorry dont have anything suitable for a log
We found a way up and then continued up to the cache and onto the tank platform.A great location for a cache and we with the walk up.We put the log into a zip lock bag for protection against the rain.
Last trek for the afternoon and decided to walk to the top of Hill. Well, perhaps that was probably a wrong choice, but we still made it, myself and doggo. What magnificent views of the surrounding area. Easy, find thanks for the cache.
Container was out in the open on the ground so have placed it in the location that would appear that it has come from.
Attended the 7th BYO Marshmallow event (my 1st) in Kwolyin and continued on to Merredin in the late morning. Decided to pick up a few caches after lunch. An easy find after a good hike TFTC mavz243
We stayed overnight in Merredin, so with a late start this morning we headed out to explore the area using Geocaching as our guide.
We were last in Merredin May 2019.

Happy to say all caches were found and he got his exercise in as a few involved a bit of a walk. Thanks to the CO,S for placing the caches

As i am an early riser, decided to tackle this cache at sunrise. Parked 380 meters away and had a nice cool walk up to GZ. Great views and loved the history lesson.

R and Mrs TiedyeSmileys were both initially disappointed with this. Seeing all the military history in town and around this area, we North immediately conjured up thoughts of an entirely different type of tank.
It was very interesting up there anyway and great views

We were a bit unsure if Miss atCat could handle the terrain but decided to give this one a go anyway. We enjoyed the beautiful walk which turned out to be easier than expected (with only one tumble by the little one). Such a clever way to collect the water into the dam, and to stop it flooding. And the views from the top made the walk well worthwhile Quick find of the cache once at GZ then we sat for awhile to enjoy the serenity. A fave, TFTC mavz243
Woke up early to a beautiful blue sky - perfect time to climb to the peak. Many memories of hanging out here exploring while Dad played 8 holes below. Cache found, signed and replaced. TFTC
Been up here that many times and never knew this was ever here, great spot, signed and placed back.
Mrs matmob thoroughly enjoyed this walk while Mr had a fish. Very interesting history and a pleasant walk to boot. Thanks so much

On a road trip around the wheatbelt areas of Western Australia for a few weeks. We are enjoying the many friendly towns along the way, whether staying in the CP’s or camping out. So far, we have found every cache that we have looked for, and hopefully our streak will last as we move around to the next town and beyond. Thank you so much to the CO’s of every cache for placing them for our enjoyment. They certainly bring you to many spots that you might not stop at otherwise.
A day caching in Northam, Meckering, Cunderdin, Tammin, Kellerberrin and Merredin, before heading around through Nungarin, Kununuppin, Trayning, Yelbeni and Wyalkatchem to the event in Minnivale. Weather was glorious and it was a DNF free day. Caching at its best. Thanks for your contribution to a great day.
Out and about in the Wheatbelt today flogging around finding caches.
Had to do a long trek up the rock, but was rewarded with the cache at the end. Cheers mavz243!

Sent the younger generation for a wonder on this one, found signed and returned cheers
After a stop off at the SiloArt for some photos and a delicious bite for lunch at one of the local cafes, we headed out to the base of the rock.
A nice easy stroll up the rock, a few puddles after the rains today and we came up trumps with the cache in hand.
With signing duties done and dusted we replaced the cache container as found.
Great views from the top and now on to our next gz at the old Military Hospital Site

Hi there mavz243.
We found your cache **"Tank on the Hill"** at 9:57:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 22313).
We are heading from SA to WAGB in Northam & we stopped off in Merredin on the way through. Now that we've settled in to the caravan park we have taken the opportunity to head out and find some of the caches we had to bypass with the caravan behind us.
We found 5 caches today & DNF'd 1. Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic travels around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 3m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Found - nice morning walk up to the hill! Thanks for the tool hint as geos were a bit out.
An interesting walk to a spot with a great view. Got to love GeoCaching as a travel guide
While having a rest at the nearby camping spot I decided to go for a walk early in the morning. Well thank you for the explanations to the tank, I was wondering what is it when I came up that hill.

Thank you! Dad (my part-time assistant) and I headed on a day trip down the Great Eastern Highway, with plans to get to Merredin.
Dad parked close by, but once at the start of the trail, he decided he wouldn't be able to manage the climb (he is a but unsteady on his legs sometimes). So he sat in the shade and reminisced about his younger days living in the area while I headed up to GZ. I found the cache in good condition, but it was out in the open. Not knowing exactly where it should be, I put it within reach of where I found it, but tucked in a logical spot.
Thanks for bringing me up here.

Found by Mary & David, in company with Mrs Crackers, at 0735. An early start from Merredin as we head to Norseman on our slow and reluctant way home. We have cached at the dam before , but not gone up the hill. Pigeons and ducks flew by, and there was a magpie chorus. Great views of the old engineering works to harvest water off the hill along the way. Quick find at GZ. The plaques were very interesting, too. Our thanks to mavz243.
A great hide up here! Stashed our bikes and walked up! Wonderful views for Miles. TFTC
First of the morning before leaving and heading towards the Alice and Adelaide. Nice views of town and great to see a cache at a place you would not normally go.
We are staying at the nearby RV ovrernight area and went for a walk in the afternoon along one of the walk trails. I took a detour when it seemed to be heading away from the rock. We got to the top and too a few minutes to enjoe the view before heading over to grab the cache. It didn't take too long to find.

Arrived at Gz after a couple hour drive with Barnzy12 still getting his beauty sleep in as I was the driver as usual, we parked up close to the given waypoints and made our way along the well marked path to the cache.

Day 1 of Barnzy and Cravo’s trip from Perth to Adelaide. Today we travelled from Perth to Noreseman via Kalgoorlie.
We left Perth just before 6am with the car fully packed for a full days caching the night before for a quick getaway. Refueling in Northam to keep the tank topped up before stopping at our first cache in Merredin, which was a nice little walk to stretch the legs that hadn’t been doing much for a couple of hours.
We continued on to Mount Palmer, which was the biggest detour of the day, some 60kms return from the highway and collected some serious unloved on both of the caches there which is surprising as it is a lovely spot. The mine claimed to be active, but I highly doubt that.
Tackled a few earth caches along the journey go Kalgoorlie, were nearly smart enough to become earth scientists with some of the knowledge we’ve picked up. Was nice to return to Sandleford Rock, which we visited some time ago to complete the traditionals there after stopping into Westonia.
Continuing along the highway we completed the last two of kyzabra’s traditionals on the way into Kalgoorlie, and stopped to grab the virtual cache desert oasis which had eluded us on several previous visits go Kal.
We dropped into Jinta29s event in Kalgoorlie and had a good chat about his trip North from Kal and our trip further east to Adelaide. We were joined shortly afterwards by greyroamer, someone who we’ve followed and who has followed us around the countryside on various journeys. It was great to put a face to the name in the logbooks.
We teamed up with Jinta to grab a couple of solved puzzles around town before he headed off and we completed our Anzac 101 series, which was most enjoyable, but as one clue was missing we couldn’t complete the final cache.
We left town and started our journey south to Norseman our first rest stop on our trip. Not far out of town we encountered some serious lightning and storms, which slowed us right down, and followed us all the way into Norseman.
We stopped into the local pub for dinner and a pint while the rain subsided a bit and had a crack at some of the local caches, which was a bit of a challenge in the rain. Managed 3 finds from 4 attempted, which wasn’t bad effort considering the rain. Will come back for the other two in the morning before we head off to Border Village tomorow.
Thanks to the local COs for a great day out.
