Perth/Darwin TripWhat a cool earthcache. I worked for a water research org at ANU for about ten years and love urban hydrology. Great to learn more about the system here. Such a beautiful park too. Joolay and I are travelling to WA and NT to qualify for a challenge that requires you to find a cache in every Australian state in a calendar year. Thanks for hiding and maintaining this cache canmoose
Random geocaching on a visit to the lakes where Remida has an activity day TFTC great to learn about the system

Geo-hubby had an appointment in Perth during the week so made the time to grab the details of this EC which has been on our 'to do' list for way too long. Mission accomplished and happy to log at last. Thanks canmoose
TaurusSix and I had been to this park before. We recall it was hard to find a car park. Today it was not a lot different except we lucked out early on.To GZ we wandered and it was in an area we had not got to last time. The sign was easily spotted and we got as much information off that as it was willing to impart.I then moved o to the other information I was still wanting. Most of which were east to find. I was puzzled by one question, but after circling almost all the way around the penny dropped. Then I moved a little farther. I had to be a little more circumspect to find the next bit of information, as there was a group there dancing/exercising with fans. The last bit was an easy walk, while avoiding kids on scooters. Thanks for the Earth cache canmoose answers to follow shortly.
Good to see a little Canadian content here on the opposite side of the world. Answers have been emailed to the CO. TFTC!team okeeffek Winnipeg, MB, Canada

Geology rocks but Geography is where it’s at!
(I’m not a geologist I just like puns)
Found with fitzy_1965 on our dash around the country in 6 days.
After arriving in Perth yesterday, today was our main dedicated day to go caching in the City. We mainly targeted virtuals and picked up anything else we fancied along the way.
Next stop was this earthcache. Certainly, different from most others we have done. Answers sent to CO and now logging with permission.

28,669. Found with minniek during our long weekend adventure to Western Australia and the Northern Territory to finish our 'Around Australia in 2022' Challenge.
By the end of February this year we were lucky enough to have visited in and cached in five of the eight Australian states/territories (ACT/NSW/VIC/SA and TAS). With the Townsville Mega knocking off QLD in April, we decided we may as well do a trip to WA/NT to complete Australia in one year. This is that trip. We arrived yesterday and were met by family. Today was our first caching day. This was a very interesting Earthcache to visit and do. We have sent off our answers to the CO, and permission to log has been received.
Thanks canmoose !! Fav Point !

Finishing a job nearby and swung past in glorious weather. Never really walked through Hyde park. What a gem it is. Interesting to learn about the drainage system also TFTC
It's rare that we do a Earth cache as we usually don't have the free time. Today I had an hour to share so decided to do this one.
I managed to work out most of the clues but it was all a bit ambiguous for me with question 6. I was probably over thinking it.
At question 4 the mission was being used by a group of people so I got the hairy eyeball when I walked up to get the answer but I'm used to that sort of reaction and just went about my own business. They lost interest as soon as I walked away.
Answers sent and hopefully answered in a way that makes sense.
Thanks for the adventure.

A delayed post; I had decided to celebrate earth day by completing some local earth caches. The Canpmellow team came down and joined me for the day, this was our third. A nice walk in Hyde Park, we met a fellow geocacher and talked at length about plants and regional town history finding that our two families intersected at various points in WA history.TFT Earth cache canmoose

6 months(ish) since we left home and stated our ‘lap year’ half way in our original time allocation and not even close to half way around the country…hmm I guess we won’t be ‘home’ for Christmas….oh well… (shhh don’t tell the grandparents)
Perhaps if/we I stopped looking at so many rocks trees and beaches we wouldn’t be taking so long…then there are the flowers, old things and street art that keeps catching our attention.. maybe it’s the Geocaches… what ever it is, we are having a bloody brilliant time and I wouldn’t change a thing!
This week it’s Perth turn, mainly targeting Virtual and Earth caches while sight seeing and attending to some business, what a beautiful city!
Thanks for being one of the awesome caches we found this week.

Wow this place has improved so much since it was restored. I haven’t been near it in years. Very, very popular and a lovely area just to watch the birds or the world go by. Thank you canmoose for this Earthcache.️
Yay. Looking for the answers in the dark with Geotrakka was a fun experience. But we got there in the end. TFTVC.
Out in the dark in the chill of winter - two old ducks doing an earth cache in a city park - why not I say! Torches in hand, thick jacket and the thought if a nice hot dinner waiting - we did the research and got our answers and made it out alive! Thanks for this earth cache.
Earth caching in a busy location is better trying for trads!!

We had a day in Perth before heading towards the WA south coast. We focused our attention to earthcaches as always, our favourite type of geocaching for the learning process and beautiful places it takes us to.
It was great to finish the day with a walk in the park very near our accommodation to discover such a good system, which should be applied everywhere in the world

Wonderful day in the park today. Even better to learn about the Treatment Train. Answers sent. TFTC.
I had been wandering around this lovely park finding a few of the trads. Stopped by this earthcache too, but when I realised I would need to backtrack a little bit to complete it, I thought I'd just move on. However, I ended up back in the park on my way back into town so managed to complete the rest of the tasks. Wasn't sure on a few, but answers sent to CO. TFTC!
Found this afternoon after our Digital Tower Meet and Greet event. Caught the bus for a quick ride out and back. Answers sent. What a lovely park. Thanks for bringing us out here. TFTC
Well, it's been a long time since I've gone out caching, and the Earth Cache weekend, coupled with my hubby being away on holidays for 3 weeks motivated me to come and find this one.
A lovely day in Hyde Park, plenty of baby ducks and swans around, so cute!
I enjoyed the walk around, and learning about the train.
Answers have been sent, hopefully they are correct!

I am currently visiting WA from SA and staying at a friend’s house in Shenton Park. Today I headed out to find some selected caches close to Perth. I had a good run with no DNFs and a nice selection of Traditional, Multi, Puzzle, Virtual, Earthcache, Letterbox and Lab caches.
My biggest disappointment is not having the time to get to all the caches I would like to. I spent lots of time solving quite a number of puzzles and identifying other ‘caches of interest’ before my trip to ensure that I had a good ‘menu’ to choose from, depending where my rather loose travel plans took me. But I hardly seem to be making a dent. Next time!
I, together with thousands of others, thought this park was a great place to be on this lovely spring day.
Thanks canmoose for the cache.

Stopped off here during a nice late afternoon wander around the park Don't think I'd have noticed this 'treatment train' otherwise so was an interesting diversion and learnt something new too! Some answers were nice and easy but a couple of others were quite tricky due to the drain area being quite overgrown - it was difficult to see! Have emailed answers to the CO though so fingers are crossed Another part of the park with awesome trees too Heaps of people here too including a group yoga session on the grass nearby and a guy walking across a tightrope! Thanks for bringing me here and TFTEC
AusLoron and I walked laps around the treatment train gathering the information needed for the cache questions. A really informative and interesting Earthcache topic.

frmen1 and I are discovering WA, one geocache at a time. This one looked just enough to fill in our time before heading to the airport. We enjoyed this park. This was the second biofiltration system we'd seen on this trip (the other was in Margaret River). This one is by far the nicer. And there was information to assist our understanding of it. It's amazing what we can achieve by working with nature, rather than against her. There was a swan family there with 5 cygnets. So cute and fluffy. There were a few people taking pics of them.

It had been a long time since we had been to Hyde Park so it was about time to come back. The goal was to find all caches here but that wasn’t to be as there seem to be a few missing. Thanks canmoose for setting up this cache.
Enjoyed the walk around the park and the variety of caches. Looks like there’s lots of people enjoying the sunshine today too.
