A nice Friday walk from the dock where we brought our dinghy in and it wasnt too long before we found this cache. This is a nice part of the world for caching.

15-Nov-24
We've only got a couple more days here before we sail south so walked over from the dock to this one today. Log is full we really had to squeeze our initials on there. Thanks!

We are on a one week holiday road trip from Sydney to Brisbane to Sydney, with pre-booked accommodation at the Ingenia White Albatross Holiday Park in Nambucca Heads, the Big4 NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Resort on the Gold Coast, the Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort in Yamba, and the Big4 Leisure Tourist Park in Port Macquarie. Planning to collect some caches around our accommodation stays, and also stop-off for some targeted caches along the M1 Pacific Motorway route. Photos will be uploaded to logs after our return to home base.Today we drove from Biggera Waters on the Queensland Gold Coast to Yamba in northern NSW, spending most of the day collecting caches and Adventure Labs accessed from along the Gold Coast Highway, with a final stop-off at Burleigh Head National Park for Queensland's second oldest geocache (we did the oldest on our last trip in March). Then headed southward along the M1 Pacific Motorway, stopping for a break at Ballina for a cache at the Big Prawn and a visit to the Summerland Antique Centre, before continuing on to Yamba for the night. This was the 3rd of 15 finds for the day (day 4), and 34th find of the holiday. We DNFed this cache on our last trip to Queensland in March 2024, and since then it was confirmed as missing and replaced into a different location, so we stopped off again today for a look. Parked close to the cache location, and made a nice quick find on arrival at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Good to be able to turn sad blue to happy yellow on the geomap. Found while staying in this area. Snickersallan, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area.

20-Aug-24
Out for a walk between really heavy rain showers - cache all good and above where the tree trimmers should go. Today car park empty after the big Air Show. Thanks for the effort in placing a good bison cache. A first to find on the new log sheet. Fav point for a cache container thats not a mint tin.

06-Aug-24
New container in place, all good to go.

05-Aug-24
Disabling due to message received advising cache is gone, only zip tie remains. Will replace asap.

18-Jul-24
Replaced missing container and GZ has been moved to a more suitable location, not far from the original.

04-Jul-24
Disabling until I can get yet another replacement, sorry for any inconvenience.

02-Jul-24
No joy

30-Jun-24
No luck for me either. I saw it had been replaced in among the string of DNFs, but after digging in the leaf litter and overturning all the rocks I could see, no sign of a cache here. If it's as busy usually in the park as it was today, I can see why the cache might be muggled.

24-Jun-24
No luck with this one today

25-Apr-24
New container in place, all good to go again.

Looks like this cache has been taken unfortunately. I will replace when I return from interstate in April, sorry for any inconvenience.

We are on a one week holiday road trip from Sydney to Brisbane to Sydney, with pre-booked accommodation at the Big4 NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Resort at Gold Coast and then at Big4 NRMA Darlington Beach Holiday Resort at Arrawarra (Coffs Harbour), with some other as yet undetermined overnight stops along the M1 route there & back. Will be attempting to log a broad selection of cache types whilst in Queensland (at least one each of Trad, Multi, Mystery, Letterbox, Earth, Wherigo, Virtual, & AdLab), including a visit to Queenslands oldest geocache GC8E - Queens land. Photos will be uploaded to logs after our return to home base.Today (day 3) we went for stroll along the Broadwater Parklands at Southport, collecting some Adventure Lab stages and a Traditional cache, but sadly we also had some DNFs. We then collected a few random Traditional caches around the Southport area, followed by a fairly lengthy Wherigo cache starting at a cemetery, before ending the caching day with a Letterbox hybrid cache. The rest of the afternoon was spent lazing around the Treasure Island Holiday Resort pool. A total of 11 finds for the day (day 3).Not a good way to start our caching day, with a DNF on our very first cache attempt. Searched all around the trees at GZ, but nothing cache-like was found, and it only caused us to loose valuable paid parking time. Hoping for better luck at the next one Sad

An early start to two events this morning, love my early starts. I arrived and saw miss green cordial sitting waiting for all to turn up. With this cache just a few metres away it was a short walk to sign the log. Quick easy find and all replaced a found., thanks. We then walked back to the meeting point to where One by One the numbers soon appeared and then we had a crew to go CITOing. At first glance this place looks pretty clean, however when you start wondering around it is not long before you find all sorts of rubbish, this was evident at the final point where we heard of just a portion of the items collected, wow.

Glad the previous logger replaced the cache to where it should be, as I had no trouble finding it in its hide, nicely hidden under bark etc. Quite a few muggles about in this location, it being Gold Coast Show weekend, so MrMagoo72 and I had to hang about for a while for them to pass before we could put it back after signing the log. TFTC.

27-Aug-23
Container was open a little bit away from hinted location. Found it by spotting the log paper in nearby bushes. Not sure exactly where it should be, but put it back where the hint says to look. Tftc.

Stopped off here and made a quick find.

Thanks Snickersallan for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

27-Jun-23
A day on the fabulous Gold Coast with Patrol14 caching through Parkwood, Molendinar, Southport & Main Beach… An easy day attempting to clean up the map…

Despite the holiday crowds and the fact we were neither rigging or de-rigging we were able to get in and out without issue…

Thanks Snickersallan glad to hear you made it back from WA unscathed…

Finding this geocache wasn’t planned, it only happened because of some fireworks going on somewhere over the water. We are on holidays from Victoria and we were driving back to Biggera Waters from going to watch the sunset at Skypoint in Surfers Paradise last night when we saw fireworks to our right so we spontaneously found this car park to view the fireworks. We were pleasantly surprised to see a playground under night lights, never seen anything like this in Victoria. Geokids aged 11 and 9 wanted a little play and I opened my phone to see if there were any geocaches nearby and sure enough a short walk away. However there were quite a few muggles around, I guess they came for the fireworks too. So I had to loiter around for a bit and I felt a bit uncomfortable about it as it was night time I didn’t want to come across as a suspicious looking woman (kids stayed at the park with their dad) with the phone torch waving around under a tree lol. I almost gave up and was going to come back in the morning but caught a quiet break and quickly had the cache in hand. First time after over 500 finds to find a geocache at night time! TFTC

Lots of muggles around but little Izle found it pretty quick. TFTC

Out caching with my daughter this morning. Wow, they have definitely upgraded this park since the last time we came down here. The tower is pretty cool. Not many kids around at this hour so we had to go up for a look.
Heading back to the car was the perfect time to jump in and grab this one.
All good here snickersallen, thanks again
