Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.

I have been Geocaching for the last year as part of team Dromaniax. We have enjoyed the Geocaching caching around a lot of Victoria in that time. From our first trip up to the Murray River, the next trip to Lake Eildon and the area around Buxton, an epic trip to the Little Desert to attack the This is SA series, then a great trip with our father to the High Country in Victoria, a trip to the Mornington Peninsula and a trip to the Albury-Hume Reservoir area.
I finally decided to set up my own account and am claiming all the caches I have found as part of Dromaniax.
Thank you for this Traditional cache Stirlo1992

This isn't Bonnie Doon, but then Bonnie Doon does not have a monopoly on serenity. We made a short detour to drive up the road to find this cache. It was a simple find, and we took some time to top up on serenity and enjoy the views. We found the gates a little disconcerting as we drove up the road, but they were there to assist the farmers when moving livestock. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache, Stirlo1992.
As a member of TeamOZCAT logged in this cache, I am now logging as an individual predominantly to avoid any mistaken/unnecessary revisitation.
Under groundspeak guidelines, this logging is acceptable as I was indeed at Cache GZ in person in recent times. However, all cache owners have the right to delete logs as they see fit. Usually done to "Armchair loggers" or inappropriate texting.
If any cache Owner/s have questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact.
TeamOZCAT logged finds when both Karen and Reg logged as individuals. This logging is exactly the same, only in reverse. Again, groundspeak acceptable.
For an unspecified period of time TeamOZCAT are no longer cache searching but remain active in our cache management and maintenance.
I sincerely thank all CO's and wish you all the best in your endeavours. Cheers Karen

Many cache owners are already aware: As per Groundspeak guidelines, I am claiming find because physically found under TeamOzcat. I undertake this not for disinterested statistical purposes, but because of inability to revisit this cache, and/or because it's so damn confusing when viewing the local district geocache maps. I sincerely thank all CO's for time and effort in placement of their caches. Cheers Reg.
Interesting tour of Alexandra. We have had a ball looking around this town and surrounds. Thank you to all the cache owners for providing and maintaining these caches.
Yes, it was lovely and serene as I came up the road, and I enjoyed seeing the animals. Cache in good condition, signed and re-hidden. Thanks for bringing me here Stirlo1992.
What a great way to spend a sunny afternoon, scenic views in a serene spot.
Thanks Stirlo1992 for choosing a special spot.
Thanks Stirlo1992 for choosing a special spot.
After a cheeky night away I couldn’t head home without getting at least one cache in the area. Hot, dusty, beautiful. TFTC.
Finally got to have a couple of days off so I headed up to Moleswoth for a few days of R&R and caching of course.
Last day before heading home so after beating the morning rain it was off to find a few caches around Yea and Alexandra.
Spending the afternoon around Alexandra chasing caches that I didn’t have time for during the Mega.
Spreading out a bit further and noticed this green dot on my map.
A nice drive down the quiet lane that eventually ends with a gate as I found out.
My every move was being watched by a few of the 4 legged locals who seemed interested in what I was up to.
Pulled over to the side and I soon added my name to the log.
Thanks Stirlo1992 TFTC.

out doing a maintenance run and stoppd by to do this one. It realy is a lovely area TFTC
This was a nice quick find on a lovely quite little lane. Lots and lots of kangaroos in the various paddocks. We commented as we started the short drive, that this lane had a definite peacefulness as we drove along it. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.

On a road trip today with MrsPapi4506 and Sharkiefan exploring some of the west side of Lake Eildon.
The last for the day. A lovely location at sunset with plenty of roos sighted.
Cheers Stirlo1992

Found by Mary & David, in company with pprass, at 1508. A serene view indeed. Found ok after a brief search. Our thanks to Stirlo1992.
Just a quick pick up on the way out of town, heading back to the big smoke after an amazing and fun-filled weekend! TFTC
Thought we’d take a drive after the Mega was over and maybe grab a cache turns out this was the only cache we found over the entire weekend so we won’t be forgetting this great spot , left all 3 TBs for next finder

After a quite traumatic morning (it was a really serious moment) we went out for a lovely drive round the area. The access to this cache looked as though it was private property, but we knew better and went straight up to G and once again had a lovely scenic view.
Thanks Stirlo1992.

With the Alex event over and me staying an extra day I did a tour of Eildon. This was an easy find. TFTC.
On a 6 day tour of Victoria with Barnzy12. Taking the red eye over from Perth we managed to visit some great places. The main reason for the travel was the Mega event in Alexandra and the opportunity to find 12 cache types in a day.
We originally travelled to Phillip bay, then up through the country side to Alexandra. Spent a few nights staying high in the snowfields and then moved over to Mt Disappointment. We then ended up back where we started returning the hire car at the airport to fly home.
Some quality caches were found all over the state, great to get a real range of cache sizes with some very large caches compared to what’s available in WA and the range of D/T options so close to each other was a bonus.
Thanks to all the Cache owners for you placements and creativity put into hiding and have awarded a few fav points based on this or the location it bought us too.

In Melbourne with Cravo10 to attend the Mega in Alexandra.
We took the red eye from Perth, leaving at 1am Thursday morning, and departed Melbourne early Tuesday morning, so it was a short five day trip.
We managed to snag a couple of nice stats for the trip. First mega event, 12 cache types in a day, 10 lab caches, 50th large cache find, and most importantly my 10,000th find at Mount Disappointment.
We spent the first day on a caching run from
Melbourne to Phillip Island where we had booked into the local caravan park for the evening. We cached all day chasing down a number of the whereigo and puzzle caches from the CF series, before ending the day caching the extremities of Phillip Island, where we had both never been, an amazing part of this country.
Next morning we cached our way to Alexandra which was the main reason for our trip to Melbourne as we had both never managed to attend a mega, which were hoping to rectify in WA next year! Attended the pre event and managed to get a couple of group FTFs by torchlight which was a real highlight.
Saturday we cached in and around Alexandra all day, chasing numbers, the highlight of the day would have to be the birdbox hides around Alexandra and the multi in Bonnie Doon from that famous TV show, a real nice touch!
Sunday was an epic caching day, chasing down 12 types in a day, which required a couple of huge drives to claim some of the rarer icons around. A huge caching stat which is a very rare feat in the Southern Hemisphere. We finished the day travelling to Mount disappointment where we found Melbourne's 1st cache and then started making a dent in the powertrail, finishing by torchlight.
Our last full days caching was spent at Mount Disappointment to chase some big numbers and with a few caches around the burbs for good measure.
Special thanks to all the wonderful COs around Melbourne for their brilliant caches, and to the mega committee for organising a ripper event, hope to be back next year!

Out with a bunch of fellow South Aussie cachers. Had a fun night chasing a heap of caches around Alexandra, mostly the trout series. Some were a blur some were memorable.

We arrived at Alexandra and set up camp at the Caravan Park.
After a coffee with the neighbours we went out for a bit of a cache, and found this one along the way.
A nice little drive up the lane and the cache was soon found.
Left a couple of pathtags.

Geohubby is rarely out of bed before me on a Saturday, so it was quite odd to see him showered and dressed as i sleepily wandered through the house .. I didn’t know it .. but he was on the chase for a new FTF .. so soon we were out in the Ftruck and off to find the cache - hoping that no one had beat us .. with joy we found the cache and saw there were no names listed .. FTF with Macimus1978 .. thanks for placing the cache
