Cache was found and dismantled by children who recently moved into the area. Replacing it would be a waste of time.
Such a pretty are. Took my boys and I a little to find it and we had quiet a laugh when we eventually did.
Unfortunately the lid was broken and the sheet inside was soggy.
This was a great cache. Thank you
We also loved watching the ducks swim around!!!

I have had the week off however mrs frilk has started back so I thought that I would get her out for a couple of hours to relax.
I spotted the cache just as a grandmother brought her grandson to see the ducks so we decided to have a short walk around the park. On our return the coast was clear. The hole in the lid had filled the container half full with water (which I emptied) however the log was dry. TNLN. TFTC.

Another clever hide which is in need of attention Ron as the lead balloon is winning the battle
Walked in here from tbe gorge for a quick find once I worked out which direction to look. Thanks.
Kato Potato and I had booked accommodation in Mill Park for the Whittlesea MEGA event.....non-refundable accommodation which thankfully opened up to us regional Victorians this very week. Despite not being able to attend the now-cancelled MEGA, we got back in the saddle of geocaching and realised how much we'd missed it in 2020.
With excellent coordinates, we were able to locate this nifty geocache well, though watched on by muggle ducks. TFTC Ron.haha

After a particularly long caching hiatus thanks to COVID-19, Mummy Short Legs and I finally got to hit the road again for our annual caching weekend away. This weekend was originally planned to be celebrated with the nearby Mega event, cancelled for obvious reasons. We still had an accommodation booking though and thought waste not, want not! A great weekend away and an opportunity to just enjoy the area.
Number 3 find for the weekend and what a great one it was. I've never seen this configuration before but I was happily impressed. Some wear and tear means that this device is not as effective as normal but still a great concept. Thanks for the cache Ron.haha

Spotted something a bit strange and wasn't really sure until I opened it.
Had to wait a bit first as the nearby bench was in use.

My friend with great eye sight helped me find my first geocache!! Exciting times!!!
Never seen a cache like this, pure genius! Lots of scrabbling around in bushes before a glean caught my eye and I had it in hand. Thank you!
This cache was unlike any I've seen. I loved it though getting it back proved to be a little tough.
Going back to my car after a tour in the plenty gorge park. Nice one. Seen this before and still good. Fav in. Cheers!
I'd failed here a few weeks back because all my attention was on the wrong spot. Today I'd noticed the logs complaining of spiky bushes and went nearer to them, and found. I've seen one like this near here, but it's cleverer than a mint tin and that's been used more than once too. Thanks Ron.haha
Out with my 2 girls grabbing a cache on our way home and decided to get this one. Once at GZ I found this straight away. I've seen this construction before but I was still impressed by the effort required to create it. My youngest retrieved the container so I could put our name in, then after a bit of coaxing I got it back to its original position. Then we watched the ducks for a bit. TFTC Ron.haha. Your standard of caches still impress me.
Out with xambo4u, we spent the day walking in the beautiful Plenty Gorge. Loved the setting, loved the cache. A favourite point. Thanks Ron. haha
This is a lovely spot. My dog tried to drag me into the water to chase the birds - she was no help at all. But despite her attempt at sabotage, I still managed to spot the cache. Thanks for creating such a clever one!
Took us a while to spot. But finally there it was. What a great idea !
Have done caches like this one before but not with this kind of construction.
Love these creative hides. TFTC Ron.haha

We were hanging around the area and decided to look for this cache hunted for a while with no luck. We sat down for a second and spotted this neat hide TFTC
Found plenty of trees recently, so it was fun to find something similar & equally clever. Strange to find this one in such an urban feeling location compared to the previous location. Geo dog had fun helping on a sunny afternoon TFTC
We were out in the park proper recently when we were working our way through the mystery at the museum event, and we had a lot of fun with your other, very similar cache. That previous experience meant that we spotted this cache a lot more quickly than we were able to spy the last one though, which was nice! A very interesting cache design, and very different from what we’ve seen previously!
We certainly saw a lot of kangaroos on the way in, but not any purple swamp hens at the pond - maybe next time.

Out caching with Shufflehop. We had already done one end of Plenty Gorge and today was the day to attack the other. This is a very clever concept, but it did not fool us girls for long.
After driving past this area several times we decided to make a day of it exploring the gorge and surrounds. This is some surprising bushland seemingly in the middle of suburbia. With Jacko and Anikano we wandered around by car and on foot, through rain and shine, ending the enjoyable day out with **plenty** of finds.
A nice change of pace here with a crafty cache, found while we watched the ducks in the pond. Looked around the ground first and then took a measured approach from a distance to get it.
Thanks for the fun Ron.haha.

I like to mix my caching up, so today decided to head somewhere new. That big piece of bushland I always happen to drive past on the way to the Yarra Valley! An awesome day out with Geobuddies Anikano and Pacman. Can't beat the feeling of cleaning out a park! Thanks to the Co's for all the efforts in placing these caches
I really like this type of hide - have one myself! Glad to see this isn't muggled and is still in good conddition. Thanks for the novelty Ron.haha!

After a few weeks of local caching it was time to hit the road again to try and clear out a new area. No one i’d rather be out caching with than geobuddies Pac-Man and Jacko83. Even though the bureau stated rain was to be expected we took the risk. Glad we did as the small bits of spitting rain we experienced were actually welcomed as we totalled 25km of walking all up as we set out to grab every cache out in this paradise amidst suburbia.
Surprisingly didn’t take as long as I thought to find this one! I took a step back and spotted from right angle. Awesome hide! TFTC

6th on GC evening walk with the kids and puppy. We may have to move house to this gorgeous area
Suscoe headed for the Bundoora area on a mild day with a bit of sun, a bit of cloud and a mild breeze for a Summer's day.
20 caches visited and 20 caches found.
All caches are in good order and are well maintained by their owners, thank you.
Thanks to Ron.haha for this hide, walked past it once but not twice.
Log signed and on the road again.
No ducks nearby today.

After some walking on the well formed paths in this part of the park nirgalagrin (who had found it before) spotted the cache. It was then my turn to have the light bulb go off with n0w0rries following next. After retrieval by both my good self and n0w0rries we admired the plentiful number of ducks and had some lunch.
The next couple of days and the past week were not suitable for a walk but this particular day had a forecast temperature of somewhere in the mid to high 20s just perfect for a walk. I contacted n0w0rries and nirgalagrin to see whether they'd like to get some exercise and both replied in the affirmative.
So we all spent the next few hours in the southern part of Plenty Gorge Park walking along the extensive bike trails and crossing over the creek a couple of times.
All in all a top day with both n0w0rries and myself finding a nummber of caches whilst nirgalagrin could only log a select few seeing as he had already found the bulk of them.

A big day out in Plenty Gorge with leafotwind and nirgal.
Many caches found during a 6+ hour wander here this afternoon.
A bit of a detour from the plan to do this clever hide.
Cache soon found and logged as the family of ducks watched us.
The ducklings were having a great time, duck diving in the pond so we sat in the shade and watched them as we ate out lunch.
Thanks for this cache Ron.haha

Sadly I didn't find this one today. I was running out of time so I had to give up on my hunt, it didn't help my GPS was still playing up. But I did enjoy watching the duckling swim around the little pond.
Headed out tonight with Trailstevo for stomp around plenty gorge and surrounding. Plenty of roos about tonight and heard a Southern Boobook but other than that it was quiet on the wildlife front. Always good to get out a put a few smileys on the map. TFTC
Cleaning up the map in the Plenty Gorge area saw Gunks and myself picking up a few drivebys as well as about 6kms of walking amongst the roos. TFTC
This one was fantastic...wonderful initiative shown in the construction of this cache. Immeasurably good a fav point from us for sure.
Got here and ufortunately had to disturb some reluctant ducks. The cache was easy found but the mechanism is a bit shakey.
Found @17:30 with GeoPuppy in tow for his first find. Fantastic construction and nice area. TFTC!
Muggles were loitering right at the coordinates, so we waited and ate a few mandarins. Then, we wandered down and it took a few minutes before we looked in the right direction. Fantastic cache -- another good one from Ron.haha. Thanks for the fun!
Out for a caching run with Noelle04 and sog12, I arrived a bit early at this our meeting point so came to have a look for it. After a brief search I spotted something - ah ha!... A twist on a type I've encountered a few times before, the lead balloon worked well. Too good not to let the others find too - a few hints required so we could start our long walk... A favourite point from me.
Out for a long walk today with Noelle04 and quiet1_au, this was the first of the day and what a ripper. quiet1_au had found this while waiting for us to arrive, so, after waiting for a while, he nudged us in the right direction. Cleverly constructed and great fun. A favourite from me. Thanks Ron.haha.
1st for the day with sog12 & quiet1_au. Hoping the get my Hidden Creature Dragon today! This gets a fav for a well thought out cache with great construction. Quiet1 spotted this one while waiting for myself & sog12 to arrive at our starting point. Thanks Ron.haha looking forward to a fun day.
Found on my second visit. After checking the logs and confirming that I was just cache blind last time, it was nice to find it. Great approach to a cache, I haven't seen one like this before. I left my pen on my desk so couldn't sign the log.
Thanks
Thanks
Another very pleasant and varied Circuit 7 out of 7 found. Thank you for bringing us all to this lovely location. FP to come for this set as well.
Out around the area grabbing a few caches and we swung past the gz and had a bit of a search around and initially over thought this one before spotting something that required a closer look. A nifty little hide yet again Ron.haha, will give it a fave for the fun factor.
Walked around to this one not knowing what to expect at GZ. Sat down on the nearby wall and looked around while replacing my batteries. Quite a nice peaceful place here. As soon as i stood up I spotted what I wanted. I quickly signed in as there were workmen busy over the other side of the road.
Nice hard and thank you Ron.haha

The afternoon was looking OK for caching... it wasn't particularly sunny but it wasn't windy and it wasn't raining... and at this time of year you can't let that sort of opportunity go past. I specifically came to the Plenty Gorge Park because I needed five more caches with *Thorns!* attribute to qualify for a Challenge cache... and quite conveniently, that is exactly how many caches with that attribute were here for me to find.
I parked in Kariboo Grove (at the Greensborough end) and set off around the lower part of the part to the west of the Plenty River. Having completed my primary objective for the afternoon by finding *Plenty of Fruit at Happy Hollow* cache, it was time to head back to my car... the long way round to pick up the three caches in this area that I hadn't previously found. This was the final of those three and was a reasonably quick find... with a bit *deja vu!*
Thanks **Ron.haha** for putting this rather clever cache here... and isn't it strange that it has received so few Favourite Points in comparison to another one of your caches (which will remain nameless)... so I will give you one here too!

With another day off to keep my annual leave days low so as to be given bonus holidays I headed out on the bike in the perfect overcast weather so no sun screen was required. I had never been over this area of the city and was keen to check out this bushland and it's surrounds. Much steeper than I expected in some locations but some cool caches were found. It was awesome on Monday with virtually no muggles where ever I went compared to sometimes on the weekends when it is crazy.
After a ride around the bush for a little and a more leisurely ride along the side of the M80 I then continued around this area.
That's a pretty cool setup, never seen one quite like that. A favourite from me.
Thanks Ron.haha for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Found it finally! This was our second attempt and it took a team of 7 of us to find it. Very cleverly hidden.
Approached from the wrong side first. Had to wait for a lady walking a dog to pass pretended we were playing with the ducks. Walked over to the location. Had a look around oldest geokid spotted the cache which is a first for us of this kind. Very clever. Signed and let it go on its way

Awesome to find a cache this creative, although I’m pretty sure it resembles another cache nearby... never the less it was a great cache to have found after not geocaching for a while, I guess I found all the caches in the area . TFTC
Great hide on a nice day. People have been putting money in it so I dropped a $1 bill in also
Find number 6432 at 4:30:08 pm
On my way home from work and I needed some time out and what better way than to go geocaching for a while and this bunch on University Hill looks to fill the bill just nicely
Wandered around for a little surveying the area and considering where it might be and as I narrowed in on the GZ I spotted a telltale sign that drew me to the prize. Very nice hide and a favorite from me...
**Thanks for placing this cache Ron.haha**

Woohoo # It’s nice to get my first ton. Well done Ron, this was a great 100th cache. A first of this type for me. SL and left my tag which is not going cause any overload issues. We will have to start calling Gyro Gearloose after this one. A great spot to for the kids with an assortment of wildlife
Once again thanks Ron

The price of enjoying the first day I've had the house to myself without any obligations was, of course, having to go out later if I wanted to keep this streak going. So, after cooking the traditional pancakes for dinner and keeping an eye on the kids while the better half did a spot of shopping, I finally got a chance to duck out.
Another quick jaunt around the Ring Road, and no real need to navigate, knowing what part of this estate the cache was situated. In the dark for the short walk, it was just me... and a couple of dozen hoppy guardians. The roos certainly didn't seem all that perturbed by my presence, and they didn't bother me.
The reason for the cache's name was immediately apparent when I reached the coordinates. Nice mechanism, Ron.haha.

The mention of Denmark reminded me of one of your other caches and that meant a pretty quick find... although the ducks having a kip at GZ were less than impressed! Tftc
Things are not going well for me at the moment which has caused me to spend way to much time inside on the couch. The missus had a plan to remedy that today and kicked us all out to go caching. I really love her sometimes
Plenty Gorge was our target as it was close and with the weather looking like we might get a bit wet it seemed ideal. We have of course been here having snagged a couple of Ron.haha's other caches (and even a few FTF's) but had not really explored the gorge as much as we would have liked.
Our first stop was here. After reading the description I was intriuged, we have always enjoyed finding this CO's caches as they are always great hides. Many swear words have been spoken while trying to locate some of the tricky hides, and having cached in Europe myself and seeing some of the great hides there I was really looking forward to this.
We arrived quite close to GZ and the 4 of us started a search, well me and the missus started searching while the kids looked at the ducks. There is a well worn geo-trail here that I followed but all that I ended up with was prickles. Then the missus spotted the cache, but not the means of retrieving it. Another short look and we were signing the log.
A great hide, this is now the second time we have seen this style. Thanks for the great work Ron.haha and the reason to get out of the house, you have really cheered me up.

After a good day in the area last night, we returned to find five more this evening. Quick find as the first for the night. TFTC.
TFTC, out hunting with ms-raisin, eldest geoson had the GPS and called out "it says it's around here!" then ms-raisin calls out "found it"
Quick find on this well constructed cache, came over here with Geo-wife and
Geo-dog in training, so the attention span is limited, and being a toy poodle his
little nose was in to everything, so what ever it was he was covered in sticky seeds
of some type, so we had to sit on a bench close by to pick them out.
Thanks Ron.haha

Fantastic cache Ron.haha, took a little time but I was very happy to find this one. I looked over and seen a car in the driveway, but continued on to the next cache. the grass seeds stuck to everything. Left a couple of coins. A favorite.

After attending a medical appointment in Bundoora the weather was not TOO hot for a short caching expedition in this small piece of parkland.
There were tradesmen constructing a house frame in direct view of GZ and ants which bit my feet after I stood on their home. And while signing the log I sat on a pile of thistles which I had to remove one by one from my shorts and shirt.
I did enjoy listening to the frogs croaking and watching the mother duck and her two adolescent ducklings swimming in the pond before I walked back to my car and it's airconditioning.
Thankyou Ron.haha for another interesting cache.

A real surprise at this cache for a number of reasons. While I was checking my meter I noticed I was being watched by a couple in the house over the road. The male occupant rode over on his bicycle and asked me where my meter was pointing to. I asked him if it was his cache and he replied 'yes' so I realised it was Ron.
A bit more looking and I changed my angle of view and it was quickly found. Should have remembered Ron used a similar method on another park cache

It took me a while but then I reread the clue below and soon had the measure of this cache. Quite clever really. Ducks and ducklings a swimming and lots of frog noise. Very pleasant. TFTC.
Didn’t want to make heavy work of this cache so made measures to ensure I was able to make light of it. I pumped some iron before leaving home, chalked up my hands and put on my weight lifting belt......all necessary when dealing with lead!!
Ok, too many comments about weight has gone down like a lead balloon !!! Sorry.
I was first to sign the log after admiring the different bird life. I listened too,but couldn’t spot, at least two types of frogs as well. A pleasant place to hang out on a warm spring day. TFTC

Arriving quickly from work, but not quick enough getting 2nd place, searched for a long time in the wrong place and direction after misinterpreting the name. After an adjustment , I spotted the cache from afar and soon had it in hand. The ducks resting nearby were unmoved whilst all my shenanigans were going on.
Thanks for the cache here
