M24: A nice and easy cache to find while out and about today collecting caches in this area. TFTC.

22-Jul-22
Up in the big city from Nelson for a weekend of aikido and I seem to have found an AirBnB that is the farthest from any cache anywhere in Auckland.

So I treated myself to a 10 minute walk to this, the closest (known) cache thinking that a D/T wouldn't be that bad...a nice quick find.

Pfft! I think I knew what I was looking for...maybe the darkness didn't help. Anyway, there was only so long I could spend going over the same structure before deciding that I wasn't going to find it tonight.

31-Jan-22
Well hidden thank you Smile

28-Jan-22
Blending well!

With excellent weather this morning and a few hours spare before I have to start work, it was an easy decision to come back for a wander along Oakley Creek and find some caches--even though I've done this walk many times, there are still more caches here for me to find. This was one I had looked for previously but at completely the wrong level and in a rush. Today I had more time so realised where I was meant to be looking, and had the cache in hand after a small climb. Perfect condition, all good here. TFTC

26-Jun-21
After crossing the bridge I fired up the phone to see a low number of metres to the GZ. Initially at the wrong level we headed down, then I reached up and grabbed the cache. All good here, thanks connollytribe.

The weekend's here and I have an 8-day I'm looking to get up to a minimum of 10, hopefully more. I've been solving a few puzzles over the last week or so and have built up a fine selection of find options, and am keen to dip into those this weekend, and to explore some area that are fairly new to me and a little further away than my usual local ones.
The weather held off for the time we were on the trail(s) and I did some drive-by scoping for future entry points etc which was useful too. Thanks to all COs for their caches today.

Great day for a bike ride with Vistra & AliGli, with our main aim to complete the Adventure Lab from Mangere to Westgate. After catching up with my daughter and her fiance for breakfast this morning, I headed off to find a few caches. I decided to head for the Oakley Creek Walkway and Northwestern Cycleway. This was the first cache I came to. It wasn't an immediate find but following the hint I investigated a few spots and eventually got my hand on it. TFTC, Biggles.

15-Feb-20
Aaah yes just where we expected it to be TFTC

20-Oct-19
Good one. Enjoyed this hide. Thanks. So many sweet spots it could have been in.

13-Oct-19
This cache was a good one. The Auckland caches are normally pretty simple. Tftc says Mafrika from Germany

05-Aug-19
Yet another squall passing through as the vehicle was being parked. Walked over the bridge and followed the GPS. Lead directly to a likely hiding spot. With a bit of blind hunting the cache came to hand. Unsurprisingly nobody passed during the search. Only mad geocachers out and about it seems. TFTC

27-Jul-19
This time I could see it. Thanks for the cache.

14-Jul-19
Wow nearly gave up! Fun! But we kept going and got it!

13-Jul-19
Aquinos and I almost went the wrong way to get to this cache but once we were at GZ it was a surprisingly easy find. TFTC!

13-Jul-19
3/50 Awesome hide, third find for the day, the ultimate goal being 50 today!

11-Jul-19
Found it

26-May-19
Find number 5586. I was up trying to find some of my solved caches. This was on my way to one of these so picked up. Thought I knew where it would be but not so. Then rechecked my GPS and read some more. Changed my position and soon had the cache in hand. Thank you for the placement.

#780. If I didn't find this one, it would be four DNFs in a row for me, which I believe would be a record. So that was NOT going to happen. So when I approached GZ, and saw stairs, I just about collapsed in a heap. Oh no!!!

Fortunately, I read through previous logs, which really narrowed down the hide. And shortly after I had the cache in my hot little hand! A surprising number of bicycle muggles went past, but they caused me no drama.

I replaced the snaplock bag containing the log, as it was disintegrating a bit.

Earlier today, I had a mission to try and set a record for 200 caches in one day. That went spectacularly bad - I only ended up getting 14 before my car broke down - you can read about it in my log for [GC4WCKK](http://coord.info/GC4WCKK). Despite that, I wanted to at least get to 30 today, so I set about getting caches around Waterview and Oakley Creek on foot. This was my tenth find for the afternoon and 24th overall today.

Thank you very much for the cache!!!!

Parked at Bollard Avenue and walked to GZ. Would have been a long, long search if not for the hint... So it took me semi-long. Smile Nice wee climb. Had the smallest of Greenkiwikids with me, so we signed as "Team Piraten". TFTC

We started our last day in New Zealand with the visit of the virtual cache in Whangarei. Maybe the museum is open for our next visit in NZL - in Germany some projects take a bit more time than expected. After that we visited Ruakaka and did the Letterbox. We cleaned the box from all that colour coming from the stamps. If I'm coming back home to Germany with red fingers, that's my souvenir. Then we had a awesome walk at the beach with the RBT-Caches. Although we found only one of them, we had a great time near the horse track and at the beach and took a lot of beautiful pictures. We also tried some of the caches a bit more south in Ruakaka but they've been to difficult for us. On the way to Auckland we had a last fotostop with a nice view and a quick and easy grab. Finally we found the "Bike and Find" near our campground, though we had no bikes with us but at home we do a lot of caches this way.

A warm evening finding a run of caches in Mt Albert and Oakley Creek. TFTC!

21-Feb-19
Fantastic hiding place

19-Feb-19
I decided to take advantage of a fine day of summer and spend part of the day finding geocaches. So, with the morning chores out of the way and the traffic situation much improved, I headed out the door. I parked up at the end of Soljak Place and took the bridge towards GZ. I wasn't sure which level I should be on, until I was in the right place. Missed the hide on the first pass, but got it on the second after trying a few other spots. Cheers for the cache placement!

04-Feb-19
Nice quick find today, thank you Supernanny. I must have searched that place twice and missed it each time...cheers V.

26-Jan-19

05-Dec-18
Nice little cache to seek and find while on a run/walk .... crawl

18-Nov-18
This evening I accessed the Waterview Shared Path from Soljak St, and walked over the bridge to GZ. Once at the correct level the cache was quickly in hand. Looks like another useful piece of cycle and walking infrastructure - with room for a few more caches. Thanks for showing us.

01-Oct-18
Found on our trip to Queensland (for the triathlon world championships - representing GB Age Group Team), New Zealand and Singapore.
Thanks to all the cache owners.

Was going so fast on the bike, I over shot and had to back track a little.
No problem with finding and on my way. Tftc

20-Aug-18
Staying with my brother for a couple of days to attend a concert and this was nearby his place. After checking out the train station so this small town country kid can make her way into town later, we walked here so he could show me where this walk was and I could find a cache or two. He tolerates my geocaching but secretly I think he likes it as he made all the finds today. I was in the right spot but just not quite tall enough. This is my first find in Auckland

29-Jul-18
Always driving past here so today decided to stop & grab after a spot of caching in Devonport. Nice quick find between muggies.
Very cool walkway/cycleway here.

30-Jun-18
A nice walk to GZ as Mr P and I streched our legs after all that rain. T4tc

30-Jun-18
Parked up a couple of hundred metres away and walked down the cycle path to GZ. Nice quick find and then continued on. TFTC!!!

02-Apr-18
Nice quick little find today. Drove by this on Saturday, but did not have time to stop. Perfect timing to extract and replace container between passing muggles. TFTC

24-Feb-18
I regularly bike past here on the way home from work, but are never in a mood to look for a cache, more looking forward to a cold drink and a shower!
A few minutes to spare on the way to picking up Mrs sp8 from work so stopped in here. Quickly spotted retrieved and signed. As leaving spotted another couple of cachers coming in.

TFTC

24-Feb-18

27-Jan-18
Came here just as it started to rain so we made use of some shelter and were able to locate the cache. Very impressive cycle way and love the little bike ramps on the stairs. TFTC

20-Jan-18
Sneaky hide, bit of shade here as well, TFTC

31-Dec-17
Checked out the new cycle path previously, so today it was a special trip to grab a cache on the last day of 2017, and hopefully win a souvenir. TFTC.

30-Dec-17
Found on my bike, as suggested.

26-Dec-17
This is a fantastic new cycle/walkway and we enjoyed a nice walk along it on this Boxing Day morning. There were a few cyclists around but not enough to impede our search and a systematic approach soon revealed where it was hiding.
Thanks connollytribe for the cache placement, great spot.

17-Dec-17
well i was ridding my new bike so this was an apporpiate cache, had to streah and feel for this one.

13-Dec-17
Once I figured out from where to look, it was an quick find for me. I just wish they would build roads as good as they build these paths. From the size of it, they must be expecting some heavy traffic. Smile TFTC.

09-Dec-17
Decembers Monthly Geocaching Meetup was to hit the Oakley Creek Walkway. Just myself and Yorkshirekiwi83 this time. The sun was pretty warm so was keen to keep to the older track in the shade.

Another nice simple cache in a nice location
