Construction/ roadworks going on so not sure if its within the barriers and therefore not accessible too many workers around so had to leave
Came back for a very quick find - parked cars providing a good stealth screen. Container is missing the lid so log a little damp but seemed like it was waterproof paper so had no trouble writing with pen after wiping it dry. Good start to the new year! TFTC
Find number 12732 at 9:18:44am on Wednesday the 13 December 2023Time to use up a travel voucher before it expires on December 31 so I hatched a plan for a day trip to Sydney to do some LGA's and SideTracked geocaches. First flight out of Melbourne in the morning and last flight back in the evening, it turned out to be a long day, up a 3:30 and back home at half past midnight for a total of nineteen geocaches, thirteen SideTracked and nine LGA's Took a little bit but spotted in the end.**Thanks for placing this cache ziggiau**---Don't miss finishing the Ballarat GeoTour before it ends on 4th March 2024. A list of the geocaches can be found [here](https://coord.info/BM9GWJ5). The final GeoTour Event is the [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) on the 18th February 2024!You can also get prepared for the 2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards by checking out our preliminary lists [here](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists/).
Tried for this on Monday arvo but aborted search due to construction work close to the hide, with workers sitting in cars in front of GZ. Maybe put off this one until work is finished?
I could not find this one. the app was pointing 5m over the fence, but that's not anything new in this game...
Sneaky little bugger!
Came here for a super late lunch after the bike ride. The Japanese restaurant around the corner is great!
I read the hint and interpreted it wrong but after pacing back and forth and systematically checking I was able to make the tiny find. TFTC

Cache is still in place with plenty of space left on the log. If replaced correctly, it shouldn’t get wet.
Spotted what was different- but spent a lot of time looking with Nicole and no luck for us
Pretty sure we interpreted the clue correctly but no luck today - hopefully next time
Found after realizing what the hint meant. Don’t know if the container had a lid but it’s missing tho the contents are dry. TFTC
We have arrived in Sydney on a mission to find caches in LGA's we don't have.
We have been expertly advised and guided by Nana Nel in completing this task. Today we ticked off 5 and enjoyed the sights along the way.
Many thanks to all CO's for placing caches and helping us achieve our goals.

Couldn't resist stopping for one more on the way to the airport. Thought the construction works were going to have it fenced off but all good!
Another hot day and some more caches were calling, so it was out on the hunt with goingplaces2. Managed to find the ones we wanted and found enough before heading back to cool off again. This one was fairly quickly found, signed and replaced. TFTC.
We went out on a a cache hunt with ilook4geo and stopped to have a look for this cache. This cache was not too hard to find after we worked out where the hint was referring to and we soon put both names on the log to mark our visit. Thank you to ziggiau for placing this cache and for adding to the sidetracked series of caches.
Needed to pickup geoson#1 from the airport domestic terminal at 5 pm today and, after finishing work at 2 pm, I had a few hours to kill and some geocaching was the obvious choice of time filling activity. Visited the suburbs of Marrickville, Hurlstone Park, Canterbury, and Campsie, where I returned to a previously DNFed cache and collected a previously solved Mystery/Puzzle cache and a few Traditional caches. This was the 5th of 5 finds for the afternoon.
This one was next, and it was a nice quick find on arrival at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Afterwards I took a stroll up onto the pedestrian bridge and snapped a photo of a train passing beneath, then it was time to head back to the airport for the geoson pickup.
Thanks ziggiau for another SideTracked cache to add to our growing collection.

Map cords made it seem kinda impossible, but actually a pretty easy find. Tftc!
kinda spewing that I couldn’t find it because of how much it’s overgrown sucks. Oh well..
We looked on what We thought was the different section, but could not locate it. Just found a lot of old vapes.
Once I negotiated the streets then went through the overgrown bits I had the CIH. TFTC!
OCW Nateve101 but even with two of us couldn’t find it; and we weren’t hopeful after recent DNFs :/
Searched on the ground, hoping to find where it was buried. Unfortunately not successful.
Found today while out and about with the wife. Signed dsd or Darksidedan or AB or Adventure Boys to save space in the logbook thanks for the cache and the adventure. Included is a random photo from my day.
Some of the messages seem misleading about the fence. It’s still accessible! Very small
What a cute little cache! Found it on the ground in the open. Replaced in the obvious hidden spot.

No fenced off area here (perhaps it was the temp one just during the first part of Feb?). New container in place and good to go again.
Hi, just letting you know, a new fence has been erected here which stops access anymore, unfortunately nobody will be able to get to this cache
The hint really helped then it was a matter of feeling. Thankfully not many people around.
On our way home from lunch with family, picked a cache for IGD. Signed log and replaced. Thanks to ziggiau.
TFTC,
It seems that today has filled up with all things social and there is no time to get to an Event on International Geocaching Day,
After heading across Sydney for a family lunch at Abortsford, it was time to return to another get together with friends for dinner and a long night sharing great company.
The problem was that since I couldn't get to an Event, getting the Souvenir required me to find a cache and this cache was a very short detour which muggle passengers seemed happy with.
In a hurry so resorted to checking the hint out and soon had cache in hand, signed the log and returned to it's place of residence.
Sidetracked for a Souvenir.
Visited trackables.

We were very fortunate to get a parking spot very close to GZ. Despite accurate coordinates, it took a couple of minutes of hunting before the cache was located in a good hide. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks ziggiau for the cache.
Blast. DNF. I had a good few sweeps at what I thought was the hint item. Unfortunately nothing dropped into my hand. Further down the line it is then!
#1625 Fourth of five quick and easy finds after breakfast in the inner west with Rieka. TFTC
Nice little opportunistic find for us. Today we have covered the city from Manly to North Sydney to Kogarah to Campsie. Ended up in Campsie because we ran over a bolt which embedded in our tyre. Hmmm... Let's get straight over to Mathews Tyres and sort it out. Hmm.. what to do while waiting? check for unfound caches in the area. Bingo! We parked behind the Campsie RSL and walked over to GZ across the pedestrian bridge. Enjoyed learning the history and the future plans too. The hint proved useful. Thanks for the entertainment. SL TFTC Cheers.... Gaztek
ziggiau I found your cache SideTracked - Campsie (NSW) on 9/2/19, 2:40 pm. This is my find 2265 and find # 10 today. Using the hint for a quick find. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN
I had planned to pick up the nearby "Mind Control" but its logs suggested it's not there so I crossed the footbridge over Cooks River and walked on to pick up this one, which was found thanks to the hint.
Good one, thanks ziggiau.
Good one, thanks ziggiau.
SideTracked find 27. I managed a parking spot; I think maybe the only one in the parking area. By chance, it turned out to be right in front of the cache. A quick find. TFTC ziggiau.

Now I’m having to widen my trip to and from work due to my streak, I’m coming out this way.
Good coords, and a quick find.... log was moist, so I took it back to car and dried it out with the aircon. All good now.
Cheers

Quick find as per the hint as I walked straight up to it. Container a bit damp, but Fridays heatwave might have sort that issue out, thanks ziggiau
Cleaning up a couple on my map and grabbing this one to keep my streak going.
The GZ coords are spot on with no GPS swinging issues.
A little water had got into the cache but the log is still decent.
Thanks.

In Sydney today and took the opportunity to grab a few caches in local government areas where I have yet to make a find. Canterbury Bankstown was one of those, but not any more. A straightforward find here ... was even able to get a parking spot close by, which was a bit of a surprise. Thanks for placing this cache ziggiau ... I must have a look out for more in this sidetracked series as they'd be good to do by train.
forgot to log! Didn't bring the pen so took a photo to prove. Gosh didn't pay attention to the cars parked behind me, but at the end when I turned around to leave...there were three people in different cars curiously looking at me!!! Oh dear how weird I looked like...thanks for hiding this cache here!!
Out West today and made a small diversion for this one on the journey home. Hint was very helpful but I still need to not look so dodgy with parked cars around. Sorry on pen but have a nice (spoiler) pic if necessary. TFTC # 606
A quick find with P1ccolo after a lion dance in the nearby Station House Hotel. Thanks for the cache!
Nice and easy find. Was in the area today with Anominous Sign and decided to go for an impromptu hunt.
Found with sister! #teamwork. Couldn't pencil it in as we forget to bring a pen but loved the spot!
I'm loving this series.
Not only are they quick easy caches, great for keeping that streak going but they are completely accessible by public transport.
I've always been fascinated by trains and love travelling around on them. I can remember as a kid eagerly looking out of the window at all the works yards around Eveleigh and checking out what was going on. When we went on country trips I used to write down all the stations we passed through.
I even know a bit about some lines around Sydney which were closed due to lack of patronage. Some of these lines were designed by my great grandfather. Funny thing now they are building new lines to these areas - now what foresight did great grandfather have that the government of the times did not!
I'm also enjoying reading the history of stations with caches, like Campsie, and I've gone onto the website and found lots more historical stuff about Sydney rail lines that fascinates me.
I thought I'd been to Campsie before when I was a kid but wasn't sure. Today as I walked to the cache things looked familiar and memories came flooding back. We used to get the train to Campsie and walk to the Canterbury Ice Rink.
TFTC ziggiau, well worth a favourite point!

Found this one last night but log seamed wet so came back the smorning to sign. Signed log ok and put back at gz between passing muggles. TFTC
My first for the day out with Rainbow Spirit. He made a quick find while I checked the other side!?!

TFTC,
Quick and easy find. Decided to go for a walk to try out the new camera. Saw 2 trains which was nice for my younger brother.

Just the one today, later in the afternoon.
Decided on this one - the last one (as of today) in the *SideTracked* series I still had not found.
Not a lot of parking, but I could have got a bit closer than I did. One area immediately caught my attention, but somehow I neither saw nor felt it. As a result I went further afield with still no joy.
Checked the hint - strongly suggests that first spot. Hmmm.
So went back to it and had that headslap moment. How did I miss that the first time?
Made the grab and complted signing duties. Then replaced and time for the walk back to *The Hademobile*.

It was a frustrating fight for a parking spot, only for a 1 minute stop for the cache.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Sunday morning so it's pretty quiet around here. As I approached GZ from the overpass I could see it out in the open. After signing I then had to wait for a muggle in his car who pulled up just as I was about to replace it! A few minutes later he was gone and I replaced it so it was hidden but still in same location. Another blank calendar day filled in. Time to head home for breakfast. TFTC
Cords pretty spot and thanks to the hint we found pretty quickly. Love the waterproof paper.
Parked outside the nearby school and walked up to GZ where it was a quick find thanks to the generous hint. TFTC ziggiau.
I got side-tracked for a while this afternoon. First at Campsie, then Lakemba, then Wiley Park! TFTC ziggiau
