The outer container has been removed by someone, and the logbook and pen left out in the open. We are unable to replace the container as it was a one-off, designed for the location. Thanks to everyone who enjoyed this cache and left such positive feedback for us.

Visited this cache today to make sure it was all OK. Lots of waterfowl on the flooded margins of the Tamar today but pretty sure we should re-name this "goose goose duck". We found the pencil we had left in the cache on the ground, probably someone has dropped this accidentally when they've opened the container. So what! I reckon, a cacher that doesn't carry their own pen.....well you know. The pencil is back and the cache is all OK.

We had some time this afternoon for some more caches and so we set about finding some up this side of the river.
Thanks to Berrybenders for this hide, a lovely view across to the river with lots of geese, ducks and other water birds.

Repairs have been completed and the cache is back on line. Hopefully we can keep this cache going. It's been muggled a few times but because it's such a great spot we thought it was worth persevering. Hope you enjoy it.

We're currently spending a lazy couple of days in Launceston, hanging out with friends and doing a little caching on the side. Today we set out with SonOfSteel to explore Notley Gorge, and pick up a few caches along the way.

We figured we'd make a little detour to Windsor Park on our way, thanks to there being this cache and a few others nearby that would help us collect some clues for the current "Mystery at the Museum" promotion.

After picking up a couple of other caches nearby, we made a beeline for the wetlands and this cache. What a lovely spot! We loved the views of the river, and the variety of birdlife we encountered along the way. And the cache container definitely gave us a good chuckle!

Thanks for a fun cache in a great spot!

We were alerted to an issue with this cache (thanks Cookpod) and today were able to check the hide. Recent floods have not been kind to Duck, Duck, Goose. We've replaced the logbook and it's back up and running. One-eyed birdwatchers are now fully catered for.

Cool container

Considering we walked from the last cache it didnt take us long and it was a quick find as we were going to be late for the event on the other side of town defiantly now.
A very good container that suits the spot so well, we were lucky that no one else was here so we could mess about a bit taking some pictures that cant be in the logs as they would spoil it for others.

Thanks for a great cache perfect!

Myself and goose of gooseandegg planned a trip North into the badlands to get some caches to help with our hidden creatures finds, early start for a Saturday with me picking Goose up at around 7 O'clock even with a couple of stops along the way we made good time which helped us to clock up 42 finds on the Saturday and 24 on the Sunday before heading back to the civilised South, getting back in my drive at just gone 6pm with 580kms under my belt, 66 caches in 35 hours while not a bad haul is less than 2 an hour, I must try harder next time!

Found at 11:57 on 08/07/2018

Yeah well done. This is a a top spot and a top hide nicely in keeping with the the theme of the area. I would have liked to hang out with my feathered friends a bit longer but we still had to get back to the car and to the 12 noon event. It's 11.57am. Yep late for sure.
But I'm glad we didn't skip skip this cache to be on time. Favourite point for sure!

P.S. while we were there it was Duck, Duck, Goose, Goose, Rat Wink

Great area to place a cache in. The view from the shelter is very picturesque. We had used this type of container for one of our caches in Kempton but unfortunately it was muggled - we hope yours has a long life. Thanks for the cache.

Ewe found it

Hi Berrybender
After finding "Wobbly Windsor" we started the great walk to this cache
Budge was looking at his phone and I told him stop - a small tiger snake was on the track - his reaction here was almost as god as that at "Mysterious and Spooky;" but not quite as spectacular
After it slithered into the reeds, we continued on to a very beautiful location for a cache
Great "hide" with great views - thanks for bringing me here
Sainted quickly at 1532 hours
Will remember this spot for a while
TFTC and cheers

Quack, Quack, Honk !! Razz
This was a nice stroll Big Grin
Out in the reeds,
I searched as I pleased,
and there were no muggle about Smile

Plenty of swans,
native hens,
swamp hens,
and a few ducks Big Grin

And out by the hide,
where no birds were actually hiding,
I think I have discovered a little known bit of Aussie history [:o]

Ned Kelly was a bird-watcher !! Smile

TFTC.

Love the ... ahem !! ... camo Razz

After finding GA11217 and GC7E1P3 we continued our ride down to the bird hide. My 6 year old helper found this one and was impressed by what it was. He really wanted the bird but I had to explain that it wasn't a swap!!!
Thanks for the smiley and another original hide.
Another favourite point awarded here.

Flew over to Launceston for a days caching to escape Melbourne’s heat.
I think that it is just as hot over here.
The roads are nice and quiet today so it made for an enjoyable day picking up random caches.
Thanks to all of the CO’s for giving me a good excuse to come over for the day.
Noticed the 4 green dots on my map at Windsor and had to try and turn them into smileys before I return home.
Took a couple of wrong paths at first ( I think the heat is getting to me) but I eventually made it to GZ.
I thought not many places to hide a cache here and the second place I looked I found the clever cache.
Left a PT for the next finder.
A favourite goes out to you fun Cache.
Thanks Berrybender TFTC

Hi Berrybender, maybe it was an optical illusion, but we could not see any ducks or geese. Not even with our own glasses.
Great walk and great spot thanks for the cache. Did not notice any TB

Back in Tassie finding caches that have been published since our visit.

An easy find at GZ and adding to our favourites. Left TB.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

27-Dec-17
We were caching in the area and enjoyed the walk to GZ, being wary of snakes as very warm. A favourite for the clever hide. TFTC

23-Dec-17
The cache is useless could not see through it due to the log and toys. All ok TFTC.

07-Dec-17
Had a spare hour this evening before a meeting, so decided it would be a good chance to grab the four caches at Windsor. The batteries in my Garmin went flat when I started looking for the first one on my list, but I managed to find it anyway. I then decided that two of the remaining three would be unlikely finds without any electronic assistance, but this one might just be achievable as, from memory, there would be a limited search area. I just had to find my way to the right area. That wasn't as easy I expected, and I ended up walking about 1km more than necessary. I headed down one path that seemed to be going to the river's edge but come to a dead end in the middle of the ricegrass. I eventually found the right path and came to the spot. Some ducks, no geese, but lots of swans here tonight. I now had the problem of nothing to point me to GZ, and no hints or other details with me. So I resorted to looking in places where I would hide a cache, and in very short time had a most intriguing object in hand. TNL 1949 halfpenny. TFTC which will get a favourite point from me for both the clever container and the view.
