Our last day here so quickly rounded up this little series, some interesting containers, some long grass!,, hence the boots and trousers, some wet logs but all good
In Charters for a few hours only. Time to get a couple of these on the way in. Thanks.
Finally have phone reception on our road trip north so found this one quickly thanks to great co-ordinates. Tftc
Didn't find this as quickly as I'd expected but it sort of blended in well and my gps was in and out but eventually saw it. Thanks for placing it.
A not so quick find with frmen1. Not the safest parking for a car...would be better on bike as you indicated. TFTC
Arrived from Townsville today and setup the caravan at the Big4. Decided to get the bikes down and have a ride around and see what we could get.
Thanks EatSleepCacheOnline for the caches.

Out and about caching in and around Charter Towers today. Caches visited took us too many spots with many varied caches of different sizes/shapes. Thank you for placing the caches in their locations. TFTC
After caching having to be abandoned at about midday yesterday because of the rain, today was going to be a very busy day discovering the many different places around this historical town. Thanks to the COs who have placed caches in the area for us to find.
Day 11 of the long road trip from Western Australia to Townsville, Queensland.
Today was caching south of Charters Towers then north of the town where a first to find was jagged before returning and caching within Charters Towers. The second Adventure Lab and associated Bonus cache was also completed.
This cache was found without problems. Log signed and the cache returned as it was found.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for geocachers to find.

Tree has most definitely been removed as it’s laying on the ground with no sign of the cache. Same cache container type. Nearby location.
Coongoola and geodog Buddy are making our way towards Townsville where the Mega is being held.
Thanks to the CO for replacing this one.

Heading out on the trail for a few quick caches before lunch. This was the first of what we hope will be a clean sweep. Drove past but Mrs SKI walked back and made a quick find.
Our first full day in Charters Towers, and we decided to head out reasonably early as it is forecast to be quite warm. We targeted a variety of cache types including Adventure Lab, puzzle, traditional multi and Wherigo. All successful with no DNFs. Even managed to pick up one we think we looked for but could not find last time we were here.
What a lovely old town Charters Towers is. We particularly like seeing the range of old buildings on offer.
Thank you to the local COs for developing and maintaining the caches for us to find. It is much appreciated.

Just 17 finds today. We have almost come to the end of our stay in Charters Towers. Last night we had a great "catch up" with the locals. Today we thought it would be nice to attempt the local power trail and then head out to the weir. We got side tracked on our way back and logged a couple more.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache pretty close to where the GPS said he should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards

Staying in Charters Towers so headed out to grab some caches in the area. After doing a few others in town I headed out to grab this short power trail. The grass was long in places but all caches were found and once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Worked my way through a couple of this series, but the long grass was a deterrent to doing all of them. I actually started from the other end and this was the last for me today in this series. TFTC.
Found with orth71 on a trip to Charters Towers.
Instead of the Mega in Dayboro we came to the Towers to cache.
Doing this trail.

I have been looking forward to completing this little trail since meeting ECSO at the GIFF event. It was a great little start of the trail. Also, a classic song.

Cairns trip 2019. Day 28. This was the second day of my drive home and I traveled from Reid River to Barcaldine via Charters Towers, Torrens Creek and Aramac.
There are still plenty of caches to do around Charters towers, but I did not have much time with a long drive ahead of me. I stopped for this one to make sure the day was not wasted.
Thanks.

A nice fine, sunny morning in Charters Towers and we decided to walk along this Power Trail looking for caches while we got a bit of exercise.
This was our first find after parking the geomobile. Having read previous logs it seemed some folks had found the cache several metres from their GZ, but for us it was only 2 metres away.
Log signed and we were on our way. Many thanks for the hide Sobingtons

Decide to tackle this short PT before leaving CT tomorrow, An easy find at this one. TFTC.
The gps and the phone agreed on the GZ, but I found nothing there. I widened the search area and located the cache about 10 meters away. Neat container.
with hint after yesterdays DNF we soon had this one in hand and log signed

Grey nomading and caching our way from Adelaide to Mareeba we stopped just outside of town for a week. Came in to do shopping and caching. Thanks for the cache trail. Loved all the different ones.
TFTC. We had camped overnight at Macrossan Park and needed to be in Charters Towers next day to have a new windscreen fitted to the Motorhome. This meant we had a bit of time to explore. We decided to use geocaching as a guide. We would have liked to tackle the multis but thought that the trades would have to be sufficient until we visit again. We managed 16 finds for the day and lunch in the hotel. Good day and we had a new windscreen so we could continue our journey. Thanks to the COs in the area.
First find in this for us today
Definately took us linger than it should have

Quick find. Nice to find a brand new container not full or covered with cobwebs.
Om a work trio today. Starter with a cache here.
My phone had me 100 meters away on a private property until i got out of the car.
Once at the right place it was easier.

Quick find as we headed back into town and chores, after finding the second one in the series. Thanks for the cache Sobingtons.
Took ferals number 4 out to get her first **FTF** while the boys were not with us. Usually the boys are fighting over who is going to find the cache so it was nice to let her have a go this afternoon. TFTF.
