Logs
We're heading to New Plymouth for an event we had on. Although there's a severe weather warning, that won't stop us from geocaching!
Quick find. Roma but to get log out but after a bit of tapping the log was soon signed and replaced.
I wrote in the log and placed the cache back as found. TFTCSL, Thanks MIOW4 for this Traditional cache.

Didn’t have a pen as was walking the dog with kids, but this ‘screwed’ with us for a bit
I was scratching my head trying a number of places, when along came a couple of locals walking the track. I figured they were locals when one calls out are you caching, and then gives me a big nudge as to where I should actually be looking. A very cool hide here which I may not have found without help, TFTC
Took our first walk along this section of the walkway today and found this cleverly placed gem! Love that we can feel like we are miles away from anywhere while being so close to the city. Tftc
This was our last cache in NP today as we needed to start making tracks for home.
We initially checked out the wrong side of the track and then the hiding place was spotted and the cache was quickly in hand after that.
Many thanks for putting this here for us to find.

On a road trip today with Mrs Rattll started off in the dark so would reach our first cache of the day as daylight hit. No muggles here today nice find log signed and cache placed back where found. TFTC lovely walk here today just got back to the car before it started to rain.
I was in the area today and wanted to find a cache while out so when I spotted a park I decided to find this cache.
At GZ I was searching for a normal nano and was worried I wouldn't find this when I tried another approach with luck - also I had started at the wrong end.
FP from me as this cache looks right at home and is very well done.

Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
We soon had another good cache located.
*Nice short walk to cache, looked in quite a few places before spotting it!*

with some spare time in the Area there was nothing else to do but go geocaching
many thanks

Woah! Such a good hiding spot. Looked for it about a while ago but found it now . #163. TFTC.
I had come into town to do some jobs and I ended up waiting nearby to see if the person who had brought some stuff off me was home. While I was waiting, I whipped out my phone and saw this was nearby, so I made my way to the entrance to the walk and quickly made my way here.
Having found this before, I figured it would be easy. I knew where I needed to look but I couldn't remember what I was looking for but then after a few minutes I found it. Again. All good here, just a bit covered in ants and the log itself was a out sticky so it wasn't easy to unroll.

Looked for about 20min...disappointed!! Had fun though. Couple of trees have fallen down in this area with council cleaning up.. hope that hasn’t affected cache. Will be back
Love the self referential oxymoronic cache title! Odd that the cache is sized as an other when the cache title clearly states the cache is a micro (these kinds of detail slips irk me. I just have to live with it, I guess). Was having trouble finding the blighter and had a look at the logs to see if the cache was still there. after that it was an easy find.
Day fourteen of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki, starting from Palmerston North. Today is wandering about New Plymouth. It's Boxing Day! Merry Christmas everyone!!
Highlights:
* 3 weeks, 536 caches
* Mt Taranaki had been removed for washing, which was a bit of a shame. Even after it had been returned we were only allowed to see it for it was less than half an hour a day.
* High percentage of caches with crappy coordinates
* Amazing Pukekura Park
* AMAZING Pukekura Park light show!
* Pukeiti Gardens
* Lots of cache maintenance!

Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](https://coord.info/GC87777) - you won't want to miss it!

This nano took some time to locate. Thankfully other logs helped us locate this elusive one so we could get it tagged. Cheers
Day 14 - Boxing Day, Thursday 26 December. Around New Plymouth again today then started moving north. .
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

Easy to extract with my pen,must be a new logsheet as I'm only second person on it.
Had a look here for about 20mins, couldn't find anything that looked out of place. Didn't know this walkway was here so thanks for bringing us here. Will try again another day.
Looked for this one today with Juliusfamily, we couldn't find it. Lovely walk though.
Great camo, earns a fav from us. Had quite a bit of a fight to get through the exuberant greenery here, luckily the path is sealed otherwise we'd have needed gumboots. Cache is all good. TFTC
This one stumped me a few years ago...a bit more experienced this time. The container was grabbed easily but the plastic bag with the log proved a little harder to extract. Got there in the end. Tftc
found cache hiding spot but did not find cache log. it is missing, please remove this log if wrong, lovely walk and a cool cache hide, TFTC
Out for the afternoon with my muggle sister.
Upped put step count with thus walk that, despite living here for 45+ years, she didn't know existed.
She spotted the likely candidate and sure enough the find was made.
Not sure if there should have been an inner container, but there wasn't.
Thanks for the smilie MIOW4.

I enjoyed this little walk and the hunt. Too bad there aren't a few more caches along here.A nice hide. Thanks.
Found my third cache ever, pretty neat hidey hole. Coords lead me straight there but had to hunt for a while and then think less complex and more about camouflage, got it eventually. Didn't have a pen unfortunately so I couldn't sign the log. TFTC.
Out to fill in a dot day. Not a fan of nanos but with a second cache further along the walkway this was worth the gamble.
As it turned out I spotted this one quite quickly.
Cheers

Cool wee hide. Pretty sure I had already done it and when I went to look sure enough was where I remembered. Not sure why it came up again as a new cache but still enjoyed the walk as did the dog!
Time for a quick run out to find and log a cache for this final day of the year. The river is looking pretty low, so the heavy grey clouds overhead are very welcome...thanks, Miow4, for replacing this cache. TFTC
We came out for a bike ride this morning (New Years Eve), along this great track - very few people around early in the day. A clever and appropriate hide, it blends in ever so well, thanks very much.
Got whats a name on the last day of the year and now can't wait to start all over again. Thanks meow4 for the re-established cache TFTC
up in Taranaki for family birthday and nipped out to locate this cache fairly near by. I remember a cache being here a few years ago. this is nicely placed and camo'd . well done and i have given it a fav point .Thank you for the cache and another smiley face.
Thank you MIOW4 for another opportunity to log another dot day. It’s still very pretty through here, and as I previously noted on the original cache log the path is called the Waiwhakaiho Walkway now. Great that you were able to reuse the clever original cache.

Second time I’ve done this cache within a couple of months, so I knew what to look for, a quick find during my walk this morning. Thanks for resurrecting this Cache!
Number four for the day. We sort of thought we knew what we were looking for and where it might be before we set out and were mostly correct, except there was a bit more vegetation than we recalled.
An easy find and retrieval until my wife dropped the log sheet and had to grub around looking for it. Signed and replaced in between dog walking muggles passing by.

A fairly quick find, unfortunately the wind caught the little bag the log was in and although we had a good look around we couldn’t find it - sorry. The log was signed and put back.
Saw only one person on a bike - too hot today! This cache is certainly in your face! A good shake solved any extraction problems.Thanks MIOW4 for the replacement.
FTF! Found it! Had found it previously when under other cache owners, so was able to find without a problem. Walkway a little busier than it used to be with vehicles, so take care with little one. Love this one, TFTC
