Well my trip up to QOGM has officially started and Im taking the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there. So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so after heading west and making it to Longreach time for a break from the travelling. So after a couple big days out to Stonehenge, Isisford, Ilfracombe, the puzzle trail loop and the great tea last night with The Tritonz and Roaming Howie. Its finally Muster day Yahand after a great breakfast and then the fun drive up to Muttaburra time to find a few caches before the lunch event.I was up here last year and it is great to find the rest of the caches that I missed last time. Thanks Dunmowin TFTC.
Today is going to be another big and long day with a bunch of caches to grab on the way to the event in Muttaburra. Then grab a few around Muttaburra township, before heading back to town for more caches and then another event. Oh today also starts with a breakfast event at the showgrounds. The breakfast was good and the fruit platter was a very nice add on. While loading the info into the phone it was great to sit around and chat on peoples thoughts for the day. With the team gathered it was then off to make a mark on some log books. We signed the logs as Misfits and saw a nice variety of caches, with size and terrain not an issue. We all worked well as a team and it was a good practice run for the main event in a couple of days. Thanks for the placements and the time in putting this all together.
Its ON, its Muster Day.We teamed up with JACS Team, Gcoven and Chamad for an action packed day. With papers in hand we made a mad dash around Muttaburra and the surrounding area grabbing a variety of caches along the way. What a crazy day! Thanks for bringing us here.#4007 - TFTC

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 143. Barcaldine Day 2. Today's trip was to Muttabu5rra. It is over 150km so I headed off early. It was a nice drive and there was plenty of caching to do around town and along the nearby river. I ran into Domsky at a key point of the day, it is great to meet up with people in the wild. It was a long hot day, but I enjoyed myself and came home to Barcaldine in time to cook dinner and flop into bed before going out again tomorrow.
I continued west from town for the remaining caches along the road to the border of the shire.
Thanks for the cache Dunmowin

TFTC have been staying in the area the last few days. Enjoying getting to know the town
Our GPS wanted us in the middle of the road but common sense had us looking elsewhere. The container was very hard to spot and we were nearly ready to give up when we spotted it. Unfortunately the container had perished so we have replaced it with a similar container but this one might be a bit easier to spotted as it’s not painted camouflage green. TFTC
After having a very pleasant night in the Council Camping area in Muttaburra which we thoroughly recommend for anyone passing through our main aim was to clear up the caches around here that we missed on our last visit before making our way to Longreach.
This is quite a neat little airfield here, they obviously don't get the volume of arrivals and departures of major airfields judging by the infrastructure here.
Happily there were no arrivals or departures when we visited , we had the whole area to ourselves which made searching very relaxed.
We searched where the GPSr was pointing and after a little look spotted the hide and we have now added our name to the log.
Many thanks Dunmowin for the cache.

Today it was all quit at GZ now movements only the movement of this strange person walking around looking at the screen of this funny hand held device and walking around in circles to eventually find this thing hanging around and after a short time it was back to the geobus and on there way again.
Thanks Dunmowin for this interesting place to stop and cache.

Hi there Dunmowin.
The QOGM event is over, and as we hadn't driven up to Muttaburra during the weekend, we decided that today would be a good day for a drive.
We had some GPS troubles, so we had to resort to "paper" logging and iPhone navigation for a while - so the caches won't always be logged in their correct order.
We thoroughly enjoyed today's adventure. Thanks for placing the cache for our enjoyment.
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late and generic log, something I am notorious for. Thank you Dunmowinfor adding to the adventure that is geocaching.
