youngoldfella I found your cache Bridge in sight - Moree TK#2 on 22/10/2024, 10:05am. This is my find 7172 and find # 3 today. A quick and easy drive by. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
After arriving in Moree, checking into the motel and then completing some necessary shopping, we had a little time to look for some caches before tea. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks youngoldfella for the cache.
Last of the traditional caches to be found in Moree, a very quick find for Mrs Shifter. Thanks for another hide youngoldfella.
As I was driving through Moree I decided that this cache needed to be found. A quick find was made and back to my car I noticed two other cars had stopped behind me. Other cachers ? No there was a massive oversized farming equipment being driven along the road. Mo phone or camera in hand so a missed photo opportunity. Thank you youngoldfella for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.
Whilst on our half lap convinced muggle driver to make a few stops here and there to make some finds. Thanks ps late logs sorry
While staying in Moree for a couple of nights went out and found this cache on a freezing day. Thanks youngoldfella for this cache
A lazy morning today in Moree, meant that I could clean up the caches that I hadn't found previously here. After completing the local AL, I was able to find and sign this cache too. TFTC youngoldfella SL
(3 of 9 today)Time to head home, but not via the most direct route. Am trying to target a few LGAs on the border that Im unlikely to revisit, and see some towns Ive never visited.Started at 7m in Tenterfield and headed west towards Moree and the south to Gunnedah.Even with regular cache stops this was a long way of solo driving. Finally got home at 8pm.But an interesting day - and even found two caches just found by a fellow Sydney cacher. What are the chances?###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Finished my trip along the Gwydir Highway by reaching Moree. Surprised to note how few caches there are here.Quick and easy find of the one I targeted. Just had to clear away the cobwebsAdded my in, to the log, replaced and turned south and actually towards home.SLTNLN TFTC
A quick stop and a quick first find of the day for us here this morning. Tftc!

On a road trip and caching holiday with Captainkirky. What a trip this has been, not only finds were good, some of the views were outstanding along my trip. Doing the geotour in Ballarat was awesome, the finds for some of them were very interesting. On this part of our trip we are now heading home, along the way finding caches including this one.
On our way back from QOGM 2023 with the MummaBear and the cubs gang, this is the first stop after crossing the New South Wales border. We grabbed some caches for our already signed LGA challenge and some oldies along the way, before heading to Tamworth. Thanks for the cacheThanks for the huntThanks for giving us a reason to stopTook nothing, left nothing, signed logSigned log as MummaBear and the Cubs and for smaller logs MB&C

This cache didn't take us long to find. We are having a great time using caching to help us find our way north to QOGM then hopefully onto Cape York. Thank you for placing this cache for all to find.
Heading to Longreach for the last QOGM with Team Crackers, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506.We stopped along the way to pick up a few caches and signed the log as PDGC.(Papi Drovers Geoturtle Crackers)Thanks to all the Co's for making this trip, more enjoyable. Signed and replaced as found.
We are heading up to Longreach for the last QOGM with The Drovers, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506 naturally stopping to grab any caches that come on the map aiming to get as many LGA's as we can.
We are enjoying our little tour around Moree using geocaching as our guide and visiting a lot more areas that we would have not otherwise seen and we love these types of hides so not long after arriving at gz we were adding our accronym to the log.
To save room in the log we signed PDGC (Papi Drove Geoturtle Crackers)
Thanks for the cache RoddyC

Quick and easy find and I don't think this cache will be going any where
Found at 2:56 PM GAFF1.
Now that was an interesting find for a generous D/T rating! When the nice sturdy container was found, it was soon discovered that an ant colony had decided to make their home there. Well maybe after some human interference and swatting away some brave and heroic worker ants from p-pprass's wrists and arms, they may try to reconsider where to rear their young.
Thanks youngoldfella.

A full day in Moree and a chance to do some sightseeing and try the thermal pools as well as look for some caches on a beautiful day once the morning chill was gone. We headed out in the morning to do the caches, some in town and some out. All trads. A successful caching run.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache youngoldfella.

We are on a 2 month trip from Portland via the Mundi Mundi Bash to a wedding in Brisbane and then out west for QOGM in Charleville.
Today we are travelling from Narrabri where we had set up camp at the showgrounds to Moree where we camped at the free camp at Pally. After setting up we headed back to Moree for a swim and some caches. We spotted the cache needed a new log but have replaced the whole thing - it is now a test tube in the same location.
Thanks for contributing to the fun youngoldfella

The local maintainer is no longer a local and now lives in Queensland. I will not be in the area until November when I will be heading south for the Mega. I will replace it then if a kind cacher has not replaced it for me in the mean time.
Quick & easy find, walked right up to it. Cache is waterlogged. SL. TFTC

A quick find (would this hide be otherwise ). Smoke is filling the air about here. Someone is burning off. Several logs here. I signed one of them. TFTC youngoldfella.
We are no our way from the Melbourne winter to hopefully sunny QLD, staying here in Moree for the night so I just had to get the bike off the caravan and go chase a few geocaches with some success. TFTC
This weekend, to celebrate a birthday, I am embarking on a ~1400km roadtrip through New South Wales with my Dad. A lot of rain in South-East Queensland meant the itinerary got reversed, meaning this morning we left Brisbane for Grafton, then heading west for Moree along the Gwydir via Glen Innes, Inverell and Warialda.
By now we had driven all day, checked into the Motel and the sun had set. Both of us were keen for a walk to stretch our legs after sitting too much. I suggested we grab this geocache as a target. Done.
All day we'd mostly missed the rain but it threatened overhead as we wend through the streets and parks towards GZ. It sure is another level of dark at night in country New South Wales, as compared to Brisbane. We got near GZ, and had to cross one last road. By torchlight, I made the find and the geocache was all in good order. Just after 19:00 I signed the logbook and replaced as found.
We took a different route back to the motel (and eventually dinner). Down below the creek was high and for the last few minutes, the heavens opened, making the walk both wet and cold. But still, nice to get out. Thanks for this geocache (surprising to see your name so far from home too) youngoldfella

Sorry for the late log!
I turned up in town not realising that the show was on. Between that and the pools at my hotel it was a recipe for a good weekend.
I did have a little bit of spare time to go for a wander - so I walked by the river and made my way to the cache.
I spotted it in the usual place, and quickly signed the log as I realised I was getting eaten alive by the mozzies!
