Visiting South East Queensland for a week from Port Macquarie. Today we ventured out towards Tamborine Mountain before finishing the afternoon around the Southport area. After a chilly morning, the afternoon warmth was very welcome and made for a rather pleasant day of caching. This general part of town was by far the busiest but managed a parking a little up the road. Soon found the required answers which we have sent off. Very cool sculptures in this little park. Thanks for the cache

Friends and I spent an enjoyable hour or so at Tamborine Mountain Distillery, sampling an amazing array of different flavours. Following the Tasting, we wandered down the road to choose a spot for lunch. Fortunately, we were across the road from this Earthcache, I was keen to get at least one cache here, as I havent been to Mount Tamborine for maybe 20 years, and I didnt have a Scenic Rim cache. Im sure Ill be here looking for caches at another time, but this was the perfect opportunity for a quick visit to get the answers for this Earthcache. Answers have been sent to the CO. Thanks,, The X-Trailers, for this Earthcache. Im definitely keen to come back to look for more caches, and to enjoy the lovely are?pa.

As the sky began to turn from the blue of a beautiful day to the hughes of a Queensland winter evening, and the traffic quietened down, I paid a visit to this cache before leaving town.

A family came along and enjoyed the sculpture, taking a few photos of their little ones who climbed atop and posed Smile.

Gosh, this is a lovely little town.

Thank you for bringing me to this corner. Smile

Thanks for this delightful EC. Visiting from Perth WA and saw this was just up the road. Very quiet so answers found quickly.

28-May-23
We didn’t choose the best time to visit this cache as the area was very popular and parking proved to be a challenge. There were children climbing on the sculpture so luckily this was an earthcache so we could still find the information needed. Answers have been sent to the CO. Thanks The X-Trailers

10-May-23
My geodog Scruffy wanted to look for some caches so I thought "why not?" Big Grin

This was an interesting little EC.
Of course Scruff and I mucked about round the sculptures til we finally decided to look at the questions.
But for the photo shoot, Scruff did NOT want to be there. This shot was taking very quickly under extreme protest.

All Good .. TFTC ..

Thanks for showing us the spot with the earthcache.

After a beautiful Anzac Day Service, where my 10 yo grandie participated, we headed up the mountain for an icecream and a cache or two. It was her decision. Race you to the cache. So we decided to see how we went at the end of the day.

Grandie had never done an earthcache yet, so we decided to call a truce on our race but as we arrived she said "see how we go with the answers.

We checked out the Rocks and she found the question to question 3, I said I would do the research to Question 1 & 2

So decided that made us
Score: Dunmowin 4, Grandie 4

Thanks X-trailers for the fun. Answers to come

Enjoying an afternoon on ANZAC Day chasing a hankering for fudge. Mt Tambourine is just the place! Despite some showers, we managed bush walks, a picnic and the requisite shopping!

We love an Earthcache, so made a beeline for Ground Zero. Cool spot, another one which would have escaped our notice if not for Geocaching.

Answers submitted as requested.

Thanks For The Earthcache!

TFTC! I rarely do earchcache as many of the times it requires a bit knowledge in geology and that's not my strength. But I found this one quite easy, so thanks for placing such a cool cache here at Mt Tamborine! Hopefully my answers are correct.

04-Apr-23
The Esky family came to Tamborine for a few nights. First stop was lunch and while we waited for it come out I had a look at what was nearby. This was less then 90m from where we were sitting so after lunch we wandered over to check out the sculpture. Answers gathered and sent on behalf of Eskies5, Mr Esky and TheEskyBoys. Elina_maree and I had organised to find some caches after our church camp and GeoM was keen to tag along. We managed to find a park in Gallery Walk, which was crazy busy on a Sunday afternoon. After coffee and donuts were consumed, we headed over to check out the sculptures. We talked to GeoM about the types of rocks and he helped to answer the questions before climbing all over the sculptures. Thanks for this kid-friendly Earth Cache.

01-Apr-23
Geo Dad had purchased a SUP on Marketplace so he dropped us off at the park, Geo Mum had some calls to return so we were left to check out the rocks. Thanks The X - trailers for making a kids earth cache it was much easer than the ones Mum makes us do for school work. A lovely park too

While I was buzzing around Mt.Tamborine I came across this earth cache and this area. It was so wet and fogged in this morning. The wind was crazy and there was a bit of a nip in the air. While I was getting the information for this cache the sun peeked through the clouds and I was able to get a little rest from the cold and drizzle.

This was definitely a different type of earth cache but an interesting one the colours and textures and rock formation was yes interesting, thank you.

Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I took my visiting family south to Tamborine Mountain. We first took a short 1.4 km walk through the MacDonald section of Tamborine National Park, before then browsing the Gallery Walk street, and grabbing a bite to eat for lunch.

During our walk, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I walked past this with baby Ada, and we stopped to admire the Bower sculpture and the nearby rocks. We soon found the plaque in question, and it didn't take long to answer the required questions, which were then sent to the CO for verification. Thanks The X-Trailers for the EarthCache placement and organisation. You don't see too many sculptures EarthCache outside South Australia and in Queensland.

Time for a trip up Mount Tamborine again Smile think I’ve been up this mountain almost every trip to the Gold Coast for me. I do love it up here. Came up today with mum to collect the answers for the 2 earthcaches up here, I have submitted the answers for this one to the CO but not the other one yet as i have misplaced the sheet of paper I wrote the answers on. The CO has given the go ahead to log this one.

Nice and busy up here today, but that’s to be expected on the weekend, had to wait out climbing muggle children so I could gather my answers and take a happy snap. Thanks for the EC at this interesting location The X-Trailers Very Happy

We were out cycling around Tamborine Mountain and stopped for a beer. We realised that although we've been here many times we hadn't completed this earthcache. Whilst Mr.

Mrs Gunnie and I planned a cosy picnic for two up this way today, but of course you can't fill an entire day with eating...Can you [?]

We ticked off the Cameron Falls walk, did coffee, watched some paragliding off the hill, did the picnic, then off to Curtis Falls and the adjacent circuit. As we headed to the last of the walks, I swung into the carpark to glean the all important information for this cache. I had seen the sculptures on many a drive by, but never pausedto have a look. This was a great excuse. [^]

I quickly had the info I needed, snapped an obligatory I was here pic, then headed off to appease Mrs Gunnie who is not a lover of our game. She was much happier when we hit the next walking trail. Wink

Thanks for the E/C and making me take notice of the art here. On logging, I note a Sandgroping visitor was also here this morning. Hi SVKR_WA. Hope you enjoyed your stay on the hill. Big Grin

Cheers X-Trailers.

A couple of days in Tambourine Mountain, staying at a little Airbnb cottage. Headed out for some touristy stuff and a few caches today.

On Annual Leave for a month and that leaves more time for geocaching.

We have taken a 2 week holiday from Perth to QLD. Spending a few days on the Sunshine Coast, a few days in the mountains and then a week on the Gold Coast.

The X-Trailers SVKR_WA is happy to have found your cache Rocks and the Rock Cycle for kids today at 09:07:23 22 Mar 2020. This brings my find count to 4041
