Stay safe out there, caches and their hidey holes can be dirty and wet!
wash your hands, wipe down your cache gear, stay on this side of the border (it was tempting...)
sanitise, exercise, even wear a mask if hayfever season gets to you and
cache the countryside safely distanced at least a roo or an adult brown snake's length apart ! ! !
Have fun out there ! ! ! Smile

26-Jan-20
Yep, found this one next. Again, it's in great shape. No problems signing and replacing.

I'm so impressed with the condition of caches in Australia! In Iowa, we're dealing with major extremes in temperature. I'm convinced that the below-freezing temperatures and snow cover wreak havoc with cache containers, causing quick deterioration of them and creating gaps, cracks and breaks that allow moisture inside. Maybe more moderate temps (at least on the cold end) really help keep caches in good shape here.

Whatever the reason, I'm just glad we get to find so many caches "down under." It's a real treat!

25-Oct-19
Today was spent with a variety of adventures, such as cave diving, dry caving, and cycling the Mount Gambier Rail Trail. We first dived/snorkeled Piccaninnie Ponds early, and then after sightseeing Hells Hole, we drove to Gouldens Sinkhole for the new EarthCache that was just published for FTF. After an enjoyable late breakfast, we then caved at Morgan's Cave, and just as the storm clouds were gathering, we packed the car with our bikes to ride the trails through Mount Gambier. It's not often that I'm down here with bikes, and so despite the storm clouds brewing, I was determined to conduct the ride with [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) to see some of the sculptures installed along, as well as find the various geocaches. We collected most of the geocaches along there, and we rounded out the day with a few new EarthCache FTFs, and then after dinner, feeding the possum colony at Umpherston Sinkhole.

Once we parked, the heavy rain fell, but in true Mount Gambier region style, the rain passed, and it was back being clear again with the sun trying its best to shine through. The winds were also roaring, and unexpectedly rode into the headwind as we went along the trail. The first few geocaches ended with DNFs, and so we struggled through to make several finds after that. It was an enjoyable trail with the various artwork, and we enjoyed the platform area, wetlands and old buildings bordering the trail. We ended up riding most of the trail without rain, and since we had decided to ride into the wind initially, it only took 10 min to ride back to our starting spot. An enjoyable few hours dodging weather.

I wonder if this shop nearby has changed name from this geocache's name? We overshot the coordinates to look in the shop sign, but once we realised our error, I found the cache in a nice hiding spot. The cache and logbook was in good shape, thanks mogni!

06-Oct-19
Found during a long weekend geocaching around Mt Gambier that saw an entertaining variety of caches and events, some caches as easy finds, others challenging, a few that required a hint from a kindly CO to locate, and one or two failed attempts that will need a return visit to cross off the list! Thanks for the cache mogni!

Since the weather was finally great again and I only had to work am shift I figured, chasing the sun by doing geocaching would be a good idea. Also, today is international geocaching day and the railway track was still on my bucket list. So together with Nick we went for a nice walk, had a good chat and especially fun to find all the great Caches along the way. Though it's pretty sad that there is no train to Mount Gambier anymore. Also, I only saw the railway track so far when I passed the main road into the Mount. Sorry for all the phone calls but I guess you are just the best "wild card" for being successful here Wink

Suscoe's last day in Mount Gambier and we had a lovely time picking up a few more caches.
The day started out with solid drizzle before we got up. The remainder of the day was cloudy, a little sunny and mild, the perfect temperature for us to caching in.
We enjoyed some town caches, some farmland caches and some coastal caches.
Thanks to mogni for this cache, we found ti quickly and signed the log just as quick.

Down The Mount for a very nearby appointment and found this cache. When ever we do any of these caches there is always a friendly soul who stops for a lil chat.

I almost didn't sign this log, I was really hesitant to. It's not just a little bit mouldy, it's severely black, black, nasty mouldy. Definitely time for a new one and a cache clean. I left my backpack in the car today (what a wally) otherwise I could have given at least the container a scrub, sorry. TFTC.
