It was the third day of the drive home to Adelaide after a family holiday in and around Perth, and of course, this meant more caches on the way home. It was an enjoyable day of driving and caching, and since we were making better time than expected, the decision was made to, instead of gunning it for Adelaide and trying to get home that day, make a slight detour, picking up some of the FITG caches, and stay in Whyalla before heading home. It was an enjoyable day of travel and caching despite some of the dirt roads providing plenty of vibrations. As the sun began to set, the decision was made to beeline to Whyalla and find somewhere to camp. An enjoyable day was had and some good caches were found and, unless otherwise stated, all caches were found in good condition.

TFTC. TNLN. Container was pretty full already. Log book in good nik but container needs replacement. Sorry didn’t have a big enough one (or big enough sealable plastic bag) to replace.
Happy caching & safe travels

Container needs replacing. Sorry didn’t have big enough supplies when going through.
Well it’s 2021 and I have finally said good bye to a not so great 2020 and it was great to finally be able to have a reasonable holiday as I have not had a decent break since 2019.
Making my way towards South Australia and finally crossing the boarder and then being greeted by a couple of very friendly SA police offices which i had the official paper work to allow me to enter.
Making my way west along the Eyre Hwy which I have not travelled along since the late 70’s when I was on a holiday with my folks and this was the last holiday before I started full time work as a sparkie and finding a few caches as I go.
Geocaching when towing a van is not always easy and I have to be a bit selective on which ones I decide to try and find for safe parking purposes especially along busy highways.
After stopping at Wirrulla for the night and making use of their nice little community caravan park it was time to head to my next destination which is Penong.
After working out the best way to get to this one I hit a side track and hoped it would be ok for the van.
Plenty of room for the van and even enough space to do a u-turn to get back out.
The cache is in need of some TLC as the container is broken and eventually water will get in.
Loved the old oil container that I should have picked up but oh well next time.
I soon added my name to the log and I was on my way again.
Thanks TFTC.

During our new years break, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to the Eyre Peninsula to travel around the various coastal towns. We started the trip with Jeep trouble, but then continued in our alternative vehicle without 4WD to stick to the main tourist roads where possible. We travelled south-west to Tumby Bay and Port Lincoln via Whyalla, Cowell, Cleve, Arno Bay; west across to Coffin Bay; and then north-west to Streaky Bay and Ceduna via Elliston, and Venus Bay. We then headed back east staying in Kimba via Poochera, Wudinna, Lock, and Darke Peak.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I continued our adventure to Ceduna and Cactus Beach. We stopped off at Perlubie Beach, before exploring Ceduna's Thevenard and the local museum in the morning, and then travelled to Penong and Cactus Beach in the afternoon. These were quite the distance away, but we definitely enjoyed the number of windmills and pink lake there. We then returned back to Streaky Bay via Wirrulla to see the town's famous local secret.
This wasn't the best of locations for a geocaching, considering all the rubbish around. The cache container is in very poor condition wrapped in a bag - and so is due for a replacement urgently. The logbook was still in good shape. Thanks Whistling Kites for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

I thought this had been muggled due to all the rubbish but it is fine inside a plastic bag. Have added to the loot. TFTC
Found on my round Eyre Peninsula caching expedition. Thanks Whistling Kites.
Enjoying a 2 week break from home and discovering some of Eyre Peninsula.

Quick find of this perished cache- sorry I was unable to replace the container! Log dry however. Tftc
Today our tour - which began in Perth, WA , and led us thru Western, Northern and Southern Australia back to Perth, was simply driving from Kimba to Border Village.
On the way we came to some interesting locations. Here we searched, found and logged this Tradi-Cache.
Weather was good in the morning and it should even get better during the day.
Thanks to 'Whistling Kites' for showing us this location, for the fun we had with 'Kids Delight' and for the smiley. The search here and today didn't take too much time, fortunately.
Greetings from Germany and we hope to see you soon in the forest, prairie, desert or outback .

Bit of rubbish around and road working vehicles parked up. Quick find thank you.
After our free camp we headed into Port Augusta to get fuel and coffees. Then a few quick caches in town before the big drive over to Ceduna. It was an enjoyable trip with a few caches added in for extra interest. We picked up around 30 caches and arrived at Ceduna at 4pm for beers and then on to Penong for the Westies presentation night. This allowed the geohusband to catch up with all his old cronies and talk everything farming.
He enjoyed being back in his old stomping ground for the evening just like old times.
This was our last find on the drive to Ceduna. This is a new placement since we cached out Ceduna 5 years ago. TFTC

Catching up with very late logs.
After a great trip along the Canning Stock route and then visiting friends in Gerald ton it was now time to start heading home, of course stopping along the way to pick up any caches that appeared on the screen.
We pulled up and headed to gz thinking that this could be a very good camping location in the future. The GPS took a couple of minutes to settle but once it did we spotted a likely location and the well stocked cache was soon in hand and we were adding our name to the log.
Thanks Whistling Kites for the cache.

There were many potential hiding spots in front of us when we arrived. We walked around and soon saw something interesting. Closer inspection revealed a very well stocked cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Whistling Kites for the cache.
Day 239 - Today was off for a short drive again this time only the one cache as the number of caches are reducing and the repairs are progressing hope to be on the road soon.
Thanks for this nice quick find in a wonderful spot for what could be a free camp Whistling Kites.

Wow. The description is right. If you’re travelling with geokids you should stop for this one - more loot than I’ve ever seen in a cache.

Today I was based in Ceduna, and headed out to some of the more distant local caches of interest. When I saw GZ I thought of DAK's well known phrase, "Geez I hate 'em in rocks". But it was quickly found in the first place I looked.
My thanks to Whistling Kites for the cache.

8056 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1045. Having a lay day today so it was off to find a couple of Ceduna local caches. As we won't be coming this way on the eastward leg of the return trip it was the first for the day. The container had a heavy rock on the plastic so we made a hollow to return it. SL Tnx Whistling Kites.
Found by Mary & David at 1500. Thank goodness for another cache to find. A long time (2 hours)since our previous find in Wudinna). What a treasure trove for children. Although maccamob HQ is in Melbourne, we've just come from QOGM 2018, and now we're heading across the Nullarbor again to go to WAGB 2018. Our thanks to Whistling Kites.
Yep, got this one without too much trouble. A little warey in case there were some slithery things amongst the rocks. Obeyed all the road rules as there was a cop car tailing us thankyou Whistling Kites for the cache.
Found on day 3 of our WA Adventure - overnight in Ceduna (Loved the Oyster Barn). TFTC
W’ve just driven through Ceduna and left a donation with the fruit and veggie man due to a catering miscalculation. Ah well, they always say it’s better to overestimate your needs than to under estimate them don’t they!
Easy access and parking for our van at this cache which makes it so much easier than some we’ve done while we’re on the move, so thanks for that. The GPS took us straight to a suspicious looking area, but Mrs Ski discarded a few possible caches before Mr Ski yelled “got it!” Of course Mrs Ski had walked straight past it. Still that’s the way it goes sometimes, and at least we got our yellow smiley face.

Off on our holidays, traveling from Adelaide to Nullarbor, Broken Hill, Mildura and the Mallee Region.
Chasing a few caches on the way, this was one of the caches we found.
Taking a few TB's along the route and placing a Path Tag or two as we discover the Yellow Smiley Faces!
The question is, did we find it worthy of a favourite point?
We thank the CO for bringing us to this place in lovely Australia.

It's good to get the kids to play away from the highway.
This cache was found on the epic trip to the west to find GC4078 Traditional Cache Twilite. The goal was not only this and other caches, but sand, surf, flight and photography - a perfect combination.
Thanks to Whistling Kites and *clear skies* from TeamAstro. Cache the planet!

Our fourth day on the 'big island' and we thought we were going to have our first DNF here. We found the remains of several containers that we suspected were vandalised cache containers but persistence paid off and we eventually uncovered the real thing.
Not the best one to tackle in thongs as the rocks here are fairly unstable.
Thanks.

No vandalism here. There was a pill container nearby but that isn’t the cache. Cache in good order.
Day 10/11 of BarnZy and Cravo’s trip from Perth to Adelaide.
On the homeward run now, leaving Port Augusta and heading home to Perth.
Special thanks to all of the cachers we met at our event “sandgropers in the city”, and all of the great caches we found over here, including a number of rare icons in the form of virtuals and webcams.
Thanks for a great couple of weeks caching.

Sadly, this cache has been vandalised. Just the empty container and a pen beside it.
headed from one side of the country to the other, from Drumond Cove WA to Renmark in South Australia, grabbing a few caches to mark our way and sight seeing aswell ..
Found this cache on our way to the OZ Geo Muster at Morisset NSW.
Hunted and hunted in the heat and the flies, so much rubbish that I thought someone had discarded the cache. We were about to give up and then as Ian stood having one last look I spotted something right near his feet and guess what it was. Yes, the cache.
thanks
