First of several earthcaches along the way this morning. Beautiful sunrise to enjoy the parks and statues before all of the tourists and workers were on the road. Answers have been sent to the owner.

For a short trip we travelled spontaneous to London.Big Grin We had a full weekend to explore this great city with parks, buildings and hotspots of tourims, of course.Cool The weather was fine, against all odds it was sunny and warm, only at the last day we felt some raindrops.Wink Best conditions to do some sightseeing combined with geocaching.[^] So we discovered nice and hidden places next to areas with lot of muggles, sorry, tourists, of course.Big Grin After all we walkes a lot of kilometers and our feet are killing us.Big GrinBig Grin We took the public transport as often as possible, but the support of the tube and busses did not help either.Big Grin At the end it was worth it and we collected a lot of impressions and fun.[^] And this geocache did it's best, too.[^]

A interesting base of a statue and we could learn something about this material.[^]

Thanks for hiding and maintenance.Wink

My son and I visited London for a couple of days and we visited a lot of caches and historical and interesting places on our 75km walk during 4 days!
Smile

On this place it was a lot of statues and earthcaches! Smile
We tried to study as many as possible to collect the answers, but as always with earthcaches it can be rather tricky.

I will send our answer to CO right away!

Found this when it was very busy and lots of police were about due to the demonstration in the bridge. It's great that Lloyd George has his Welsh slate. It's a lovely colour. Thanks

On our first but short visit in London we spent some time studying the statues and looking at people enjoying the warm sunny afternoon. The most difficult was to find a place to sit down. So many people around. Of course, also we oldies could sit on lawn, but how to get up, that might be the problem Big Grin.

Again we learned something new. And although the task was quite easy, studying and writing in a foreing language is always a bit challenging.

Message sent to the CO.

Found on a massive day out in London, I found a good train deal down to Euston so decided to have a day out caching in the big smoke. Throughout the day I managed to walk over 30km and collect a lot of caches. I mostly targeted the west side of central London leaving the East side for another trip. I found a lot of brilliant caches including some excellent puzzles, thankyou to all the cache owners that have made London such a caching hotspot.

Final one of the parliament square trio and a quick collection of the information, I have done quite a few slate earthcaches before. TFTC

Today my wife and I went out for a long walk around London, and eventually we passed by this square and its abundance of earthcaches... we started with this one, and it was a nice experience seeing both the statue as well as the fundament below.
We took notes and pictures, and our answers have been submitted to the CO.
Thank you for the short lesson and thank you for the earthcache.

My final earthcache of the day - number twenty in total.
We spent something like five hours wandering and making notes of the answers.
We've seen some nice parts of London.
We came here from Westminster Cathedral and took a rest whilst we looked at the slate.
Favourite point awarded here - answers sent and photo attached...many thanks...onwards!

Last day on my adventure in UK. Going here for work for a symposium in organic chemistry in Cambridge, it would have been a shame to not collecting some nice caches in a wonderful city! Dozens of multiple type of caches (trad, mysteries, virtual, multi, earth) will be found along some long walks through the magnificent college and under a nice weather (weird no? Very Happy).
End of the week is in one of the best cities, London!
1 day in this beautiful capital (and also quite big! I did 10 hours walking in it and it was still just half of it -_-)
Numerous virtuals, mysteries and multis which are crazy! Also some nice works along the stories of Albion Smile

* A beautiful park with nice statues! Each of them having different style and the perfect playground for nice earthcaches Smile

We spotted this cache whilst on a tour of Westminster with a guide. I stopped listening to him and came over to examine the slate! Studied the rock and answered the questions as best I could. Photo posted too as proof of my visit. TFTC
