very hot and dry out here so crossed the creek and found the cache, thanks again ESCO.
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Eat Sleep Cache Online [^]
The creek was in full flow last time I passed by. No such issues today on the way back from QOGM. Thanks EatSleepCacheOnline for giving me another to find.
Found on the ground, replaced on a small branch above .On the hunting trail with Liz & Bruce a QOGM 2023 adventure. Another great day for caching. TFTC EatSleepCacheOnlineFor anyone making Geo plans, do yourself a favour and visit Australias only current Geotour at Ballarat while it lasts: https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/ballarat-victoria
Popped up from Muttaburra while organizing things there for this year's final QOGM in Longreach. Love these country roads - it has changed a bit since we were last around here in 2017!
Well, the creek wasn't exactly running, but yeah, we walked.
Log signed and cache replaced as found at 1.42 pm on Tuesday 30th May 2023. TFTC, Sobingtons.

Day 4 of a 3 week holiday driving from Canberra to Townsville and back to attend the Mega. Today was Charleville to Torrens Creek, via Barcaldine. Approx 800km. A long day so just a few stops to break up the journey. Cache easily found in good condition. No water at this point in the creek. TFTC.

After a few days on the Dinosaur trail we’re heading back to Townsville today so we made the stop here to break up the drive.
I did have my SUP with me but wanting just a quick stop I decided to give this one a miss as it was a T5 today.
Thanks EatSleepCacheOnline for creating and placing this for us to enjoy.

Cairns trip 2019. Day 28. This was the second day of my drive home and I traveled from Reid River to Barcaldine via Charters Towers, Torrens Creek and Aramac.
The riuver was not flowing, but there was plenty of pooled water, so I gave this one a miss.
Thanks.

Took us a moment to find, luckily there were about a million flies 'helping' us. Nice little spot though. Cheers from the Netherlands!
On Geo-Downunder tour together with Geohamstertjes and Geowrench.
Main target: Porky Gorge and this one was a nice start.
The quick sand almost got us but we survived !!
Greetings from the Netherlands.

TFTC. We had been to Muttaburra to finish the wherigo and find the two new ones in town. After this we decided to attempt the two cav= he’s along the Torrens Creek Road. We had bypassed these about 8 weeks ago as we wanted to get back to camp before dark. We were a lot earlier this time so up there road we went.
After click go the shears this was a simple straightforward find.

Today we explored Muttaburra and surrounds picking up a few caches using Geocaching as a guide and this was one of them.
An easy find at GZ by Mrs "T".
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

I had an early morning walk today grabbing 4 more smilies, (which earned me a new souvenir ) then after brekky, some sudoku and packing morning tea and lunch, Pa and I set off in search of more caches extending as far away from Broadwater camp as the Bowen Downs area. It was an interesting drive and we had fun exploring. This was one of the caches that was added to our collection. Thanks to all the COs who placed or maintained these caches which add so much to our travels. All logs were signed and returned.
These co ordinates worked for me.

Day four of my outback geocaching trip. Stayed in Blackall last night and the sky opened up and there was a big storm with the power going out for about 40 minutes. This morning up early to get the last 4 I needed in Blackall before heading to Barcaldine, Longreach, Muttaburra and back to Barcaldine via Aramac.
After having found the one on the other side of the road I decided to shift the geomobile to the other side of the road. 39 degrees when I started my walk. There has been rain and there are many big puddles in the creek bed and there is lightning in the distance and I can hear thunder. There is evidence of a fresh in this creek going by the fresh debris. I found a safe way down to the creek bed sand then wove my way around the puddles till I arrived at the original posted co ordinates. Not going to give any thing away. Signed log and placed a very big secure tie to one end of the container and affixed it to the host object. Let it flood as this will not get washed away. The tree maybe the weak link but I think not. Wait till you see the tree. When I arrived back at my mode of transport it was starting to rain and within 5 minutes it was absolutely pouring down and the outside temperature dropped to 24 degrees. The storm lasted the entire trip back to Aramac and down the Barcaldine Road. That is about 40 minutes. A favourite point from me. TFTC Sobingtons.

After having no success with the other cache across the road I thought I would have more luck with this cache so parked my car and walked towards the coordinates. The river was in large puddles with some dry spots and I unfortunately stepped in some quite deep mud losing my jandals in the process. Once retrieved I left them there and walked barefoot to where I thought the cache would be. Unfortunately I hunted without success for the container and again I gave this a really good look but just couldn't see it.
If I had thought about it I should have aimed to come back this way as I had planned on trying to clean out Muttaburra of caches but because of my detour I wasn't able to sign as many as I would have liked to and I may not be feeling as disappointed as I do now. Never mind this is what caching is about and I did enjoy travelling out here and seeing more of the country and the vast spaces and desolate drought areas. This is as close to the Outback as I will be able to go while here on this trip and I haven't been disappointed with everything I have seen and experienced so far.
