Cache confirmed as missing. I will replace the container once the COVID-19 lockdown is lifted.
Caught the train out to Silverstream late morning and biked the Hutt River tail as far south (southwest) as Ava Station in Petone, where we jumped on the train with our bikes again. Lovely early autumn day and seven caches located along the way, but this wasn’t one of them. Our only DNF for the day. Spent 15-20 minutes looking for it without success. Managed to find a cold bird’s egg in a nest but, sadly, nothing else of consequence anywhere near “chest height”! Yes, we really were foiled again!
This is super hard but it took about 20mins to find and it was satisfying knowing your able to find this one
Found on a cycle ride - Belmont, Taita, Wingate, around to the cemetry, Riverside Drive down to Waiwhetu, across to the River Trail and back to Belmont. A really nice few hours of caching. TFTC
Foiled! On my first try there was an annoyingly placed muggle sitting in his car in an otherwise deserted carpark very close to the hide. Had to carry on walking to my next cache (which dissapointingly looks to be missing - should have checked the logs first...). On my way back past yay the carpark was empty! Nice quick find thanks for the cache
A skillful piece of navigation from me here. The lie of the land was a bit different than my map divulged but I rather unexpectedly found myself within 4 metres of the cache and next minute I was signing the log. TFTC .
At first we thought it had been muggled but upon closer inspection we made out the cache lurking in its dark hidey hole.
Quick find on my way past. A productive day for geolocation games, not so much for work! TFTC jefraser
Lovely quick find on our mission to secure the jewels in Mystery at the museum
Only one spot left on the log, but its nice and dry

# 1614 Have had several attempts to find this one but always foiled by activity in the carpark. This day it was a quick park and grab. Easily found in the first spot looked and in excellent condition. Cheers jefraser.
Quick find with DVH and all quiet at GZ. Did try for this one a few weeks ago but there was a car parked right next to it with a muggle in it so decided to leave it for another day. TFTC.
We were not foiled but had a successful search although the GPS was being unhelpful and very slow to settle. Commonsense or cachersense suggested where we should look and the cache was found.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Find #3050. Caching day on the bike, completing 38kms around Lower Hutt, with the weather undecided if it wanted to be hot or cold, sunny or cloudy, but definitely windy from the SW.
Very quick find in a cold blustery car park! SL TFTC

When I was here last a muggle camped at GZ but today not a soul around. Found the log quickly served on a platter and did the paperwork in the bat mobile. Log in good nick as to be expected with this container. A pleasure.
TFTC, cheers

Working close by, so popped out at lunchtime with a couple of colleagues to grab this cache.

I had planned to find this cache a few months ago but was foiled by the numbers of muggles around and I only really was able to use the opportunity to figure out where the treasure was most likely hidden. This afternoon, I returned and was not foiled again. There were just a few unoccupied cars in the car park and I was able to quickly swoop in and complete my mission.
Tried to find this on a Saturday afternoon. Bad choice. The Carpark was packed and a very old woman was sitting in the passenger seat of the ute next to the cache, with the door open and her beady eyes following every movement in the vicinity . I waited a few minutes but it was clear she was there for the long haul.
Drove off to pick up another cache and returned an hour later only to find the beady eyes still hard at work .
I'll be back, but not on a Saturday!

Day 2 of the Mega, and after completing the inside Lab Caches it is time to pick up as many of the caches on our solved puzzle list as we have time for. This was another trad collected along the way. Plenty of activity not far from GZ, but none close by so I was able to make a stealthy retrieval. TFTC
A quick and easy find. I was on the wrong side of the fence for a while. Thanks
A day spent driving up and down the Hutt Valley finding one or two caches.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheer

Was passing this area today and saw carpark empty so thought it must be opportunity knocking.
On to in very quick as good coords and hint.
TNLNSL, thanks jefraser for placing.
Cache in good shape.

Lots of football activity going on in the adjacent sports field area. This meant lots of comings and goings in the carpark area. After some skilful muggle management we seized on what we had come for.
I visited here with team geocacher zboy wonder. We made a straightforward find. Cache in order, log signed and then re-hidden safely, just as found.

Had to hold still for a good few minutes and do my best tree impersonation while a muggle parked up right next to GZ, then made a quick find and a quicker getaway... TFTC
Nice easy cache. A few cars in teh carpark, but all busy on the fields that we bathed in sunshine. TFTC
I needed to fill a dot day and also wanted to try to make it to 1600.
Now I have an electric (assist) bike, I figured Kelson would be a good test for that too.
It was but with only 3/5 I needed on more and this became my #1600!
This one quick and easy.

My closet unfound cache from the office, actually just across the road. Have been leaving this one until I need to pick one up. Ok didn't 'need' to do it today but why not. Leaving work this morning it was all quiet, sports hadn't yet started so it was an easy retrieve. Parked within meters of the cache.
Thanks for the hide and cache.
Thanks for the hide and cache.
On my bike today. Quick find before cycling round the block then watching some of my partner's hockey game. Never seen this part of the park before, thank you for bringing me here
Nice quick find - Carpark was pretty busy, but no muggles about while I had a quick search.
Spotted the nice little hide, and signed the log.
TFTC!

Oh dear. Couldn't find it. Had a good search with Team Geocacher Mr. T but to no avail. Never mind. Thanks anyway.
I swung by here one evening a couple of weeks ago. It was dark and I was apprehensive as it appeared that whatever was going on was wrapping up so the carpark was quite busy so didn't stick around too long. Came by here today and it was quite busy again, but at least I had light to see by. After a short search I finally found the container - yeah, definitely wouldn't have found that at night. TFTC
All quiet this evening and able to make the quick grab and sign. Thanks for the cache.
Great hint. Car park was full of cars but fortunately all the muggles were on the sports ground. TFTC
Spot on coords led me to the exact right spot and cache found in the first place I looked. All good at GZ with a dry log etc.
Just before 8pm I realised that I’d not done a cache yet today - too busy in the garden at home doing work to keep wifey off my case. A quick check of Cachly indicated there was a park and grab 13 km as the crow flies - so this was the one.
Thanks for the smilie and my cache of the day.

A nice quiet New Year's morning was the perfect time to grab this one. Nice hide, tftc!
#5161. The day before Christmas and with my brief burst of Christmas shopping behind me and some free time available I decided to do a short visit to the Hutt Valley to pick up a few more caches before the Christmas indulgence begins. I noticed these newer caches and so headed this way. The car park was deserted today. I guess all muggles are away shopping? Parked close by and found the cache almost immediately. Nicely placed. Signed the dry log and returned as found. Thanks for the cache jefraser.
#9682. Foiled again in Lower Hutt. A number of cars were in the parking area, but fortunately no one was around GZ itself. Found after a short search. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
