Great spot, geokids had a fabulous time here. We hereby name this beach "Mum I Got Wet" FP from us
Find #734Found while walking Te Araroa - new Zealands long pathway from Cape Reinga to Bluff. Thank you to all the cache owners who place and maintain these caches, and thank you to all the people who help me and others on the way. Some logs signed as LBB to save space.Lovely walk along the coast here, this one took me longer than I expected but I got there in the end. Cache is in good condition
This morning while walking southward along the Te Araroa after finishing the perimeter trail and beginning the rock hopping section from waiwera to orewa at kilometer 535.5 i happened to look at the caching app and saw that I was about to pass this geocache.. we'll why not? I thought to myself. It didn't take me long to figure out where it was located and even less time to get it signed and replaced. Cheers go to the cache owner budokan for hiding this cache and making my day a little more enjoyable. Great little section this didn't get my feet wet the whole way until the end when I realised I needed to clean the mud off my runners besides. Thanks.-- This log is trackable ! ---- Feel free to discover ---- Please mention, in which cache you've seen this code: ---- 3TABQX --
access by foot at low tide, if you come by kayak then high tide was better. TFTC
Didn't take long to clamber up to GZ. Nice day for a walk around this coastline. Tftc
The tide was low as I was coming home from Wenderholm.
A nice walk around the rocks to this beach. Unusual sand.

A great walk around the rocks, the temperature is perfect and once again GeohoundandI forgot her binoculars so we could spot stuff.

found with flossieteacake. this was such a cool beach and once we found the cache we did a bit more exploring and saw lots of really cool starfish. TFTC
What a lovely pink sandy beach. I'd pay $15m if I had it so long as I got the house as well.
Cache in good order.

Well this was a bit of a rush as the tide was coming in and we were rock hopping from Waiwera side. Nearing the beach we had to get the timing right else we were going to get wet. We both made it unscathed. Now we had to be quick to find the cache and sure enough it was found pretty quick. We quickly made our way back to the rocks. In just that short time the water had come up fast. Mr beconaze made the dash and made it but Mrs beconaze did not make it in time and now had wet feet. A favorite point from us for the adventure
A Budokan cache on the way to see Budokan.
As Hanjac said, we name this beach "JB Tunes". An awesome spot - thanks for bringing us here.

It always a pleasure to do a budokan cache when we hit kiwi shores. This one was the one on our radar today.
With the tides perfect we wandered around, missed the showers and made a nice find. Cache in good order.
Thanks budokan for bringing us here, off to puhoi for a few pints of well earned beer with lunch, see you for more at your place soon. Favorite point for giving us a great cache, and the beach to ourselves. Two sets of foot prints in, two sets of foot prints leaving.
We hereby name this beach "JBTunes" with you following up with your comment from the web and co bar.

We Hereby Name This Beach... Vistra Beach.
A friend and I took a trip up to Waiwera beach for a walk this morning and took the opportunity to find a few caches in the area. The tide was out, so we decided to take a walk around the rocks to this lovely little beach. No problems finding the cache at GZ. TFTC, favourite point added!

I thought I would give caching a go today amongst the showers up Waiwera way.
I thoroughly enjoyed the walk to and from this cache inspecting the rock strata. It is certainly fascinating the way that the rock is bent around during an upheaval.
Cheers for the cache.

What b a pirates favourite letter? Rrrrrrr! Nay! Ye might think it b the Rrr, but it actually b the C! Hah! TFTC
The tides were right and the weather hot, so a trip to the beach was definitely on the cards. Didn't have the beach to ourselves, but the other two parties were more interested in their own activities rather than ours. When we did get our dip, was amazed at how warm the water was.

Was passing through Waiwera today and noticed the tide was all the way out. Seems like a great time to wander around the rocks to check out this cache. What a neat little beach, would never have known it was here. I'm sure the council will have a team of people coming up with a name, so best I not interfere in due process...
I was using my phone, and google maps was spot on today. It was a case of once I trusted the map GPS and headed a little further in, I quickly found this nice hide. Gets a FP for the fun walk to this unnamed beach, TFTC

After collecting caches at nearby Wenderholm with Aiden29 and Merlot58, we detoured to Waiwera before heading for an icecream at Orewa. The tide was a long way out and there were lots of muggles around the rocks collecting kai moana. Amazing coloured sand on this no name beach. After expanding the search area, the cache was found. Aiden29 took the TB.
After a great walk at Wenderholm with Jag50 and Aiden29 we decided we had time to grab the Waiwera caches before heading to Orewa for an icecream. The tide was perfect for us to walk around the rocks to this nameless beach which I think shall remain nameless!
Another gorgeous day to spend out geocaching with merlot58 and Jag50. Today we decided to target Wenderholm and since we finished early we continued to Waiwera. The tide was out, and we realised that we could walk around to this cache. It was hard going on the sand and Mrs Jag eventually located this one.
We've been waiting for a good tide time that coincides with Mr TW's day off and today was the day. No traffic build up going north so it was a quick trip to Waiwera and a saunter around the rocks. Lovely day and a nice walk to end the year 2017. Not too great at naming things.. it took at least 8 months to come up names for our children so this beach shall remain nameless. TFTC
Thanks so much Budokan !
Was great to find a private beach I could walk to....didn't need a kayak !
As I was second to find ...and have the distinction of first to access on foot ....
I hearby name the beach
" Supernanny Shores ."
Easy 15 minute stroll...and when I got there or was an easy scramble to a likely place I could see from the beach !
Obviously one needs to go at a lowish tide....and take care on the rocks !

I noted that this newly published cache was still unfound mid morning. This gave me the idea to hire a kayak and have a crack at the first to find. I gave Kiwiscot a call to see if they would like to team up. They were already well under way in their planning, so it was a matter of getting myself organised and catching up. I organised a Kayak and met both Kiwi and Scot at Waiwera Beach. It was easy paddling around the rocks and we soon cruised ashore. I scaled the bank and had the goods in had rather promptly. Took it back to the beach to sign us in as the joint first to find (FTF). We divided up the trackables between us and I dropped two. After returning the hide, we had a brief chat before parting ways. Cheers for the cache placement!
We had been keeping an eye on this cache hoping that it remained unfound and that the tides were right for a little adventure this morning. Having invested in an early Christmas present in the form of kayaks, it was time to test the 2 seater on open water - having only had a trial run in Lake Pupuke. we were just about to enter the water when the phone rang from within the drysafe of the kayak. It was Lostcourse asking if we were keen to go on a FTF hunt. Explaining that we were already there but would hold off ( afterall it is a game, not a life or death event ) , it appears he can move as fast as a speeding bullet. We paddled around to Waiwera from Hatfields, where he was just about ready to launch. Now back to finding the cache. Kiwi tried to take us to a beach further round but LC was more onto it having programmed his garmin. Onto the pristine beach, a quick search and cache was in hand. Obligatory photo shoot completed now to our seperate ways.
As we walked along the beach we were encouraged to avoid a black oystercatcher (tōrea pango), nest, with it's attempt to lead us away- successfully in its duty. Therefore we have opted to name this beach Tōrea Pango, after all they appear to have a home right on the water front
We took our time on our return to Hatfields, stopping off at several of the exclusive "at hightide only" beaches.
We thoroughly enjoyed our little paddle this morning. Joint (FTF) , Kiwiscots FTF coin visited. TFTC
