Stopped on our way to Motueka. Found as described. Thanks for this cache Isis58.
Stopped in here to sort out this cache on my way past today. I guess someone must've dropped the lid but its nowhere to be sen so popped in a new replacement today.
Very wet log, managed to scrawl date but pen wouldn't work after that. Lid missing so replaced upside down. At least it will dry out. TFTC
I was beginning to wonder if there was a hiding spot, then found the cx in a nifty spot. TFTC.

Cute church & whilst RNZ fossicked for the cache & avoided the animal poop, I watched the buck in the farmers paddock getting very excited by the hinds next door. He was leaping & galloping around getting very excited in his attempts to get loose & provide those lovely ladies with his male attentions!! He wasn't quite roaring to get their attention, but he was definitely displaying his physical prowless to woo them to his charms.
We decided to explore Tapawera today & grab a few caches RNZ was targeting. Included a lovely bush walk in Shedwoods Nature Reserve, the bird song here was epic A lovely picnic lunch at the top, homemade egg sandwiches with chippies added for texture, yum!! Then a drive down the Ngatimoti Valley, I love it here so many wonderful childhood memories

This is a cute little church.
And they don’t seem to have an issue with letting the livestock loose in the grounds either, which is not a bad thing, as long as you clean your boots after a visit.
I initially thought this one was gone, but some slightly more focused fossicking unearthed it.
RG was captivated by what I am going to call a buck (it had antlers) in the nearby paddock chasing what I am gonna call hinds (they didn’t) in its adjacent paddock. High fencing doing its job with farmed deer. Idk, not a farmer type, might have those definitions wrong. Is it roaring season soon though? Are they on heat? Dunno.
No RG photos today, which is disappointing. Just boring scenery ones.
TFTC Isis58. Seemed to be an event on at the nearby school so drove on through. Another time.
Today’s plan was going to be to head up to Beeby’s for a decent walk.
But we weren’t feeling too chipper this morning, so went to plan B. Which is a walk up Shedwood track in Tapawera.
This has been on my radar for a while, so I was keen to have a look. And unlike the last time I was here and attempted it but bailed, the weather was great.
No issues with any caches today - we did the 4 up here and found a half dozen on the cycleway on the way in and an even more select few on our way to the Upper Moutere pub for a ‘debrief’. Thanks all COs, had a great day.

A quick easy find, although we seemed to frighten the sheep through to the adjoining paddock. TFTC
Heading over to the West Coast for a weekend and was intending on logging a nearby challenge cache so had flagged caches either side as a marker but managed to miss it so will pick up on homeward journey. Thanks Isis58 for this cache, all in good order.
A quick find for Tregearp and me on our way to the West Coast for a few walks and caches.
Logging on our return, a few caches, but the weather defeated us with rivers in flood and roads closed. Still, beautiful and enjoyed other parts of the Coast. Thanks Isis58 for the cache.

#20088. Troodles lead the way and found the cache. Good parking at an interesting facility. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ as we made our way from Takaka to St Arnaud on yet another lovely spring day.
We have found the cache over the road at the school, so good to find this one today. Had to wade through longish wet grass to GZ - and noticed that SW hung back and let me get wet feet . TFTC.

*Thanks Isis58 for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!*
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
Weather a bit better today with only a few showers of rain
*Soon had this cache located!*

A nice quick find thanks.
Found on a lovely days drive to Motueka, with Ms_KR, the start of our holiday. A lovely day, with only a few showers along the way.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

There was a little lamb and its mother in the paddock, tried not to spook them. Quick n easy find here.
I was just down the road at the school and then noticed this cache so I just had to find it. Thanks isis58.
The last time I came past here in September it was Sunday 11:00am. No chance of looking then. Nice and quiet today. Pleased to be able to tick this one off the list. TFTC
We always like to call in at these quaint little churches in NZ. This was delightful, with the Xmas features still in place, although I was a bit worried the camel would blow away!! TFTC and an FP
I got here just after 11 while Sunday Service was happening. I decided I'd probably look a bit suspicious, so I will return another day.
Found with Ulmuslynx, we searched around but it wasn’t long before we had the cache in our hands
Thank you Isis58 for the cache

Nice and easy find in this picturesque area, will have to bring mrs capperz for a look-see. T F T C Isis58.
Have been perusing my 'local' map and looking for clusters of caches for me to drive out to and making a day trip of (without the dangers of big drops/mountainous terrain/weather-vulnerable) and the area either side of the Motueka river looked a likely target area. I've not been any further than Tapawera on this side road and also not fully explored the back road of Motueka. So I sat right down and wrote myself a . . . . cache list. Target caches totalled over 40 and I was keen to get as many of those as I could. The final total was 37 finds, 3 DNFs and one tree climbing not attempted, or stopped for. My cache find total bumandworker went up again, and my Sidewaze totals are pushing towards third place in my all-time list of COs. A great day out and such beautiful Autumn scenery that the camera cannot truly convey. Scouted out some decent looking trout fishing spots too. Thanks to all COs for their placements. Individual logs at the start of the listing.

During our holiday in New Zealand we have visited both the North and the South Island. We saw a lot of highlights of this beautiful country, but there is so much more to see. So many highlights, so many caches! The geocaches showed us a lot of special and interesting places. Sometimes a quick find, sometimes we had to search longer. A few DNF's, but that doesn't matter. We loved New Zealand and we hope to come back some day!
Today we have found the cache "Stanley Brook Community Church (Tasman)".
Isis58, thanks for creating and maintaining this cache!

Paper log for this one is quite degraded. Beautiful spot though, unique smell!
The church looks like the outside could use a wash and repaint, but the inside is still awesome. Christ looks decidedly not Jewish. Funny how perceptions change.
It's raining, and there is no cellphone covereage here, so all I have is a title and coordinates. Not too hard a find, though.
---
Off to Motueka to drop a bike back into Dad's place. New handle bar grips, brakes fixed, new rear bearings, crank bearings fixed - about the only thing that worked correctly was the gearing. Anyway, all good now, back home it goes. Stopped off here along the way.

We have been here before but with the church having a different name then. Headed towards GZ starting to think mm this isnt looking good!!! Got closer to inspect GZ and found the cache nicely tucked away all safe and sound. TFTC
Having done the previous cache here we knew where we were heading to - Strech0 didnt think he could spot it at GZ then he said oh no wait i have it log is quite wet - but 80% of the caches we have done lately are the same way - managed to scrawl our names on the log thanks for the cache
Not much happening here today so a quick find then a coffee at Flat rock. TFTC.
Night shift last night, so got up at lunch time to the sound of rain on the roof. Needed a cache today for multiple reasons and this was perfect. Had been overlooked on previous visits to the area. A nice country drive in the wet and Gz arrived. A quick find and all well with cache. Log a wee bit damp but still ok. Thanks Isis58.
Queens Birthday Weekend so we are off caching for the long weekend. Todays route took us from Greymouth to Motueka via Dovedale. We both remember the previous cache here but this time there were no sheep in the paddock. A quick easy first. The log has blackened on the front but the reverse side is still white and dry and has plenty of room to write on. Thanks for the effort in placing the cache for everyone else's enjoyment.
A late in the day decision to combine a geocache or two with a driving lesson. With the lesson conplete we carried on from Tap to here. We really do enjoy these remote country combined with historical spot caches. We also got treated to seeing the nearby deer prancing across the field. Very cool.
Thanks Isis58 for the cache.

A slight detour on our way from Tapawera to St Arnaud. Nice easy find but left with filthy hands Thanks Isis58

Having visited Motueka this morning I thought that I'd take the long way home.
Been here before, I have.
A quick find and sign. Tell the vicar that he needs to get the shepherds in to get the grass shorter.

On a mission to find a couple of caches today. I hadn't really thought much about which direction I'd head but when I mentioned Marahau I was reminded that I probably wouldn't be able to follow my preferred route. Then I checked the caches that had been published today and realised there was a possible FTF at Kohatu. Decision made. I was very fortunate to turn the possible FTF into an actual FTF, then picked up this bonus on the way home. Thanks !!!!
Geeps! I wake up this morning to the realisation that it’s a one-sie day today and if I’m going to keep to my personal caching challenge for the year I need to come up with a plan!
It was almost three years since I was last here for this cache’s predecessor. On that day I had to run the gauntlet at the GZ with a flock of the wooly variety but they must had been performing missionary work in another paddock today.
Quick find following a nose through the windows.
Thanks

On a very wet grey morning we stopped at this lonely little church. I squelched across the wet grass to the only obvious hidey hole which I circled twice before spotting the well hidden cache. Thanks.
We had a thermos etc in the car so this was the designated area to stop for a cuppa. Found the cache here then went to the old school which has picnic tables. The sun was out so the picnic tables were abandoned as the shade by the building was preferred.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I'm spending some time in Nelson & had decided I'd like to explore out in this direction. Never quick to start the day - so it was quite hot by the time I arrived at Tapawera, then drove on to Tadmor.
Somehow I found myself turning North again as I left Tadmor, rather than going on to Glenhope - so pottered on through towards Motueka.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, Isis58.
Just loved the lifesized Nativity scene by the roadside !

Some overdue maintenance and three new caches up the valley were enough of an excuse to go for a drive. We'd been here before and remembered the previous cache. With only two hint items we put the GPS away and of course checked the wrong one first. Only a few steps towards hint item two I noticed something strange in the tinder dry grass. I wanted to kick it along just because I could and maybe identify it with a tiny wee CITO event in mind. It rolled under my foot and to my surprise I held the missing "birdie" cache in my hand. The next event this trophy will be dutifully returned to its rightful owner. After this first find we still needed to do what we came here for. It was a quick find. Not often do you walk away with a find each at the same GZ [^] [^] Thank you Isis58
I remember the first cache here and after today will remember it's replacement too as well as this newer one.
As I neared GZ Hazedarus asked "is this what you're looking for?" as he picked up a cache from the long grass. That didn't compute with the hint so I continued to GZ to see how we could make it more secure where it should have been. Oh, but here's the cache where it's meant to be so further investigation indicated this was the archived replacement for the original. Two for the price of one.
Thank you Isis58.

GPS initially sent me to the opposite back corner of the section but corrected and headed back to where I remember finding the last cache here. GLB1721 TFTC (4089)
I remember the other cache here, and I'm pleased to stop on my way to chch to find this one in a cool hiding spot. So so dry and no relief in sight on another stinking hot summer day.
Thanks very much!
Thanks very much!
A wee detour then off to the beach
WE recalled the last hide once we got here.
Noted the outdoor nativity scene.
Thanks a lot for the cache.

FTF I took advantage of a day off work to take a drive in the country this morning to go and find a few caches. I thought that this was a familiar place from a previous cache. New hiding spot is spot on. All good here. Liked the extra gate across the doorway to keep the sheep out. TFTC, Biggles.
We have been here before. This is a good hide, nice and secure. Another FDF to add to our collection for the challenge. Thanks Isis58 for the cache
