I almost didnt continue my walk up the hill to this one but decided I would as it wasnt that much further. I spent ages at GZ hunting hunting and eventually quitters luck kicked in. Took me more than 10 minutes to locate this one. TFTC
Having had the Flu and been home confined for two weeks I needed to get out and get some fresh air so decided to head to the Punchbowl reserve to get some caches and enjoy a walk.Cache and contents in excellent condition.
A sprinkler was turned on at GZ which made this an interesting search. The GPS was jumping around and had me searching all the pines in the area before I finally stood back and spotted the hide from a distance. Thanks for the smiley Addison Pascal.
Local holiday caching trip. This is so close to home for us! (Got out before the rain)
looked for this one before it had been replaced with a different type of hide. Didn't take too long this time. Thanks for keeping this one going. Maybe edit the rest of your description ?
A group of 11 of us from New Zealand have come over to cache in Tasmania, stayed at Hadley Orient Hotel in Hobart for the last 3 nights. Stayed our first night last night here Launceston. This is our 5th day here. G-2 (driver) and Pagenz and me in our rental. No idea where the others are.
Pagenz wanted to grab this one so who am I to stop her! If she wants help, she'll yell out.

Rushed off to find this one and after the first look - nothing so decided to get closer and walked into the cache.... first time for everything.
Out and about caching in the Launceston area and this was one we found.. Punchbowl is always a nice spot to return to. TFTC
out and about caching in the Launceston area to get out of the maze, a sunny day as opposed to Hobart. TFTC TNLN log dry.
Thanks for the cache AddisonPascal.
In the north of the state with RLD4963 and the two GeoGSP's.
It was a beautiful afternoon to be visiting this reserve, have not been here for a long time. Thanks for adding to the caches in the area.

##Cache Maintenance Required please.##
This geocache has been brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit, to address the issue described in the logs.
The cache owner needs to either fix the problem or archive the listing, after picking up any geo-litter. In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page.
See the maintenance section of the [Geocache Hiding Guidelines](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance).
If there is a good reason for a delay in enabling this cache, please post an update note log here on the cache page so that everyone will know what's going on.
When the maintenance is completed, you can re-enable the listing by entering an "Enable Listing" log, and then post an "Owner Maintenance" log to clear the "Needs Maintenance" attribute, if set.
I will check back in 30 days to be sure that the maintenance has been done, or that further information has been provided.
If there has been no action to repair the cache, or explain the situation, unfortunately I will need to Archive this cache. Caches archived because of lack of maintenance will not be unarchived.
The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is out there to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.
Thank you

This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
Walked down the hill for this one. Spent quite a while looking with no luck. It had a few DNF so will report this one. If the cache owner does replace it can they send me some more info please
Couldn't see much except the lid of a plastic Bison tube!? Not sure if cache is missing !?
Very tricky little cache. Hard to get to as the last searcher said there is a fallen tree over the area now which made searching harder than it needed to be. Logbook full. Beautiful stroll out here today tftc
A largish oak has fallen into back of the larger pine.
Only found half a green plastic sphere used for grafting.
Needs checking.

Nice cache. Walked to this one from the carpark. Cache was very quickly spotted. Shame someone has destroyed the grafting on the nearby tree thinking it was a cache. Log is full and need replacing. I didn't have one to leave as we are on holidays from Qld and I don't have my caching supplies with me. TFTC.
Hi, i found the cache very quickly at GZ despire my phone GPs having suddenlt going awol. I did make my mark on the log despite it being full and a little bit damp and mouldy. The rhododendrons were in flower.

Easy find. Log wet and jammed. Cannot DNF. Took photo. TFTC. Found on our TASMANIA ALL OVER journey. Join us on Facebook page of that name.
Hi AddisonPascal, many thanks for the cache, found with my great mate AlbyDangles (a previous finder here).
Today we'd headed north under the pretence of collecting a piece of furniture; but of course we were geocaching, and may I say, a great day out with fantastic company.
Back in Launnie after a side trip to Mount Barrow ended in disappointment, thwarted by nasty nasty weather, we still had more than an hour to fill in pre-furniture, so we targetted a few caches in Norwood and Punchbowl.
This one took way, way, way too long, but it was finally found, out in the open, with the log container separated from its 'host'. Log was not signed, it was all a bit wet after being out in the elements, and previous entries suggest the log is full. I have a picture of the cache, as found. I put it back as I understand how/where it probably should be.
Thanks for the reason to stop here.
Cheers, EPs.

Another stop in Punchbowl, and a quick dart off to the cache. What a nice cache hide. Very clever
Log book needs replacement as it is full - sign of a successful cache

I had a pretty good idea of what the cache would be on approach and was proved correct. No problems spotting it. The log book is full though.
Thanks for the cache AddisonPascal.

Accommodation at Aberdeen overnight after staying in Launceston for a work dinner. Headed to Punchbowl early this morning to log this little beauty and an Earthcache. TFTC AddisonPascal and very inventive cache thank you
Camped at Launceston, out around town today for a few caches. Quick find, good coordinates. Cache all good. Have seen several hides like this before.TFTC
We're currently staying in Launceston over the Australia Day long weekend (we're from Hobart), taking some time for a leisurely holiday with a bit of geocaching thrown in here and there.
Today, our travels took us to two beautiful spots: the wonderful Punchbowl Reserve, and Carr Villa Flora Reserve (with a quick detour for a mystery cache along the way). In all we found seven traditional caches, one mystery cache, and one EarthCache. We had no DNFs today, but came perilously close a couple of times!
We'd passed by this one on the way in to Punchbowl Reserve, noticing there was a convenient parking spot on the other side of the road. After spending a wonderful couple of hours exploring the reserve, it was time for us to depart, via this cache.
We had no trouble finding the general location of the cache, and only minimal trouble tracking down the container - we've been experimenting with a similar design.
Thanks for the cache - it took us to a part of the reserve we'd otherwise never have had an excuse to explore.

After finding the nearby 3D cache I decided I may as well grab this one too while I was in the area. A nice like uphill stroll to get the blood and heart pumping! A very pretty setting. A clever cache which I'm proud to say didn't take me very long find! SL (the last spot) TFTC AddisonPascal
Found container thrown on the floor so have returned it to its hidey hole - have seen this type before so knew what to look for tftc

After a stroll up the hill looking back at the places we'd hide out as a kid, we managed to make a find after reading the previous logs. TFTC
Hello AddisonPascal thank you for the cache.
A nice easy find spotted it quickily. still raining.
I wanted to find some caches so I could get some Hidden Creatures souvenirs that I can proudly display on my profile page that no one will see.
I travelled up from Hobart for this search.

Found it. Very well hidden.
Didn’t sign as didn’t have anything to get log out with.

I was out and about looking for a couple of caches and decided this would be an easy one to find if I took a certain path, wow, that path was steep and didn't really get me where I wanted to go, but I kept on walking knowing that it would eventually get me somewhere and once there found a much more easier and obvious way to get to this cache. What a sneaky one too, I thought I knew what I was looking for and almost gave up and saw something not quite right and soon had the little bugger in hand and duly signed. TFTC.
Back in Tassie finding caches that have been published since our visit.
This took a while, but after reading the hint I eventually made the find. We found the cache to be about 10 m away from GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Took a few mins of looking before i got this one but after looking for the odd there it was
The weather today had been rather ...
... er ... nasty
Those thunderstorms this morning sure packed a punch
But this being Tasmania,
I was now wandering around the Punchbowl in sunshine
And in the pines,
I soon spied the rather out of place cache camo
*"One of these things is not like the others.*
*Tell me can you guess which one ??"*

Great container! Jumpy GPS slowed me up on the search but got there in the end! TFTC!!
My new year's resolution is to fill in all those empty days on my geocaching calender. That's today marked off.

Having read the logs we approached this one with some trepidation, but Mrs D had her caching eyes working at full power today and she quickly found the sneaky cache while Mr D (me) walked around in circles. Nice work AddisonPascal and thanks for the creative cache.
Thanks Kiddio I have seen your photolog but it made it a bit too obvious what the cache is, so I deleted the note entry.
Had no idea what to look for and was working without a GPS, so I am in debt to the person who took the picture. Great location, crazy disguise work.
Found with my mum & all the other event attendees when we went to SeeMyShells geocaching event at punchbowl. This was a tricky one but we found it with team work TFTC (this is a late log as i’m just catching up on my logs now)
Out caching with JLRockstar, they said they can’t find it till I spotted it! Awesome hind TFTC
Round and round I went, searching high and low. Thought to myself, if it were my hide, where would it be?, and there it be.. thanks..!!
As usual the path I took was much harder on the way there than on the way back. Once at GZ I thought there would be 2 different types of hides that could be here. My first instinct paid off and so thankfully it was a quick find. Didn’t find it on the event day because I forgot about it till I saw some other finds on it later. So back I came by myself a few days later. TFTC
Well what do you know right in the middle of the event a new was published by AddisonPascal so we all headed off towards GZ in the rain, there must have been a dozen of us searching for the cache in the end but after about five minutes one of us found it and we added our name as the event people to save space.
So a joint {*FTF*} for evenyone, I was hoping to meet AddisonPascal again as the last time was a chance meeting in Alex Victoria
Thanks for the cache.

Whilst at the event, someone said that a new cache had been posted in the area, so off we all went up the hill and all arriving at different time. We were one of the last to arrive having started later than most. However the cache had not been found by the time we arrived, the cry went up Got it and it was agreed that a joint {FTF} be made.
I forgot about today’s event until I got notification about this new cache, then several people found it quickly, so no FTF for me on this one.
Was sitting at home bored, partner was snoring in front of the TV at 10:30pm, so I hit the road to find this new cache. Was able to park pretty close to the GZ. Little bit wild, windy and wet out at the GZ, but once I spotted the tree I knew what I had to look for, and wasn’t long until I had the sneaky hide in hand. It took longer to get the log out than it did to find the cache. These sneaky hides can be difficult and time consuming to find, or you can get lucky and find them quickly, thankfully on a rough night like tonight, I got lucky. This one brings up find number 980 for me, aiming for the 1000 by years end.

I was disappointed you couldn't make the event in person but it was great you were there in another way. We all trundled up the hill in the humid evening and were soon looking around in the rain. It took a bit of searching but with such a crowd we knew we'd find it eventually. We all agreed we would log this as a joint {*FTF*}.
Thanks AddisonPascal

Hi there AddisonPascal.
We found your cache **"Punchbowl Pines"** at approximately 6:00:00 PM today. (This brings our total find count to 18537).
Due to some really inclement weather, the only plan for today was to attend the nearby event and to log a nearby cache. (Our previous attempt wasn't too successful as the muggles sitting at the table didn't want to move ). It was an unexpected bonus to find that this cache had been published as well.
A short hike from the event location had us slogging up hill while there was a pause in the rain. After circling and circling - and circling some more the elusive cache was finally found. (To save space in the log book, a joint "event attendees" log was signed in the FTF spot.
Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places to visit on our nomadic wander around Australia.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.
