With Gap (of Fap and Gap)… The NZ Mega is done and dusted, and now behind us. What to do for the rest of the day? The plan is to continue caching together with (Mr) Davidson Clan, McJandals, and Philip.Perry…

Serenity: What a beautiful park! It almost has a feel of someone’s private garden… We strolled through trailing behind an enthusiastic Philip. Perry. He ascended and took care of the logging. That was a great cache container! Thanks Tuolei and TFTC.

22-Jan-22
Up in Auckland for the mega with Philip.Perry and McJandals. Left home at 0300 over the hill to Tauranga to pick up the others in Auckland by 6am. Only plans today are to attend Mega sign log there then follow the map to get as many caches as possible. Signed logs TeamBOP.
Nice cache that was fun FP

22-Jan-22
FINALLY we get to attend the MEGA. Attending as part of Team BoP. We have a load of solved puzzles and whilst we are concentrating on those, won’t pass up on trads either.

Great cache. Fp. Nice lil park.

I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

22-Jan-22
Team BOP is back on the road this time heading to Auckland with our sights set on some Labs, puzzle solves and the NZ Mega 2020… I mean 2022

Our current incarnation includes Davidson Clan, McJandals and myself and we’ve signed the cache logs as ‘Team BOP’ to save time and log space. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the journey as most caches have been found quickly & without fuss thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placements.

I appreciate there’s a stigma attached to cut’n’paste logs like these so I’ll try to provide cache specific notes retrospectively when I get home. We do genuinely respect the work put into these caches, particularly some of the puzzles, but with a numbers mission like this - the hides start to blur together unfortunately. So Cheers COs, TFTC and most importantly - thanks for bringing us here

Bit of a lark to get to that one.
It's been on my list for awhile now.
So I stop for lunch and killed 2 birds with one stone.
Thanks for a great cach.

What a delight. Did my usual pre-find, where do I think it will be? what would the hide look like? and right on the button for both points. t4tc

Wow that was a bit hard in the dusk light. Description was very handy.felt like a kid again...with Sportynz

10-Jan-21
It was quickly spotted due to the hint. It took some effort to get up, but I managed to retrieve the log sheet. Luckily I had my brother helping me. Thanks for the cache placement in this very shady reserve (much needed on a hot summer's day)

04-Jan-21
Fantastic hiding place!

24-Nov-20
Quickly spotted and slightly less quickly retrieved!

Thanks for another one!

Arrived at GZ and puzzled by the hint - a bit of googling and it really didn't make sense to me, anyway read the description and the penny dropped, soon had the logbook signed and returned.

08-Aug-20
Find number 6944. I was doing a couple of escape rooms nearby and had a break so we walked over to GZ. As we entered the park my daughter spotted a Tui in the tree. Was that a hint? Once at GZ my son's partner spotted something of interest. Then my son did the signing of the log for me. Thank you for the placement.

I was sure I'd been to this park previously, but must have been before this caches time.....glad no one was around, made for a quick locate and signing.

Fav. Point given here.

Due to the government ordered Covid-19 lockdown, I will be doing my bit to #slowthespread. From 11.59pm on Wednesday 25 March 2020, I will not be accepting any Found logs on any of my geocaches, until the Level 4 Alert is lifted.

Please do not embarrass yourself, your hobby and your country by thinking that geocaching is essential - it is not.

If you would like a geocaching related activity to do while you are observing the lockdown, I welcome messages about how to solve my puzzle caches - I am happy to give hints and tutorials so you have lots of new caches to find when this is over.

Lovely park. Supernannny stood amused as I retrieved the cute cache.

07-Mar-20
I hadn't found an Auckland cache for a while so while I was out I stopped to check for near by caches.
This was very close to where I parked but the promise of tree climbing had me recalling chickening out of two other caches. I researched a few more that were further away but they didn't seem worth the effort. So I decided to at least check this one out.
Thankfully at GZ I spotted the cache at an acceptable climb so up I went. I'm glad i chose this one - although replacing the log was the toughest bit.

Great hide! Logbook signed. Pants didn't split so thats a win.

Looking for a cache to get the souvenir. Used to live around this area so knew the park well. With all the hints in the description it was an easy find and not hard to get. But as I opened it the log fell. Luckily Reveurs we on the ground to retrive it, sign it and hand it back to me to replace. A neat cache. TFTC.

Out for a quick pick up with Lycurgon for the souvenir Smile TFTC

Another day, another cache!

This one took a bit of flexibility and should have looked at the terrain rating more closely!

But finally got the little sucker!

#6681. I am up in Auckland for several days attending meetings and presenting a talk at night. After todays meeting at the museum finished at 3pm, I had a few spare hours before my flight back to Wellington tonight. So slowly making my way back to the airport via a few inner city caches. Found the road under the southern motorway and parked close by. Headed over to the GZ. Good coordinates and soon spied the cache perched above me. Managed to scramble up the tree and reach the cache. But dropped the logbook so back down to ground level. Signed the logbook and up I went again to replace everything as found. Thanks for the cache tuolei.

27-Dec-18
Had to laugh when I spotted this neat hide, didn't take long to get this one safely in hand, cheers

25-Dec-18
This was a fun find. We did it at night and yes it proved trickier navigating the terrain after a few days of constant rain. But thankfully the neighbors karaoke were keeping the muggles distracted. So clever that's why it's one of our faves. TFTC

21-Dec-18
I thought I might be a little challenged but with a little effort, the target was obtained. Tftc

09-Dec-18
We were lucky to arrive at the park at a quiet time just before dusk.
We spotted the cache quite quickly and even more quickly retrieved the log in case any muggles came along.
What a pretty little park, we had no idea it was here. Thanks tuolei.

29-Nov-18
Was in the area on business, saw this was close by. There was a muggle that gave me a strange look as she walked past. She may have seen me exiting from the cache location, wondering why I would be there. Log signed and replaced once coast was clear. All in good health. TFTC

27-Oct-18
Was in the area waiting to collect my brother.

Am sure I have been to this park before.

Found the cache quickly. Didn’t take long to retrieve it.

13-Oct-18
what an appropriate disguise considering i saw several of its cousins on location.

07-Oct-18
Brilliant. Thanks for replacing it. Sadly we didn’t have a pen with us as we walked through to mark we were there.

Cache replaced

22-Sep-18
Got word that this one may have flown off again - will disable for now as not in town to check for another week or so - have replacement ready to go.

18-Aug-18
I had actually been to this one once before in the middle of a storm. I hadn't read the log page properly then and the rain was that bad that each time I looked in the appropriate direction I got hit in the eyes with rain... it was also quite windy as well. And so on that occasion I abandoned the search. However, when I returned today I saw what I needed to see straight away... and after a small bit of effort I soon had the cache in hand, log book signed, and put the cache back in its spot all ready for the next hunter. This cache, while very cool, needs to be re-glued at some stage, but I think I put it back in a way that should keep it's position. Anyway, once again thank you tuolei for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. I would recommend this one for families... a bit of an adventure. This one also gets a favourite point from me. Smile

Day #729 in a row

Yes found it, signed log, and put it back on its perch.
CO might like to reglue a couple of things.

Before my trading started I had some time so I chose this little Cache for a warm up. Nice hide!
There are not many climbing Caches in NZ, which is a bit sad as I like them. That's why I will give a FP here.
Thanks for hiding!

29-May-18
I had a bit of time to spare this morning before heading off to work meetings so I went to find a few caches. Nice one! That was a bit of unexpected fun. Coordinates good so I approached GZ had a look around and down and up and spotted what I needed to spot. Got into position to retrieve the cache and sign the log and that was that. TFTC, Biggles.

23-May-18
I was in the area and realised it was a dot day, so a quick check of the caching app and I found this was the closest one. There were a couple of people in the park so had to wait for them to leave before attempting this one. The recent rains have made everywhere very boggy and slippery. The cache was easily spotted and after planning my route I was quickly able to sign the log before anybody came. Gets a FP from me! TFTC!

Ryan was caching after work today and the mission was to clean up the caches between his work and his place of abode. Used the photo on the cache page to help and he soon had the very cool cache in hand. Fav point added and this CO has a great reputation for his trade mark caches. Always worth the visit. Cheers

27-Apr-18
Out in the area doing some car shopping we needed to grab a couple of caches for a dot day. This one was quite surprising as we were unsure what the area was going to be like going in off what looked to be a driveway with a large bag of litter lying to one side when all of a sudden it turned into a really nice little park.
Cache was spotted straight away and even though I was starting to feel a little under the weather made the climb to retrieve while Mrs B signed the log that I passed down to here. Another cute cache - thanks.

The weather was awful for the weekend, so instead of geocaching we made plans to complete an Escape room. This new cache was so close, and even though it was raining we just couldn't leave it. So after lunch we headed here. The rain had eased off some. Being the tallest member I said I'd climb the tree. Hesitated a bit when I saw where it was. Took off my raincoat, and climbed up the tree in less than appropriate tree-climbing clothes (jeans and good shoes). Once up I passed down the cache to the others and hung around to put it back. Ended up soaked half through from leaning against the tree to stop from falling down. Had to wait even longer, as merlot pushed the cache too far in and had to retrieve it. Fav point.

11-Feb-18
It was a rainy weekend and we were suffering cabin fever. We needed to get out of the house so met up with Merlot and Aiden to attempt a nearby Escape room. We managed to escape the room within the allocated time, so headed off for lunch to celebrate. After lunch the rain had eased a little, so we headed to this nearby cache. We nominated the tallest member in our group to retrieve this one for us. After signing ourselves in, Merlot returned the cache to its container and the cache went in too far. After a little persistence, the cache was retrieved and returned to its home. Thanks for the fun and excuse to get out in the rain. FP from us.

11-Feb-18
With the rain not letting up all weekend the Jags, Aiden29 and I decided to tackle one of the Escape Rooms nearby. While there Mrs Jag happened to mention this cache and as it was still persisting down when we finished we went for a spot of lunch afterwards. Once we were watered and fed and as there was a slight ease in the wet stuff we decided that was our opportunity to come and grab this cache. Aiden was the tallest so was sent up and lowered the cache down to us, Mr Jag signed the log and I just had one job... to return the log to the container which I did a wee bit too vigorously and oops, right up it went. I really am grateful that the rain was keeping potential muggles inside as I'm not sure what they would have made of me with my finger up a you know what! Thanks for the fun cache, it gets a fp from me

02-Feb-18
Headed out with a tree climber who had a bit of fun finding this cache. This one gets a favourite from us. TFTC

31-Jan-18
Leisurely lunch time stroll just down the road to collect our daily cache. Spotted immediately and no issues retrieving, signing the log and replacing. Helps being a little taller. TFTC Smile

29-Jan-18
Replaced - will archive if it goes walkabout again, a man's not made of pigeons.

22-Dec-17
I was afraid a muggle pushing a stroller was going to get too close, but she kept her distance and gave me time to get the cache.
I was happy I wasn't wearing high heels and business dress like A80 (see next log), but still it was a strain and a squeeze for me to get this one. The clip disintegrated ostensibly from UV exposure, but I wedged it securely back in place for the next cacher. TFTC.

19-Dec-17
On my way home from work today I made a quick stop at the park. How to retrieve this one now wearing high heels and business dress... managed somehow and signed the log. TFTC

18-Dec-17
Noticed this new cache last week and being so close to home thought it should be the next one to tick off on the list.a quick visit after work to another place we hadnt been before.looked around the gz and it wasnt too long before we noticed something.my partner climbed up the tree to retrieve and once we got the pen working the log was signed.a fantastic cameo just a same we didnt cover up and are now covered in bites.

16-Dec-17
Came and swapped over the container and will fix the broken one. Some meanie put this pretty high! Put pack on to the intended perch. Please be careful removing from the perch so it doesn't break, thanks.

11-Dec-17
I took the elder Future Finder to a nearby hobby store this afternoon. With that out of the way, we decided on finding this hide before starting the journey back home. I didn't have this one in th GPSr, but guessed the right GZ on arrival. But, having not read the cache page I didn't look up enough. Fired up the app and a bit of reading set me straight. Still, that was half the task. Wish I had my pruning saw on me, to take care of those pesky little branches. Anyway, soon completed the formalities, and after a safe landing, time to head for home. Cheer for the cache placement!

11-Dec-17
Wow....finally signed this off !
Was having dinner at my sister's place very close by....and my 25 yr old rock climbing and slim, athletic neice was happy to help !
She had it in a flash !
So pleased....my third time here...the other times I just couldn't manage. ..
I must say I wish I could have seen Jard or Lostcourse doing the business....would have been entertaining !!!!!
I didn't think I'd fit in between those skinny branches !
Thanks for the cool hide tuolei !

06-Dec-17
After a DNF at a tuolei Puzzle Cache this morning, I needed another cache to continue my daily streak (Day #337) so I stopped off here on my way home to find this one. Was wearing my gumboots so it was the easiest retrieve but I got there. Looks like it is broken CO. Nice cache in a beautiful wee reserve. Worth an FP.

05-Dec-17
Very cool....but will enlist the help of a daughter or niece or nephew......maybe on Christmas day as we are meeting at nearby Greenlane for dinner ....Good party game !

This morning hayleyfcy and I were solving lots of puzzle caches in the area when we saw this on the map and realized only 1 person had found it did far. We got ready and went out to get it.

When we arrived at the GZ we looked for the correct tree and the cache wad very quickly discovered. Usually it isn't me who tries these climbs but I was up for it today (pun half intended). It wasn't too hard to get to the cache. Love the design. This is the closest we've ever been to a f2f so a good start to the day!

Lovely little park here too!

03-Dec-17
Yay we're second to find this cache! It was easy to spot but was a bit harder to get to. Cool cache, hopefully it lasts and doesn't get damaged as some of the bits are a bit fiddly. Normally I'm the one that does this kind of retrieval but michaelteacher did this one. Tftc Smile
