Day 8
Bathurst to Canberra
Awesome location and took a bit of time for us out-of-towners to find the best entry point.. and a bit of searching to get the right spot..
Fortunately Strangetrouser got the right spot.. we did some exploring after the find .. great spot !!
Final day of our caching trip but it was a great trip
This is a Road trip south back to ACT, originally to Dayboro, but now a caching trip around NSW for the Easter break.
found with StrangeTrousers
thanks Archie_03

#7197 Last day of our "Dayboro Plan B" trip. mtrax & myself, having decided to ditch the mega came up with a last minute re-route using some of the accommodation we'd already booked and find some interesting caches. To this end we were very selective and only chose caches with sufficient FPs along the route. Today we are heading home, leaving Bathurst and heading down south via the AL on Mt Panaorama. Warm clear conditions again today, unlike north of the border
We had to evaluate how to approach this one, but it wasn't too hard in the end. It took a while to locate the actual cache but it's a great spot and we enjoyed it. Well worth the effort.
Thanks Archie_03

Caching with Key_Tat, Viper_101 and GreenBath during our Xmas break in Bathurst... this took us ages.... a few messages sent to the CO and a lot of swearing... but we got the smiley in the end... TFTC
Found with Key_Tat, Tatt2squared and GreenBath on our Christmas holidays visiting family for Xmas... Thanks for placing, took ages... but an awesome place to spend some time. TFTC
Caching with Tatt2squared, Viper_101 and GreenBath while visiting for Christmas... an amazing location and awesome hide which took us ages... thanks for the experience.
TFTC after a good 20 minutes I was ready to give up and call it a DNF, but after a hunch I thought I give 1 more place a look, and just my luck I got another find for the night.
Disappointing DNF today. Never knew this bridge was here! Looked high and low but no luck. Will return again!
Winter 2020 trip to Bathurst. Day 2. I joined forces with Fitzy_1965 and MinnieK for another visit to Bathurst and the surrounding area to visit new caches and try to find caches we have all managed to not find on previous visits. It was an overwhelmingly successful trip where we all managed to find some nemesis caches that stretch back several years and many trips to the region. Despite the cold we camped each night and had a most enjoyable weekend now we are allowed out to roam a bit further.
It was an enjoyable walk out to this spot and we managed a find without falling off anything.
Thanks for the cache Archie_03

With COVID-19 restrictions eased so that we can travel within our state, fitzy_1965, albida33 and I headed into the Bathurst region for a long-awaited caching weekend away to turn as many DNF's into smilies as possible and collect any unfound caches inbetween.
Quick find here today....in fact, I think I fluked it.

20,820. Found during Day 2 of a welcome June Long Weekend caching run with minniek and albida33.
After 2 months of being in Lockdown it was great that travel restrictions in NSW have been relaxed allowing non-essential travel (ie Caching) to restart. We decided that a run up around Bathurst to try to avenge a few previous DNFs was in order. A very successful trip with 13 previous DNFs crossed off. This cache was 'new' for us having never tried for it before. It was a lovely walk in to this one, and we were blessed as minniek came up with a quick find - Phew !

After almost giving up hope, saw the bright container out the corner of my eye! Some well worded comments helped to identify the container. Beware of random bugs on the lookout to bite you! My better half didn’t come off so well
Found it. A splash of green on the container & it would have the perfect colour’s. lol

Hatzofff and I are in Bathurst for a few weeks house sitting, and of course have time for lots of caching.
A brisk walk as suggested, and upon arriving at GZ Hatzofff soon had the cache in hand.

**# 24040** Found on another fine sunny Autumn day with MrsRoosta.
Another trip around while at Bathurst for a few days.
Mainly good safe hides and nice quick finds.
I missed this one on our last visit but this time we had success and found it where I looked last time.
Thanks for the cache Archie_03,

Very interesting place, and I was full of hope. I did find some items which may be part of the hide: a blue top of a film canister type container and other small blue bits right near GZ. Other than that spent at least 20 minutes trying all the nooks and crannies and looked for magnetic around the rails, but nothing in the end.
A lovely stroll along the causeway where the line used to go. Old railway bridges can be difficult with so many potential hiding places. I was lucky - a few moments searching had the cache in hand. Then strolled back looking at the abandoned industrial heritage of the area. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC
Last cache of the day after 26km of cycling around Bathurst. Found the squashed container with its lid removed. Logbook has been quite wet but is now dry. We replaced the log in the only spare container that we had left. It may stand out because of its colour. TFTC
Took a friend geocaching this evening. We tried anyway. Was quite dark when we left.
Late afternoon walk to this one. Many spots it could have been. Quick find. Cache all good. Thanks for placing. Tftc
Late afternoon trip into town and couldn't resist making this find and getting the additional bonus of a souvenir.
