Find #4407. Found @ 13:09 with Annoying Tarbit
It has been a while since AT and I been out on a caching run together, and with the Parkville caches rumored to be disappearing from the map, AT wanted to collect some of the uncollected ones.
Neither of us had done the intercache activity, but Annoying Tarbit had a feeling of the gist of perhaps where it might be located due to a gap in the solved locations. We made our way there and soon I made a find of a container (after AT had walked passed it).
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.

Had a few left on the Parkville list that I wanted to try and grab whilst they are still active and so I teamed up with SirJ-Oz for a bit of caching around some previously visited spots. I must admit I didn't do the intercache for this one and so was only guessing at GZ. I put my theory base don other nearby cache in the series to SJO and he liked the idea. We headed to here today in the rain and as I searched in vain it was SJO who mad the find. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the puzzle day1976 (and apologies I never manged to do the intercache) and to Robmc and all the Geocaching Victoria team for the work put into the series of caches for the Parkville mega event.

A day trip to Melbourne with the bicycles on board to ride around the city grabbing the Parkville puzzles seeing how they are going soon.
We left home around 6.20am, got to Parkville unloaded the bicycles and off we went for our days adventure. It was a typical Melbourne day with all kinds of weather.
For us it was quite different getting around the city on our bicycles and travelling all the bicycle paths. By the end of our adventure we had peddled 32.5 ks and ended up with 65 smilies.
It was quite an enjoyable day, something different for us to do and one that we will remember for quite some time.
All the caches we found were in good order and the co-ords spot on which made most of them a quick find.

Seeing as the Parkville Puzzles are going soon, and that we had them all solved, we thought we had better load up the bikes and make a day of riding around the city.
We left home just before 6:30am and got back at at around 8pm. Inbetween we managed a good number of around 60 finds with the puzzle series and a few extras thrown in. And by the end of the ride we had peddled just over 30ks.
It was interesting seeing the city from the bike paths, its not our normal way to travel down this way.
I gotta say we had a typical Melbourne day too, from gale force winds and heavy showers to 10min later the sun was beaming down, making it hot and humid. But we ended the day all smiles and a great and intetesting new look on what the city has to offer (geocaching and bike path wize)
All caches were found in good order and with good coords unless stated.

With the Parkville caches close to their expiration date a small team was put together to tackle the hides as our hometown celebrated a public holiday for the Geelong Cup. Our bikes were taken off the racks, helmets put on, sunscreen applied and we were off on this very warm day, riding our way through Melbourne and this series. Lots of laughs were had with ThePacman, anikano and Jacko83 as each cache was searched for, found and signed.
Thanks Wiser than Owls (day1976) for the placement for us and others to enjoy for the Parkville Mega.

Out caching for the day, MontsII and myself decided to divide and conquer. A diverse assortment of puzzles, and a pleasant walk. Thanks for placing the cache ParkvillePuzzlers (day1976)
Out for an afternoon Parkville Puzzle run - or rather walk - with lochb and G' GJMMelb. We left one car down-river and driven the other to near this one so we didn't have walk back. We had originally planned to take bikes but was glad we decided against it - too many muggles about, it was easier to tackle these on foot. We never got around to trying to solve this one - and with the series due to be archived soon we probably would never have had the chance to... But we got lucky, having solved the surrounding caches we noticed a gap just after passing GZ and headed back to search for it - G' found in in a place I had already searched a few times.... TFTC
I am afraid our team never did solve this puzzle.
Today, on this fine day, Quiet1_au, Lochb, and I walked a five km stretch along the river finding Parkville series caches as we went. We set up a car at each end. Walking along we knew a rough location of this cache. The hint and logs gave us enough information for us to have a look where we thought it may be. We needed to search over a wider area than we normally would. I was about to give up when checked a location already checked and there was the cache. Thanks day1976

A great weekend to pick up a few caches with friends - Skullracing, the GeoPrincess and Jascat. I provided the accommodation, food, drinks and bike for Jascat. Between us we solved what we could and were given some help on others.
Surprisingly we had great weather both days and found some spots in Melbourne that were pretty cool.
Mostly quick easy finds. Thanks to the Parkville Puzzle group for the challenge and caches. Not sure the Princess was thankful for her very sore bottom at the end of day 1.

Out for a bit of a ride with dazzpte and skullracing on this nice sunny day. Having solved a good number of these puzzles and with a bit of a nudge on the others we formulated our plan and off we went.
We are making our way through these fairly quickly aiming to pick up as many as we can today. Thankfully this one and many of the others found have not given us too much trouble. I think it might be time to upgrade the saddle or maybe I just need to get out on the bike a bit more.
Thanks to all those that were part of creating these puzzles and to the Parkville Puzzlers for placing them and keeping them going.

Found with Dazzpete, Jascat and The Geoprincess on a sunny weekend.
We solved as many of the puzzles as we could until our heads hurt, then we got a bit of help and a nudge with the rest, so after plugging all the right numbers into the pointing boxes, we came up with a plan of attack....and attacked it we did, with pens in hand.
The pushys were dragged out of the shed and about 100 cranky spiders were made homeless, and we were off at the speed of wobble for 2 days of fun and giggles...and sore bottoms, but no stacks. We only had a couple of technological glitches but luckily we had the eyephones as backup to get us in the area then we used the force.
Thanks to all the puzzle contributors that tested the grey matter, and to the Parkville puzzlers for putting all of them out and maintaining them, there were only a handful that were missing....cheers.
On a lighter note, we couldn't help but notice some bunch of clowns who called themselves "Extinction Rebellion" had spray painted their logo EVERYWHERE, on the ground, walls, pylons, equipment, all over the shop...…
Perhaps someone should mention to them that releasing hundreds of spray paint cans into the atmosphere isn't super good for the environment.....
…..But they all probably were just getting off on the paint fumes.....oh well, gives them something to do....

Travelling home from work and picking up a few more Parkville mega caches, down to a few small groups here and there now and doing a little pub crawling as I go
Fishermen everywhere, hopefully they were all watching each other.

I took a first pass at GZ some time ago but couldn't take a look as there were a number of fishermen nearby. Fast forward to today with it being cold and wet and I had the place to myself.
I searched a little further down than necessary but as I came back up I found the replacement cache.
The bonus to the cold and wet conditions were that the ducks were out in force!

Another Parkville puzzle cache I found using guesswork instead of solving the puzzle, as I solved #38, and the hint made finding this one easy. The container is missing...it was just the logbook and bag
Out with xambo4u, we planned the day to sign all the Parkville Puzzles that we had solved before Christmas.
With pleasant weather and great company we set off. It took longer than expected as one was quite tricky and two were missing.
An interesting idea for a puzzle, but it drains the battery quickly on an old phone. Thanks day1976

Out for the day with echidna44 to put some smiles onto these challenging puzzles. Some we solved and some we jointly solved with support crew on the puzzle solving days. Some we resort to higher force by using the network. We would like to congratulate the committee for all the hard work put into these puzzles for the mega event and for the support they gave especially with the puzzle solving days they ran. Nice easy find , you not only retrieve with these. Thanks for your cache Wiser than Owls

Melbourne Day 3: Maribyrnong Trail and Museum Precinct
Day 3 started off a little soggy, with passing showers and gloomy skies. Still, I pressed on and cycled from the heart of the city to the mouth of the Maribyrnong and rose upriver as far as I could, collecting caches, most of which are solved Parkville Puzzles. Had lunch by the river and took the train back to the CBD, where I cycled a little more to pick up the last few for the day. Another productive day all round, and thanks for all the caches.
The following is the specific log for each cache:
This cache was found based on the gap in the trail, so my apologies for not doing this the way it was intended to be done, being a non-local, this one would have been fairly time-consuming. But, I am sure it’s a very nice experience overall. TFTC!

Today I decided to tackle the puzzle series on foot and manage to complete the northern and north west sections only. It was a big day where I enjoyed the scenery walking along the rivers and canals and talking to muggles as one rested along the way.
We would like to thank the ParkvillePuzzlers for their time and effort in publishing a variety of challenging puzzles with a range of difficulty to test our skills.

Day 9 of our epic 12 day / 10 night trek to the Parkville Mega in Melbourne.
The constant was my travel companions for the entire trip, - Anymules and S.A. Sewer Rats but we were joined by almost local cacher Bushfire once in Melbourne. So to save space in the logs we usually just wrote our initials BABS.
We had spent our last night in Melbourne but there were still some caches along the Maribyrnong River Trail to find so it was back on the bikes for one last time.
The puzzles had all been solved in the months leading up to the mega so it was just a matter of finding them. Another quick find in an obvious spot.
**Thanks Wiser than Owls for this cache. **

The Melbourne Mega has been and gone so now the hardest part for me is to log all these great caches that we have found over the past six days. We have had six days of full on caching which started with a few high D/T caches in Ballarat using kayaks, ladders, etc the assault started last Wednesday 14th November 18 but not without a few mishaps that included a tree fall, a number of bike mishaps and numerous bloodletting. Some of us look like the walking wounded but you just have to keep soldering on as there is always another cache to be found. I also have to include the stiff legs from all the kilometres walked.
Most logs were signed BABS which stands for brisal5, AnyMules, Bushfire and S.A Sewer Rats to save space in all the log books. This will a generic log owing to the huge number of caches to be logged so I would like to thank all cache owners for the time and effort it takes to place these caches and also for the maintenance of the said caches.
Again thanks to all the cache owners that helped to make the 2018 Melbourne Mega the great success that it was, so now to look forward to St. Arnaud next year where you will be blown away with the quality of the hides.
Save up your favourite points as you will use heaps in this area.

So glad we made the decision to leave the car at home and bring the e-bikes to the Parkville Mega..... the easiest and quickest way to look for the Parkville Puzzles and Challenges. We had a fantastic day finishing around 6.30. TFTC and a great series Wiser than Owls.

Find number 4469. Day 6 of my trip to Melbourne. Today was a walkabout. I caught the 57 tram to the end of the line. Then it was a walk back along the Maribyrmong River collecting caches along the way. Home at 4.30 pm. A long walk and 34 caches found. I have only solved some of these puzzle caches as I did not have time to do them all before I left NZ. So will collect those I have and enjoy the walk past the others. I had the cache in hand when muggle walked by. Thank you for the placement.

Well its MEGA time again and plans were put in place with the FurfacesLL ladies for another weekend of fun and trouble Had the company of one of the ladies just for the weekend however was lucky enough to have the company of FFLL#1 for the drive down, across the weekend, as well as a week in and around the Gippsland area. We attended a number of events, visited a number of Earthcaches, virtuals and a nice number of caches. Many challenges collected and many multis completed.
Many puzzles solved prior to coming down for this Mega Event, some were easy and some really had the brain working overtime. No issues locating this one tonight.
Thanks for the cache hide Wiser than Owls and the ladies of FurfacesLL for another great caching adventure away from home

Time for another adventure to attend the MEGA in Parkville VIC. Plans were made with Rapidlywild to work on all the puzzles around the area before the trip and head down to this event together. Lots of fun was had collecting all types of caches over the long weekend/week which included puzzles, multi's, earth caches, labs, letterboxes, trads and even a couple of virtuals for good measure, (think we may have to invest in an e-bike).
Another one solved and on our to be found list. Some really had the grey matter working to solve.
Thanks for the cache ParkvillePuzzlers (day1976) and thanks Rapidlywild for the giggles and another great adventure.
Sorry for the generic logs

This one was helped solved with some fellow puzzle solvers who did a bit of the ground work with the Intercache, but having had a couple of these in my own geoart, I love the concept. This is where an Intercache works so well I think. This afternoon while attending the Parkville mega, I headed out and managed to grab just three caches in this series. I parked at the car park and enjoyed the nice stroll to GZ where the cache was located in between passing muggles.

After visiting family in SA i decided i would pop over to Melbourne for the MEGA event. I had an ebike for 5 days and did so much sightseeing in between looking for caches. I have been trying to log cache finds ever since. Teamed up with SKVR and Kyzabra and rode about 30 km picking up lots of caches en route. This was a quick easy find on one of the many enjoyable days at the mega. Thanks for the cache parkevillepuzzlers
Catching up on a couple of lost or forgotten caches that l found while attending the Mega Weekend with omegaman1971, Happy Feet and DiMorgan. This was one of the many puzzles that we found amongst the Trads, Multis and Challenges that we came across. This particular cache was soon located after a short search as we had many sets of eyes and hands to help. Thanks ParkvillePuzzlers for the puzzle and the hide.
Found it with pwala, kangas11 and everlasting, signed as C.P.K.E
Thanks for the cache.

When these were first published on a long weekend I had a few solved straight away but I didn't bother coming for FTF hunts because I was basically too lazy and i had to pay tolls to get here. I then finalised a few more at a puzzle solving event as well so at least we had a fair few to go and search for.
Today on the bikes Fleabag- and I cruised around for nearly 3 hours and met a couple of other teams along the way. Longest search was probably a couple of minutes at one of the caches, otherwise no DNF's and we also picked up 3 I hadn't solved just by guessing where they would be based on the hints. Love it when that happens. We also picked up a few trads that were along the way.
We then headed back to Mega HQ for some lunch and headed off.
Thanks ParkvillePuzzlers (day1976) for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Day Four of the odessey over to Mexico for the Parkville Mega event. Day 2 of the event and a bike ride around the eastern loop of the Map of Victoria Geo Art caches, as well as a few other opportunistic caches that were found along the way. I was joined by my muggle mate Ben, who enjoyed getting outdoors and was especially impressed with the Lab caches. It was a hot one, but a lovely spot to ride along the river and we managed to complete most of the series, though sadly this meant I missed the closing ceremony.
This was find number 22 of 30 for the day for me. TFTC Wiser than Owls!

I was walking along the river collecting a few caches and noticed a couple of gaps where there could be unsolved puzzles. Knowing which puzzles they were likely to be, I checked the hints and was fairly confident that I could find a couple. After arriving at GZ, I checked a couple of spots and, once the muggles had departed, had the cache in hand.
Thanks for the cache ParkvillePuzzlers (day1976). This was find #3722. Please discover my trackable: MMGJ6B

We hadn't soled this one on Friday so made the trek back out to GZ today after finishing it off. We'd looked very close to here for another cache without realizing just how close we were.
Glad to find it today.
Sunday dawned sunny and warm. Stainless steel rat and I hooked up with 1toolman for the third straight day but today we had 999hunter along to share in the antics. Today was a day for filling in the gaps, finding a few we'd missed or just not had time to get to. We started out near Avondale Heights where we finished our bike ride on Friday, then had a few stops along the Maribyrnong River, we then zipped out to the Merri Merri Creek trail to finish off. It was a busy day but a great 'clean up' and we then ended up back at the farewell event to say farewell.

After so much work was put into this one we only got to look for it on our last day but were pleased to find it and add our names to the log.
What a great, no in fact a MEGA weekend!
Myself and gooseandegg had booked our accommodation and flights from Hobart many many moons ago and we both have spend late nights solving puzzles in readiness for the trip, a couple of days before we fly we still had no real plan other than having fun and catching up with cachers, but we got our stuff together and were as ready as we would ever be.
Leaving work early on the Thursday to get our flight we landed in time to grab a few caches before heading to the hotel to check in.
We were pleased it wasn't too hot on the Friday since we had a big bike ride planned thanks to Toolman we had bikes and a second car so we could leave one at each end of our planned route but this locked us into a ride from Paso Vale to Avondale Heights, with side trips to grab extra caches we signed most of the logs as "Team GTS' of "GTS" and must have covered 25Kms? By the end it was showing so we missed the last few so we could get to the bowls event as we were all starving hungry .... well this was where our plans went down the tube, all the ideas of having a nice sit down meal with fellow caches were off and it was only a chance meeting with some cachers we know that made us all fill a car and head off to a place we had passed on Racecourse Road while on our bike ride.
But as it turned out it was a great evening with 5 of us Tasmanian cachers on one table (unbeknownst to us some other cachers we know were in a another room) a great feed of streaks all round.
After a few caches on the way to the hotel it was sleep then up in the morning to head over to Parkville for a main event, we spent a far bit of time doing the labs and some local caches and the 2020 event before heading out to find a few more puzzles and challengers, this was cut short when the TOOLMAN got a call that one of his lab caches had been damaged so we rushed back via Bunnings so we could help fix it up.
The evening was spent grabbing a few more caches with us getting to sleep after 1am due to solving a couple of puzzles.
Sunday we spent a bit of time at the main site catching up with fellow caches before we were joined by 999Hunter and we set off to grab a few caches we missed on Friday, it turned out Hunter had the same unfound caches as us three so it worked out very well, we got back to the Mega site just in time for the closing event and then the loooong wait for a pork sandwich, every Mega I have been to it's been the same, next Mega I'm taking a cut lunch.
After a bit of a relax and more catching up we ended up doing a local tree climb on the spur of the moment since someone had a ladder to get us started after that we said our goodbyes and headed to the airport, we got home not long before midnight.
Thanks for a great Mega.

Brad ad Janet are both keen geneologists and as such we have sepnt a lot of time in these sorts of locations and in fact in this particular one as some of Janet's ancestors are here.
We had a lot of fun solving this series of puzzles before coming to Melbourne.
The series was a Mega target for our group and we managed to successfully find them all.
Thanks very much ParkvillePuzzlers
Generic Mega log:
Our trip to the Mega was shorter than the originally planned 4 days due to various personal issues. But a late gap in the calendar meant a FIFO for Brad only rather than the originally planned DIDO for both of us. Ruff_Ruff and TBQ also missed out.
Fortunately Brad was able to hook up with some enthusiastic teams for a busy time. Logs were signed /stamped with individual team names, or in some cases the various teams' initials of KBFGDJM were used for a group log. (or variant anagrams thereof.)
Thanks to all the tireless workers and hiders for all the great caches and for another excellent Victorian Mega Event

Out this way with Happy pants, omegaman1971 and Di Morgan. The main objective today was to do the handbag series after doing all the puzzles. Took the opportunity to also grab anything else we came across, along the way. We saw a number of other teams and visited some nice little park areas, while completing the series. We had no DNF's and made some good discoveries and clever hides during the day. The logs where signed HHO, while we had some fun and laughs along the way.
We had wandered about this huge cemetery, grabbing the info needed to complete this one. After finding the info and checking that they were correct, it was just a matter of now making the find. Once at GZ, it was an easy enough find.
Thanks Wiser than Owls for placing the cache and giving us this adventure.

Parkville Mega 2018
This was my first ever Mega Geocaching event, and only my 3rd event ever. I do prefer the solo caching life style and don't enjoy crowds much. However it was a great day meeting new people, caching up with some old friends and meeting a few of the faces and names I've seen online. So many people I missed meeting for the first time however.
The high lights for me, was 1Toolman's lab caches, caching as a team with some Tassie guys, finishing a D5 I've been working on for months and finishing the second day off with a huge tree climb, up a 5 meter ladder and then monkey climbing the rest of the way.
Day 2 started with meeting Toolman, who then introduced me to his Tassie caching mates, and then started another first for me. Geocaching as a team and for the rest of the day we were all signing as GTS and Hunter...
I thought this would be the last Parkville Puzzlers that I had solved, however the GTS team had worked this one out the night before. I can't believe how many times I had walked past this one. I would have even walked past it, before anyone had found it. Shame I didn't stop to look.
Thanks for the cache Day 1976

Had a great time solving these puzzles over the last few weeks and collecting them today. Met lots of cachers out and about. Thanks to all the puzzle makers!
Caching today with Shane from Southern Cross Caching, Aussie M & M and mogni. We signed logs as SAM today to save time and space.
Thanks for this cache.
Thanks for this cache.
Today Spiffy- and I met up at the mega and decided it was time to collect a few solved puzzles of which Spiffy- had done the bulk of the heavy lifting for. Sunny but no issue for the stealth bikes. A few random meet ups too with the mega bringing others out for the hunt. Many devious puzzles but all finds were straight forward. Thanks to ParkvillePuzzlers (day1976) for placing this cache.
I had a great time in Melbourne during the event and awesome company. JACS team and i planned our rounds to tackle all those challenge and Victoria map caches thoroughly. Without having a bike it was quite important to do good team work to get the two series done in about 5h each day of the weekend.
Thanks a lot to the Victorian geocachers to create another great event with awsome trails of geocaches.

Out today (Day 3 - Sunday) with Crank1, Everlasting and Kangas11 for the Mega event weekend at Parkville. Thanks for the cache. Nice strolling along river.
I had my boys Tyler and Cooper with me today as we attended the Parkville Mega. We attended the events and spent the day on our bikes with Jacko83 and perpetuallylost doing some of the caches of the GeoArt.
What a perfect day for a ride and to catch up with caching friends.
Thanks for the cache.

The first day of the Melbourne Parkville Mega event with the Godfather Freddo and gridge98, and we spent the day finding a few caches by car, learning about the SA Millicent 2020 Mega event, and then riding around the various river and rail bike trails collecting the Parkville caches. We ended the day by checking in to the Mega event, performing some lab caches, before having a nice cooked BBQ.
This cache and contents turned out to be all good. Thanks heaps for the work and preparation towards this cache! Cheers.

The afternoon of the Mega had me out riding picking up the Victoria GeoArt with PerpetuallyLost, Quarsar3671, Tyler and Cooper. I spent months solving these. Unfortunately they have all become a blue. Thanks to all the CO's in their efforts creating these!
The MGC is a really interesting place to check out. Somewhere here is the grave of Burke and Wills however I couldn't find it. I also apparently have some relatives here.
Thanks day for an cool concept!

My first weekend of solid caching in forever!
Although attending all the Vic mega events over the past few years I have always been to busy to go out and find caches. This weekend is going to be different! I drove down from Wangaratta early to start cycling the creek trails. I was out with a few cachers today so the log books were signed DFGJK being our initials.
I apologize for the completely generic logs but I didn’t have enough battery charge or time to make any notes throughout the day. We had a lot of fun exploring a part of town I probably never would’ve seen otherwise, so TFTC’s

In Melbourne for the Parkville Event. Today was a day for Labs and getting a head start on the puzzles and challenges series. Huge amount of walking completed which is good for the old step count.
Joined up with Aussie M & M to tackle this series. This is what we are targetting for our long weekend here and only grabbing other caches with they cross our path.
Thanks to those that put these out and to those who are maintaining them.

An afternoon spent cycling with Jacko83 (who graciously lent me a bike after mine failed to get off the mark), quaser3671 and his two enthusiastic boys Tyler and Cooper, inbetween festivities at the Mega. Each of us had our fair share of finds but credit to Jacko83 and quaser3671 for having solved the puzzles we found along the way.
A qausar find here.
Nice to see the river from a different vantage point after always seeing it from the bridge as we drive over.
A great day and great caching, thx to all the COs.

Its Mega time ! After knocking off a fun bunch of Lab caches we headed out for some more caching fun. We had solved a bunch of the Parkville puzzles so we decided to grab a few of them. Managed a park nearby and went for a bit of a hike along the river. A quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and we continued along to the next one.

Road trip to Melbourne for the Parkville Mega with fitzy_1965 and my 4 geokids, B0tmun, Lovetherabbitohs, death killer & my_name_jeff_1 (signed kids a 4GKs). Had sneakysquirrel3326 with us for the afternoon as well.
Day 2 saw us doing the lab caches then head off to find some of the new puzzle caches we had pre-solved. Quick find here today even though we hadn't solved the puzzle.....just took a wild guess given the gap in the map!

In town for the MEGA and thought we would spend the day collecting caches along this trail, headed out on the train with our bikes 20kms ahead and many hides along the way. Two flat tyres and a couple of DNF's many, many muggles that snuck up very quickly.
J1 really loves cemetery history and this one was a great trip around looking at some sites that are missing TLC and wondering what may have caused their end. A FP from J1. The cache was a quick find.

Away for the weekend with Freddo and Davidwazza to the Parkville Mega.
My first mega that I had attended and I had a really enjoyable time.
Some of the log books were signed with my name others were signed with just a G part of the group name, a combination of KBJGD.
We were happily joined by KB who was a machine finding a lot of the caches.
Thanks to the CO for all the placement of caches, the earyh caches answers will be sent in the coming days also.
We were very successful in finding majority of caches but some we DNF.

Happen to be in Melbourne for work and timers it to work with the Mega weekend. Extended my stay for the event.
Picked up SVKR_WA from his hotel around 6.30 and we headed out to grab some caches before hitting the event.
Met up with Dezzabills at the event and we all headed out on our bikes.
We worked on these puzzles on the lead up to Melbourne and happy we got this one sorted. It's a long way from WA so we were determined.
Wiser than Owls, Kyzabra found your cache Parkville Puzzle 36 - 10 Individuals, on 17/11/18. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

On a walk with Muggle Hubby today along the Maribyrnong River, to find some more of the Parkville Mystery caches before we attend the Mega. Muggle Hubby had just handed me the cache when we were sprung by Phetlern. Actually it was amazing how many Cachers we met along the way.

Mega - Eve, the perfect opportunity for another bike ride on the city outskirts trails, seeking out smiley tokens to add to our collection, making our own outline of Victoria on the geo-map gradually become a reality.
Mega Effort by ParkvillePuzzlers to identify hiding spots and have such a range of puzzles created to lead cachers to the GZ's and a cool piece of GeoArt.
Thanks to 'Wiser than Owls' for placing all these caches on the geo-gameboard.

My good Mate Roostaman was down from Wagga Wagga for the Mega and staying at My place, A plan was hatched to meet up with Ski Pair and ride some of the trails today, Roostaman left us for dead with his new electric bike. We enjoyed the ride with some great hides found. Many hours went in to solving all the puzzles for the event. Thanks Wiser than Owls for the cache.
We met up with Rebel Acts and Roostaman the previous day and cached the area round Moe concentrating on the Robot Charlie Series of puzzles that had only recently come back on line, but today it was off to Melbourne and time to get into some of the many caches placed for the Parkville Mega.
We all travelled down separately and were organised to leave a car at the end point and then travel to a starting place so we didn't have to backtrack once we had completed the bike ride on the trails. This was well and good until a couple of trucks came together on the Westgate and traffic snarls added to our difficulties.
Rebel and Roosta arrived considerably earlier than us and got as organised as is possible for them before we got there. Then it was time to get the bike off the back of the car and catch up.
What a great set of trails to ride on! the day was lovely in the mid 20s with only a slight breeze so great for riding amongst some great parks and scenery. I even managed to keep up despite having the only fully pedal-power bike in the group! Although the others delighted in passing me on every hill!
Early riding was at times challenging with many ups and downs and tight bends, but what a great ride. There were quite a few people out, both cachers and muggles!
We picked up a great variety of caches; puzzles, letterboxes, multis, trans and a wide variety of hides. I believe we only missed 2 for the day!
At the end of 25km, we had had a great ride and done some good caching.
A day filled with meeting other caches, and much fund and hilarity.
Thank you to the Mega team and all other cache owners along our route.
Well done to Rebel, the brains trust behind the puzzle solving.
We will be back to complete those we haven't attempted yet.

Out with Trailstevo last night, a Saturday night adventure instead of our usual Sunday night. Arrived at around 7pm, just late enough to miss the worst of the races traffic. Plenty of muggles about so we had a bad start literally failing on our first 7 cache, but knowing we were going to have to com back through later on the way back, so no big deal. Great to pick up a few more of the solved puzzles, another escaped animal, Geo-sensed our way to three puzzles we didnt solve and few extra trads down in Yarraville. We covered around 11-12km, a nice steady walk and great to get some fresh air, although some areas smelt a bit fishy! Thanks for the fun.
Once the Flemington crowds had died down took to the cyclepaths either side of the river with Gunks. Picked up some traditionals and some puzzles. TFTC
I've had this cache earmarked to do for a while, but not got around to it. However, as I was walking back to my car from finding another cache on this trail, my geosenses started pinging, and I though "I'll JUST have a little look in that spot". Lo and behold, I accidentally found the cache without the coordinates. One day I'll do the puzzle, the intercache sounds intriguing! Thanks for taking part in the series, and I look forward to doing this properly
Suscoe had a day out in Melbourne today.
A few things to do and a bit of caching time as well.
A pleasant day, just right for finding caches in the outdoors.
Thanks to the Parkville folks and day1976 for this cache.
All good at GZ.
A pleasant afternoon to be out and about.

We headed down to the big smoke to tackle some of the Parkville hides we had worked so hard to solve and help out with a maintenance run - not that many of them needed anything.
We jumped on the bikes and headed off on the trail - they sure made it easy.
I think this is only our second intercache but this one was quite a bit longer. Really enjoyed the experience of this cook's tour.
Thanks for a terrific weekend Wiser than Owls

With the Mega fast approaching, it was time to go and check all the caches to make sure they are still in good condition. I was accompanied by The Morris for all the Mysteries, and rode solo for the rest. Grabbing the deadly treadlies we set of on what is really a lovely ride, well worth doing by bike.
The tricky park of walking around cemeteries is finding the right access to the right grave.
The GPSr says just over there, but all the graves are in rows and it is tricky to get between them.
An interesting collection of people and information.
I had done this first part a while ago, but just now got around to signing the log.
Thanks, Robmc.

Another one to find in a big day of collecting caches. It's great to see the variety of puzzles set by the COs. A quick grab along the way today. TFTC
The last few week we have been working with a few like minded people working through all of the Parkville Puzzles and with today being a free day Ausfox; and myself decided to make the journey up and grab a few to turn the hard work into smileys.
What was meant to be an easy and relaxing day turned into a massive amount of walking. Luckily it was tame terrain for the most of it with load of kilometers covered for our finds.
Thank you all the team that contributed to the puzzles in anticipation for the up coming Mega.

I headed out today to see what I can find, I had a few of these puzzles solved but not all of them but how hard can it be to find a cache without the coordinates.
With some scientific calculations and as well as a indication from the hint, it was then determined that the cache would be here and that's where I found it but seeing that this one is an intercache I will eventually go and do this one properly.
**Thanks to Wiser than Owls for placing this cache.**
