Reperio 14:47Day 1 of my little escapade towards Albury for the weekend, and after spending the night at Bowral, it was on to Tumbarumba this evening. On a drizzly day, it was nice to get out and find a few roadside caches, and this one was soon located and signed.Gratias RoostamanAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
With the Monday of the long weekend off, I decided to head over to Wagga for the CITO. The area was looking much better when we finished. After the clean-up, DSD and I decided on going for a big caching day trip. The trip saw us driving to Corryong via Tumbarumba on the way there. On the way back to Wagga, we decided to follow the river and go via Holbrook. The loop was approximately 380km. It was a very nice scenic drive which for most of the trip, neither had driven along before. So a few new LGAs for us and we also got to meet, The Man from Snowy River. It was a great trip and of course we found as many caches as possible along the way. Most the caches we found were quick finds and were signed as: JM & DSD. To end the day, we also managed a FTF on a new cache in Wagga. Thanks to DSD for letting me tag along. One last thing, with todays finds I have broken my previous biggest year and its not even December yet. TB visit. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. TFTE & TFTCs!
Day 3 of our Great Leap Forward leap year Mega trip of 2024. Stopping Wagga for the weekend so we can attend a few events. Caching today with Joolay, Kittykatch and GLISS! Signed WW24 (Wagga Wanders 24). Always wonderful to be travelling across the country enjoying the amazing scenery and caching along the way. Main focus for this trip will be to tidy up the last couple of counties needed in Victoria and make a serious dent in the South Australian ones. Plus a few days in Adelaide enjoying the mega fun. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches so we can enjoy the game.
A caching road trip to Wagga to attend a couple of events and find a bunch of caches with Joolay and oother Canberra cachers. Logs signed as Wagga Wanderers 2024 (WW24). Thanks for the hide Roostaman
Puzzle time completed so now to get the next trail. Had these in our sights for ages.Met up with Nibletricecakes and GLISS!, signing as Wagga Wanderers 24 or WW24.Decided to travel down to Wagga for the events and to get some caching in with Kittykatch. Also a good time to christen her little camper. Awesome setup and we are ready to go.Thanks for getting me out and about Roostaman

Middle geokid wanted to go camping this weekend, and with the weather looking good we finally made the decision to head up to Tumbarumba for the night camping at Henry Angel Flats (Hume & Hovel walking track) I have camped here before passing through and had completed the northern set of caches, we were keen to complete the southern this time plus the new ones added to the northern side.
Quick find here, lots of cyclists out enjoying the rail trail. TFTC !

Did a day trip to Rosewood to check out the nursery and have some lunch, had to get some more smiley faces! Tftc
I didn’t see the creek until after finding the cache so I could make the association to the cache name.
A beautiful park and grab with an amazing large parking area great for the kids as enough space from Road for safety thank you for the hide
Off to Melbourne for the grand final weekend and decided a two day trip was the way to go...just for something different. Haven't been along this road for a long time, way before this series of caches, so made the decision to check them out. All had great parking and all were found without issue. And even after all the rain we've had, all caches were found in very good condition. Dropped a few TB's to hopefully entice a few more people out here as well.
Thanks Roostaman.... a neat way to send a few hours.

Day 5 of our NSW road trip and we venture from Tumbarumba to Wagga Wagga. Another road not travelled before and many caches to be found. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining them for us to discover.
Caching today from Tumbarumba to Wagga Wagga. Hopefully the weather will be a little warmer, but I am not counting on it. Due to the number of caches found, I am doing a generic log. Thank you for placing this cache in this location - allowing other geocachers to find. Found cache and signed log. TFTC.
With BomEm, on on a hike and bike exploration of the Tumbarumba area.

Lovely spot to watch the cows and cyclists go by, while I and the Geopooch wait for the rest of the family to ride by!! TFTC!
We have finally got to Tumut to visit our son and his family after the Covid-19 restrictions, and with a beautiful sunny day we thought that we would see how we went on this trail. So far today we have managed to convert 2 previous blueys into yellow smilies, so we are hoping that the rest of the day is as productive. We did have the thought that we could catch up with Mr and Mrs Roosta at the end of the day-but wouldn’t you know it, the pair has just set off on the road again! Can’t say we didn’t try.
After a miss, replacing one and a skip due to DNF’s, we were glad to find this one and sign the log!

Tftc roostaman, doing your trail W to T . We will be enjoying the drive, scenery and weather. Muggles cycling by on the rail trail.
On a point A to A road trip without my favourite ally OZREG. It's too cold for him anyway, LOL. It is a very cold day in May, but the rain was fantastic! We are out visiting family who are well and truly awaiting our arrival after such a long, but necessary hiatus.
As the caches on my list are quick stop and go's, this is a generic log, and I shall only add additional comments if needs must. Thanks to the _ stephenson 5, jacko*, Roostaman, The Ciscokids, Mrs Roosta and the Britto's for providing and maintaining these hides.

With a long weekend looming plans were hatched to go and do some caching in Wagga
Wagga. So Rapidlywild and only the monkey half of the FFLL team hit the road on Friday after
work. A lot of different caches were found while driving around the area enjoying the views and the lovely weather.
Nice easy trail with only a couple taking a little longer then others, but all caches were found in good condition.
Thanks for the hide and trail Roostaman and thanks Rapidlywild for a successful weekend away.

With a long weekend in Canberra, a geocaching trip away was calling us. So FurfacesLL and myself made plans to hit the road and revisit Wagga Wagga to do some more caching. A large range of caches were collected, many terrain and some lovely country views enjoyed.
Today we decided to do the W2T and T2W caches and enjoy the drive. Most were found easily, however we did notch up a couple DNF's today due to changed locations.
Thanks for the hide Roostaman And thanks to FFLL for another fun weekend out and about the Wagga and surrounds region

Travelling from Wangaratta to Tumbarumba for a funeral today, but with a little time up our sleeves we gathered a few caches on the way. Still Creek looks delightful in the morning sunlight. SL at 10.07am #6371 TFTC and the light relief Roostaman - time to stop having fun and continue to our destination and family duty. Hopefully there are a couple more to collect on our way home again this afternoon.
From GZ I could clearly see a creek down below
It is shown on my map as Mannus Creek.
Just upstream from here,
Pigsty Creek flows into it [:o]
I don't think I'll drink the water thanks

Day 2 of our Aus weekend away, looking to be a lot cooler. We spotted this series while doing evening research. After yesterday being a fairly quiet one due to the heat and the decision to sit in some waterfalls for half a day we needed to up our numbers, the w2t and t2w seemed to be a good fit. Tftc
Cache found quickly and in good condition.

Day 3 of KmanNZ VIC/NSW Summer Roadtrip 2018. Wagga Wagga to Mt Beauty via Tumbaruma (loved the name but the town was all closed.....) Albury and Wodonga. Great views and awesome driving roads and 27 caches collected. Getting close to my goal of 1000 finds for 2018.

Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
I’m currently working on a Project-GC challenge to get the average word count on my logs over 200 words.
So please ignore the rest of this log as it is just nonsense and song lyrics.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, and if she had to die
Tryin' she, had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
Well, It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could hear the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' on the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful, when
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
Well I'm a-runnin' down the road try'n to loosen my load
I've got seven women on my mind
Four that want to own me, two that want to stone me
One says she's a friend of mine
Take it easy, take it easy
Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy
Lighten up while you still can
Don't even try to understand
Just find a place to make your stand, and take it easy
Well, I'm a standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona
Such a fine sight to see
It's a girl, my Lord, in a flat-bed Ford
Slowin' down to take a look at me
Come on, baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me
We may lose and we may win, though we will never be here again
So open up I'm climbin' in, so take it easy
Well, I'm a runnin' down the road tryin' to loosen my load
Got a world of trouble on my mind
Lookin' for a lover who won't blow my cover, she's so hard to find
Take it easy, take it easy
Don't let the sound of your own wheels make you crazy
Come on baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me
Oh, we got it easy
We oughta take it easy
Thanks for the cache.

Australia Day 2018 Long weekend Trip to Jindabyne for lake diving and on to Wagga to catch up with Riverina caches. Day 3. Today started with the breakfast event and then I jumped in the car and traveled to Wagga via Tumbarumba. The weather stayed clear today, a bit of a surprise. I had come along this road to do the T2W series. I did most of it today and few others as well. It was great to see the remains of the old railway along the way.
Thanks.
